The first two days of my miniLOAD LO's: The first prompt was general school and learning something new. I finished a couple of pages I started at a class during the retreat:  scraphappy road trip miniLOAD #1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points: two pages created & shared (4), #2 outdoor fun (2), #8 summer road trip (2), #17 single photo (1), #23 rectangular photos (2), #24 square pages (2), #30 5x7 photo (1), #31 three pic's of me (3), #39 prepackaged diecuts (2), #40 fussy cutting stamped images (2), #42 trip was a two hour drive (including driving to hotel to pick up "my people") (4), #44 watercoloured stamped images (2), #54 this was a lift of a TN spread our class teacher presented (1), #60 time with friends (2), #61 all materials were part of the class package (2), #62 photo by Gondola staff and one by wait staff (2). Total: 34 The second prompt was Schedule, and the technique was NUMBERS. Created a pretty simple card for dh for our anniversary. There is a photo of us inside.  51 years by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points: one card created & shared (2). Lots of cool pages teacherlisa The photo strips are really neat. That's a great way to fit 12 photos on one small page. I like your journaling inserts and flip ups and including the "instructions" was a nice touch. |

Off to a Potato Festival for the day, but I managed to get my miniLOAD LO done this morning with the prompt to discuss teachers and to use chalkboard elements. I am failing at the challenge to remember my own school days, but am happy to have some photos my dgd texted me about her experience dissecting a sheep's eye. I made it fit the prompt... I think.... Got to go to a crop before the first day of school for my baby tomorrow....waaaah, last one! But laughing with good friends is always nice. Finally scrapped these pics of my niece's wedding....they are melancholy as their marriage ended due to his deplorable behavior, but such a sweet memory of us all together. I had to say a prayer that my niece will find a man that loves her like no one else. She's a wonderful person and mother. I made 6 double pages on the weekend but only 3 of them are really worth your time, and they're still very simple. All are going to be 5x8 pages in a blurb book so imagine the spine running down the middle. Let me know what you think of these splatters - honest/critical feedback welcome! Almost forgot, I did some crafty stuff on Monday - I paper pieced a little bear inside the birthday card I gave my friend. I had made the card last year. I've been watching Lisa Fonseca videos on YT thanks to a Pea and decided I'd try cutting a critter too. I used the bear on the front of the card as a model. It was a bit fiddly because it was small but I think he turned out well. I'm going to make more critters to out on the fronts of cards. http://instagr.am/p/B1XAvo9gMA8 |

joblackford your bear is super cute! I quite like the splatters, the little grey halo on some of them is not something I traditionally see on digi splatters but it feels more like real splatters this way.
