Caylee Grey. I know I'm a broken record but I love her most recent DD albums. 2018 is on her IG but 2017 has a walk-through video: Love. Love. Love. Love. She is so hilarious and so real. Her album is gorgeous and she's just like, that's the way it is because I screwed up and I don't care. Thanks for sharing! Off to watch some Amy Gretchen and Picnic Basket now. I follow one on Insta and the other on Feedly so a venture into youtube we go!

I put mine in it’s own bin and made a sign for it that says “do not use, ask mom first” since kids will grab based on closeness and ease.

DD 2019 prep chez Booty, current status: collecting literary sentences to annotate some of my future December photos. Things have turned moody very quickly. "[D]istinctly I remember it was in the bleak December."

Well crap-ity, crap, crap. My new 4x6 album from Ali just broke at the rivets. I am sure they won't replace it since I have had it a month. So frustrating. I guess I will try and glue it and hope it stays.

mom, I should expect an album to last longer than a month! Seriously, we expect these to last for years!

I think I will take a photo in the am and message them. At a minimal they will know I am not happy.

I think I will take a photo in the am and message them. At a minimal they will know I am not happy. Absolutely, do. I mean, you haven't finished (or possibly STARTED) making the insides. The Brits have a phrase I like: fit for purpose. A December Daily album that breaks before or during you putting stuff in it in November is not correctly built to serve its purpose! It should hold up through DAILY use in November and December and then occasional use for many years. Will it make a difference? Maybe not. But if they're not getting complaints we can't expect them to do better.

Yeah, maybe they can stop making everything in China. Maybe they’ll have enough loss from using cheap manufactures and paying all the import tax and start making quality stuff again.

I think I will take a photo in the am and message them. At a minimal they will know I am not happy. Definitely do. Express your disappointment as well. December Daily hasn't even officially started yet and it's already falling apart, come on! I wouldn't be surprised if they replaced it for you (Inked's replacement policy is far from being the worst - or at least was until I stopped buying from them).

I guess I will try and glue it and hope it stays. Aw sh!itty! Sound like what happened to mine. I bet they will replace it, they still have that album in stock. I have WWYD question for my December Daily. As we know, December 1 will be a Sunday. This particular Sunday will entail a 5.5 hour drive back from our Thanksgiving with my parents. We will all be unshowered and lunch will likely be a stop at a gas station for coffee and assorted crappy snacks. I keep my DD pretty real and don't fuss to much about stuff on the "correct" day, but I'm struggling with what include for this first day. It will be an epic day of kids on headphones and mom taking a car nap. Makes for spectacular documenting. Any thoughts?

655 (or how ever many) miles 4 potty breaks 2 cups of coffee 4 cheeseburgers 2 naps 3 books on tape ...and then end it with ‘and a partridge in a pear tree’ I agree. Roadtrip days are excellent for using numbers and making lists. But joblackford and I need to team up here and go all Statler and Waldorf for starting out December with a 12 days of Christmas mention. Just kidding, I love ending it with the "partridge in a pear tree" mention. Sets the mood with bonus earworm. You could also overlay/annotate a photo of the view of the road from inside the car with a twist on the "home for Christmas" phrase, "home for December." I find roadtrips so fun to add to an album. They're also excellent for using the 2x2 page protectors filled with small views (snacks, magazines, different landscape views, gas station, important landmarks, etc.) to record.

http://instagram.com/p/B5IgMevgIoi Would love some suggestions. I want to include a photo of each of my 9 nieces and nephews but I’m not liking the circle (I punched and cut off the side). Thinking maybe a square instead. What do you think?

Oh, and if anyone wants a pdf of the file with the grid of 9 boxes, send your email address. The color of the blue is a bit lighter and more green than the photo. I also have the numbers saved. Punched with 1/2” punch.

Pick some pretty embellishments, or make a pocket for that day and tell the story you just wrote. Driving home is the story. Crappy snacks are the story.

My idea was to use Day 1 to just do a quick recap of the trip, not Thanksgiving specifically, but a probably a photo from the other adventures we have (most likely Friday/Saturday) and quick journaling summarizing the trip and ending with coming home to transition into the Christmas season/December. A couple of years ago I flew back from Chicago on December 1 for a work trip and did something similar where Day 1 just recapped the entire trip (which had been 3 days).

If you really want to use a rounded shape, consider sizing up and cutting the circle down on two perpendicular sides. Pie quarters fill square and rectangular shapes in a more visually pleasing manner than just a slice off one side of a circle. Personally, I'd go with a square photo.
