I finished last year’s DD in January and made a SS 6x8 album at an Expo with photos from Christmases past. Not to brag or anything, haha! Thanks for starting this thread, Miss sleepingbooty, enabler-extraordinaire. I have so many unused Christmas lines, including last year’s adorable Crate Paper. Will this be the year I don’t buy any new holiday paper? I doubt it, but a girl can dream...

I’m in love with MME Yuletide. I’m hoping Ali’s DD is hideous so FOMO doesn’t come around and bite me on the butt!

I wonder if that new DD sneak is one of Brandi's? She's been doing a bunch of water color stuff.

I see a DD sneak on Instagram and instantly knew I had to come pop back to these boards like a mole coming above ground sniffing the fresh air and wondering where the worms are.
I've missed this thread! I've missed you, you lovely people!
I haven't finished last year's album yet, but I'm hoping that now excitement for this year will get me back in the groove for finishing it, I need to finish it before I start this year's otherwise it'll never been done. I like those tags Ali sneaked! Very Merry Days.

I'm hopping on in here to join in on all the DD fun. It's my very favourite project of the year by far! I'm usually pretty good about finishing them up but for whatever reason my 2017 album is not quite complete. I've put it on my desk to get it done before the end of August so I can start the new DD "season" with a clean slate!
Last year I was smart (ha ha) and only bought a few pieces from a couple of collections I liked and committed to making those pieces work with my existing holiday-themed stash. I was able to use up quite a bit...which is good, because there's a few things I like the look of this year! I'm really looking forward to seeing what Crate Paper comes out with.

I like Ali's tags too and although I'm interested to see what she comes up with this year, I haven't felt tempted in the last couple of years due to colour schemes and international shipping prices. I don't have a lot of Xmas stuff in my stash so I'm open to buying something new if I like it enough. I actually have my eye on the MMY Holly Jolly collection and I'm waiting to see if my favourite online store will have it.

Those tags are divine and exactly the aesthetic I love! They do not coordinate at all (imo) with the big puffy circles or rubber charms, so I'm a bit confused.

Has anyone heard if Ali will have guest designers like she had before? I usually like theirs better than hers. :X

FYI, AE's Joy story kit and stamp are on sale for $11.99 each. I think they would work great for DD documenting.

I wonder if that new DD sneak is one of Brandi's? She's been doing a bunch of water color stuff. Looks more generic to me. I think this is just Ali's handwriting on top of watercolour vectors they found online. Which reminds me that I need to go check what this week's freebies on Creative Market are...

If so, just look at her 2018 Christmas offer on The Lilypad, December You Are My Fave n° 7. She's been recycling her previous year's digital collections for the DD mini kits.

Pink And Paper, a European scrap shop posted boxes from American Crafts having arrived at their warehouse today. They tagged it with Pink Paislee and Crate Paper. Since Heritage has been in stock in their shop for a week now, I'm guessing the Christmas collections from PP and CP have arrived. We know that Pink Paislee's line is already allowed to be sold so that should get stocked quickly. Which leaves the CP Christmas line mystery.
Let the stalking of the #cratepaper hashtag on social media begin! Somebody's bound to give something away a little too early.
Reminder: last year, Crate Paper were promoting Maggie Holmes' autumn release during July and early August (Willow Lane). They delayed their Christmas release and only posted the reveal blog post on August 22nd. I had to check because I misremembered and thought it was by mid-August. I hope it's a little earlier this year!

The Button Farm has an album kit using Simple Stories Country Christmas on pre-sale. It cost $52.99. I really wanted to buy a kit with instructions like this one but Country Christmas isn't what I'm in the mood to use.

I am so torn for what to do this year!
Last year I created a 4x6 album with a very minimal style using mostly Jamaica Makes mini kit. This year my plan was to go back to the 6x8, very crafty, AE kit, etc. and I have been super excited for this. BUT... then I had some big life changes and this winter we will be in an apartment and some of my scrappy stuff will be packed away and, because of the smaller/temporary situation we won't do as much in terms of decorating, etc. In contrast, Christmas 2020 will be our first Christmas in our brand new house that we're building! So needless to say, I want to do the big, craft, AE kit album in 2020. And I had wanted to mix up my size/style so that two years in a row aren't the same... so not sure what to do now. With my life situation I think make a digital book makes the most sense for this year, but also I'm really itching to get crafty... I guess it depends on how much I love the kits this year. I am excited to see Crate Paper (still regretting passing on Merry Days last year to minimize supplies) and AEs release. Also if Geralyn produces anything.
Yay for December Daily! I'm not at all ready for cold weather or the busyness of the holidays (it's already too busy here for me now!) but I am excited for holiday collections and all the fun of December Daily!!

I don't do DD's, but thought you gals might be interested in the Elizabeth Crafts latest release. They have a planner system, then dies for different page shapes (some of them interactive) and elements (including film strip numbers for dates) and shaped reinforcements, and several coordinating stamp sets. If I WERE going to do a DD, I would be very tempted to pick these up!

I also like to mix up sizes from year to year. KP usually has a 3x8 kit and has had a 3x8 album available the past few years, so that could be a good compromise (you can still get full 6x8 photos in there if you fold out or cut in the middle). I always like Jamaica’s 4x4 DD albums but it just doesn’t feel like enough space.

As long as that gold splatter album doesn't have horrible handwriting on the front, it's going to be mine.

I just love their dies though.

OMG OMG I *LOVE* all of that. - I doubt it’s all in my budget but OMG I LOVE IT! I absolutely love them too! If someone would make dies like that to fit 6x8, I'd be giddy! Thanks for sharing that, grammadee! I just dropped some serious money on those dies/red planner for my very first December Daily. Things haven't been too good around here lately so I thought I'd treat myself to something new. I chatted with Angelica while shopping, and she said the planner itself is about 6 1/2" wide by 9 1/4" high. The inside pages (and the size of the dies for that) are about 4 3/4" wide and about 8 1/4" high. She said those pages will fit in a Filofax. so they must be a common size. I ordered the Planner Essential dies #12 (arrow and trees),#13 (winter inset), #14 (bookmark #1) and #16 (Christmas Tree page) for my DD, and I also ordered the #4 so I could cut a plain regular sized page. I love the little die of the pickup truck (#16) and I know I can use some dies I already have for this. I ordered the red planner for this year. I'm not too crazy about the slots in the front of the planner, but hope I can use a different one next year. I figure I have enough Christmas paper already and can use up what I have here with these dies. There are Facebook pages dedicated to this system, the Elizabeth Craft Designs Family (closed group) and the ECD Planner Group. I joined both so I can get some ideas on how to use all this! Oh, and she also gave me a code to save 15% (WELCOME15) so go ahead and knock yourself out, girls! I saved $20 on my order, so that's one free die set! Have fun shopping!
