mom, I love the title letters on your Fish Camp page. They have such a casual fun look to them. Great page. I love what you did with the sketch.~ Your Aggie page really caught my eye because I was an Aggie too, but from Utah State. What a handsome young man! joblackford, I am enthralled with your Christmas cards. I love the tartan plaids and the cute snowflake backgrounds. Those for the 2peas exchange are really cute. I love the black and white critters on your bright backgrounds. They really pop. That elegant doily/snowflake die cut is gorgeous. Was that cut with a die? Such tiny lines and so dainty! I am amazed with what you can do with donated paper. You have an artist eye and can create beauty from any paper. You have been so busy. Thank you for sharing. craftymom101, I love that die cut background on your Mother’s Day page. You are so good at putting patterns together in the hearts. This is such a beautiful and heartfelt page. ~I love your layer on layer stamping on your card. That is simple gorgeous! dasmith2, your page, My Heart is Full is delightful. What a sweet photo. I love your mix of patterned papers. Your Homecoming layout is great. I especially love that twine flower. Did you make that yourself? Looks like a fun event. I love the blue background on your 2nd Homecoming page. The layering colors are perfect. Beautiful floral cluster on the Prom page. You have created some great pages. ~ I love your cluster on your happy place page. The mix of tags and butterflies and flowers is so eye-catching. ~ I love the mix of colors on the page about your children. The barn wood is a great touch. Great kids, great tribute to them. Linda, you know I love your Girl Scout pages. I wish my DGD lived closer so I could get more photos. Keep up the recording of those wonderful years.I enjoy seeing all the activities you do with your DD. joblackford, I love your page about Crabbing. Your story is wonderful. That’s the best thing about scrapping, getting those stories down in black and white (or color). I love the simplicity and classic look of this page.~ I love the way you used the Red Cedar photo as a background for the close up photo. What an interesting site. Made me wish I lived close enough to see it. ~I love the journaling on your mountain climbing page. I think you were brave to make it that far. Beautiful photo and engaging story. Thanks for sharing. ~ I love the design of your grid page. Great shots of the climb. I really like the idea of only Creaky Knee hikes! LOL, for me that’s a walk up my stairs! ~More wonderful cards. I love your Halloween backgrounds and the Keep Smiling card makes me smile. You have had a busy scrappy month.

I finished off this page. IACB elements on both pages. The one on the right original said pure joy, but beet juice is not joyful and my name is Jo and I love fuchsia, so... shrug. I used my nephew's school colors, eyedroppered from the school's seal I found online, for the left side. I split the "back to school" element into three parts because it didn't work the way it was originally.

I got another pair of pages done with August photos. Choosing which dahlias to include on this page was almost as difficult as choosing which ones I might want to grow. I might end up adding an extra page about each of these locations in my book later, but for now I'm trying to keep it simple so I can get caught up.. edit 35 dahlia Oregon city by jo.blackford, on Flickr

That elegant doily/snowflake die cut is gorgeous. Was that cut with a die? Such tiny lines and so dainty! Thank you for all your kind words and detailed comments Yes, the snowflake is cut with a die. It was one of those ones I *had* to have and then found quite tricky to use. It has so many little bits to weed out, and it's pretty busy on some backgrounds. But I kept a stack of them from last year and feel like they found a good home here. They cardstock was just slightly shimmery, another inherited supply. I'm trying to make the best use of my MIL's things and it's sometimes interesting using things I wouldn't have chosen to buy. Shimmery opalescent cardstock especially! And yes, Jalen is a cutie, isn't he? He's a nice boy too. My SIL and BIL did good.

I've had NO time to come and check out all of the lovely layouts, I've skimmed a couple of pages throughout the month, and am always amazed at how many different styles of scrappers, number of pages, and creativity that we have!
I am finally sharing my Back to School for 2019 layout
and the layout I did for Stick It Down my JFF challenge DT I am part of . . .
I took up Stand Up Paddleboarding this summer and love it! I think I will do a small album about my SUP adventures!

I’ve made a few cards this month. Sorry the images are so large. My first rocker card: Sorry it’s so big. I revised the box card that I made last October and redid it with more muted colors, then turned it into a print and cut file: This is a card I made based on one I saw on Pinterest: Finally, 3 box cards that I made last week for family birthdays:

I finished one more this month. This is for Sketch #17. Today joblackford , I love your flowers page. Such beautiful blooms. Do you have a lot of room for flowers? BTW, you look cute in your gardening hat!! It would be fun to drive to see the flowers before ordering plants and bulbs for next year.~ Your photos of Oregon scenery are wonderful. Everything is so green. I guess that's because of the amount of rain you receive. I love the simplicity of the page, letting the photos speak for themselves. scrapnnana , I love your cards. I especially love box cards. There is so much that you can do with them. How cool that you made your own print and cut files. I wouldn't have any idea of how to do that. The layered Fall cards are pretty. I like the dimension they give. Cute rocker card. I haven't tried one of those, but you are inspiring me. I love the last 3 box cards. That Zoopendous one is something my grandson would love, love, love. Thanks for sharing. angel97701 , I'm heading for the gallery to leave love on your latest pages. They are wonderful.

I guess that's because of the amount of rain you receive. I love the simplicity of the page, letting the photos speak for themselves. Thank you. And thank you for the hat love! I wear it all summer long, every day, because I walk a lot and don't like/remember to wear sunglasses or sunscreen. Yes, we do get a lot of rain, and a lot of green. I left a lot of the story off these pages which is making me think I should add a couple more companion pages. The festival is free and totally worth driving for 3 or 4 hours each way. It was an amazing photo op and a lovely day trip. Our 3rd flower-focused day trip of the year! (I'll have to make a page about that) Just too many gorgeous varieties though. I couldn't choose last year so I got a bundle of 5 bigger ones selected by the grower. We live in a bungalow on a small city lot - neighbors are about 10 feet away on both sides, so no, I don't have a lot of space for plants. But I pack them in as much as I can! My gardens are the opposite of my scrapping style. I have trouble gardening because I forget to leave pathways. The last remaining bit of lawn takes less than 5 minutes to mow with an old fashioned human powered push mower, and I'm tempted to plant over it with flowers and food plants like I've done with the rest of the property. I've taken over the whole front yard, and one of the neighbor's front yards too... I want to win the Lotto and buy the house next door so I can demolish it and make it a garden! Then I can buy some more dahlias.

joblackford, thank you for the "rest of the story". My husband wants no room for flowers because they take more work than grass and since he has grown grass for a living all his life, we have lots of it. He's a Golf Course Superintendent. I'd love to see photos of all your yard. I think you should add an extra page for explanations and show us your beautiful blooms.

Maybe I should do a page about that too. At the very least I'll tag you if I share any garden photos. We've been living here for 15 years now so it would be a good time for a before and after page.
