I don't hate the color scheme ---- I love the greens and black. I do wonder if that is more that one set of tags, just photographed together? I could see the ornament/joy tag/and December Memories tag being in a 'colorful' tag set.

Last year I created a 4x6 album with a very minimal style using mostly Jamaica Makes mini kit. This year my plan was to go back to the 6x8, very crafty, AE kit, etc. and I have been super excited for this. BUT... then I had some big life changes and this winter we will be in an apartment and some of my scrappy stuff will be packed away and, because of the smaller/temporary situation we won't do as much in terms of decorating, etc. In contrast, Christmas 2020 will be our first Christmas in our brand new house that we're building! So needless to say, I want to do the big, craft, AE kit album in 2020 How about a "small" AKA normal spine 6x8 album for this year (Simple Stories are releasing a red stripe one that is very December appropriate)? Are you set on doing it daily? If not, you can just cherry pick the stories/days you want to document instead and still have crafty fun but reduce the amount of pages you'll do so it doesn't require too much space/stuff but you can still have more freedom than last year's mini size. Apartment life is really easy and normal to me but I can see how someone going from a big home to a small place without a garden could feel like it's overwhelming and a "lesser" life. Good luck with the temporary move!

Im trying to think positive! Edited: well hell. They comment on the instagram post that this is a 'bigger bundle of paper die cuts'. They also say no cork numbers but there will be shaped papers.

So far Ali’s kit isn’t ringing any bells for me. The jumble of die cut formats seems tired.

BUT I’m still ruminating & looking at those planner dies from Elizabeth crafts & I don’t do December daily. LOL But those dies make me want to try, even though it’s just me & the dog so December daily won’t look much different then any other month in my journal. But I want to add that tree. Just because. But it won’t fit because of where the holes are. whine.

Not sure about that colour scheme at all but I guess and wait to see more. Probably most interested in an album though must check out the Simple Stories one this year.

I think she is trying to offer various colors to match all the 3 albums she is offering.... the green linen, the red and the gold.

Fingers crossed for a great FJ kit! Im waiting for FJ too - but man, I feel like it takes forever for her to share any sneaks. I confirmed with FJ today that they aren't starting sneaks until October with a November ship date. I did (very nicely) encourage sneaks in September so it's easier to make decisions on December Daily products.

I always feel like I've spent my budget before they have put anything out for sneaks. By October, I usually know what I am doing and have placed my orders.

Are we still waiting on Crate Paper Christmas? Im kinda getting panciky that they wont have one (Im sure they will....Im just panicking!). Last year's timeline was that CP were promoting the new Maggie Holmes line during the summer. They released Willow Lane for autumn. There is a similar pattern this year with Heritage. However, that's no guarantee of a Christmas line. CP finally did the blog reveal of Merry Days on Aug. 22nd. Pros of there being a CP Christmas line: - hugely successful since Snow & Cocoa - CP in general is a thriving brand in the AC empire - CP was granted the honour of a Halloween line this year which they hadn't had for a few years (Pebbles lost their Halloween line allowance which did well - think of Spooky Boo, Midnight Haunting - but probably not well enough for AC) - no 2019 AC Christmas line with a chipboard set yet (Together for Christmas and Merry Little Christmas only have ephemera packs) Cons of there being a CP Christmas line: - no leaks whatsoever yet (whereas the line had leaked early through a Russian scrap vendor on IG last year) - CP was granted the honour of a Halloween line (swapped out for Christmas?) - I've seen a couple of questions about a Christmas line in their comments under recent-ish IG posts and radio silence on CP's behalf (could be a pro) - Pink Paislee has a Christmas line out this year (no Christmas line granted by AC last year) ( side note: holy ish, the ephemera pieces are YUGE - I like the look but can't do anything with at least half the ephemera pack on a 6x8 format) There are less lines coming from AC these days and I do worry about that. No more (or very little) AC-branded collections whereas we used to get a Halloween and Christmas line from them (Bootiful Night was one of the first scrap collections to feature holographic foil, Sweater Weather had that Snow & Cocoa but bolder look, etc.). The AC Studio Blog is promoting branded collections only at the moment (Dear Lizzy, 1Canoe2, Vicki Boutin, Damask Love, etc.). The only action we could take is to sort of inundate the CP comments on IG with questions about there being a Christmas line year. That's all that could force them to confirm or deny. If anyone's interested...

I think she is trying to offer various colors to match all the 3 albums she is offering.... the green linen, the red and the gold. Those are the three colour staples of traditional Christmas so I can't imagine why Ali would need to offer a particularly varied palette including another shade of mustard yellow or washed out camel, pink, etc. I think loads of colours is just the way it's going to be when Ali os offering loads of products for a particular project. December Daily is probably the bigggest moneymaker out of the year for her brand.

But it won’t fit because of where the holes are. whine. hop2 do you know for certain that the Elizabeth Craft dies will not fit in AE albums? I emailed them to ask and they told me they didn't know. i don’t use AE albums I have my planner in a 5.5 x8.5 journal bound by disks. The 6 holes on the side of the planner dies would mess up my binding holes. It’s the 4 3/4 page width a pea mentioned up thread that’s holding me back as it would be even smaller after I cut those holes off for my binder disk holes. I didn’t choose a Filofax personal size because it’s just a tad too narrow for my week layout that I wanted. ( although I guess I could do the A5 Filofax size but the books get expensive ) I made the daily boxes the size of a large happy planner punch so I can easily punch out my pictures to place them in. Most days it’s just me, my dog, my food, a sunrise etc those all properly fit into their assigned box for the day but some events ( weekend with family, graduation, car accident ) needed another page, half page, 1/4 page slipped in. I wouldn’t mind things like the tree page being smaller or larger than my daily pages, I’ve already done inserts wherever I need ‘more’ space to properly comment on an event. But the holes throw a wrench in the works. Like I said if the planner holes were separate from the dies I’d have probably ordered $200 or more of ‘essentials’ lol so my budget is quite happy that it’s not going to work. I’m going to probably buy the numbers but I’m considering wether the card front 1/2 tree might serve me better. She shows how to do 1/2 page here. youtu.be/tui2KdlX_jk Not that I can glue stuff on it but just for a little December pizazz? Or if I just cut the holes off that tree because I also love the truck that comes in that set? Decisions decisions lol I’m also revisiting wether I do want Filofax A5 size but I don’t think so at this time, I’m rather happy with my planner so far. My only definite change for next year is white pages I’m tired of the craft colored card stock plus it doesn’t take stamps well. Other than that I’ve been super happy with how my planner is going. I enjoy doing it each week. But I do get a teeny tiny bit jealous/ Whiny when fantastic things don’t fit my set up. 😁

Must've missed that CP IG story then. Can you post/hotlink the photo of the IG post? I'm very surprised they're revealing so late. That's a fail on AC's behalf since the collections would still need to travel internationally. Can you imagine when people outside the US would get their goods? I get they want to promote Hey Pumpkin but it's not like they need to delay Christmas goods because of this.

I just received my order from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Fast shipping, I ordered Friday! I took a picture of my purchases Here's the tree with a ruler for size comparison: (for you, hop2 and janamke) not sure if the holes will line up with any other planner or not. I hope to have fun with these. This is my first time doing a December Daily and I should probably start now if I want to have it done by Thanksgiving LOL
