He went to work and was blindsided. We are in shock and feeling very anxious this evening. He has a specific type of experience and we moved to the Cincinnati area 4 years ago for his position. Now, we wonder if he will find another position in the area with the same pay, or are we going to be moving out of state.
My thoughts are spinning!

Update 11/5
It’s been 24 hours with many conversations. He has an extensive network he has built throughout his career and has been speaking with a recruiter as well. Right now he is updating his resume and will upload back onto LinkedIn when completed.
He was able to get his Physical Therapy and follow up doctor appointments scheduled out before we lose our good insurance. His knee is healing almost on target, and at least now it may heal better since he isn’t going to be working right now. He went back to work on it 6 days following surgery. 🙄
I have found a nurse practitioner someone recommended to me and I have an appointment on Friday. I hope to get the needed prescriptions and have 3 months worth shipped and put on current insurance! I doubt they will give me 3 months of Ambien, however. I have hope, at least!
We cancelled our vacation we had scheduled in 31 days. I shed a few tears over that. So close...

*Too, can I please be removed from the Christmas card list? I suppose I should pose that question on the other thread.

Check into cashing out pto, that money is his, don’t leave it behind. How long will the company carry his insurance, or will they help cover cobra. Breathe. |
