I’m all for banning assault style weapons and high capacity magazines, just like Hillary was/is.

There was a reported manifesto. Reason was to express outrage at Hispanic invasion of the US. Perhaps someone on a laptop can share it here. I am limited to a phone at this minute. Someone please explain how people can be more afraid to travel outside of the US, than they are to just live day to day here. He spewed hate against Mexicans, just like Trump. There is no way Trump will call this terrorism.
I'm angry. Angry that our politicians have failed us. Angry that people don't understand Trump only fuels the fire for these racist monsters. Angry that people can't live in peace. I'm angry that people were murdered because of their ethnicity. I'm sick and tired of the violence in this country. And I'm broken-hearted for the families who won't see their loved ones again.

I’m trying to wrap my head around why it is happening so much more often now? Seems like the Gilroy one was hate- filled also against anyone that wasn’t white.
I am white but that makes me sick.
Also, seems like nowadays there is a bigger divide between the haves and have Nots. I don’t think that is what is related to today but just pointing that out.
My daughter is at Disneyland today and I worry about that sort of thing although they do have metal detectors. Seems like you can’t go anywhere anymore without fearing for your life but that’s what the bad guys want.
They want you to stay home in fear but obviously that can’t happen.

Also some are afraid to look for the missing. They are putting out messages of who to contact about their families... 3 Mexican nationals died, 6 are wounded, in hospitals.
ETA: There are other people still looking for family members.... Unfortunately they may be deceased and not recovered yet.

They make you check your guns before coming in (at least at the Republican Convention, but maybe an NRA event). I know places that sell guns make you check your guns before you go in. |

I’m trying to wrap my head around why it is happening so much more often now? President Asshole is fueling their fear and their hate. As much as our economy feels okay right now, people can't afford to live on their own (not with parents or roommates). Our schools focus so much on "academics" they forget that these are people. They are children who need to be exposed to playing with each other, to working together, to people and ideas that are different than theirs. We need to teach and have them see the atrocities of the past (although it seems it is often current events). We need to show them people working together. We need to make them realize that we are all humans. I think the instant access to hate, to ideas, to probably people agreeing with the hate and egging a person on is fueling. It used to be you had to know someone or go somewhere to be surrounded by others that hate. Now it is just a click away. I don't think it is easier access to guns. I think that has been there before. It may be that the guns are better models at shooting faster. . |

I do believe that fully automatic weapons should be banned. I do think things like bump stocks and anything else that can make a gun fire like an automatic should be banned. I think high capacity clips should be very well regulated in that there must be a specific reason, you must pass a background check, and maybe even some sort of psych test to be able to legally own more than a 10 clip

I do believe that fully automatic weapons should be banned. I do think things like bump stocks and anything else that can make a gun fire like an automatic should be banned. I think high capacity clips should be very well regulated in that there must be a specific reason, you must pass a background check, and maybe even some sort of psych test to be able to legally own more than a 10 clip I truly support the spirit behind all of those restrictions.
