Usually in the early evening. But I'm also an incurable insomniac so on Friday and Saturday nights I stay awake all night and scrapbook.

Unfortunately, my weekend is pretty booked up between graduation parties and Father's Day. But, tonight is Friday, which means it's my night to stay up all night and scrapbook so hopefully I'll get quite a bit done. I just started an album of my Florida trip from last February, so I have a lot to do. Happy weekend and crafting everyone!!!

I actually had a fabulous scrappy Mothers Day weekend. My husband, daughter and boyfriend and I went on a little getaway. While the men fished, my DD and I went to 3 amazing scrapbook stores in the area!! To top it off, hubby told me to "buy a few things" for my Mothers Day gift!! . My DD brought her brand new puppy with so I also have about a million new photos to scrapbook.

You ladies got me thinking about my scrapbooking to do list! I'd like to -get more caught up in my DD album, I'm currently at the end of 2013 - do a childhood album of my husband's photos - make a meditation journal for myself - stay current on printing my photos (I've gotten much better at this) - make an album of last year's trip to Florida -start an album of nature pictures I've taken
Wow! I guess I'll be busy!!!

Thanks for reminding me - I need some too ^^^ fyi, in a pinch when I need a piece of white paper (for a SB page, where you won't see the other side) I use the backside of ugly patterned paper from a stack... you know, the patterns you can't figure out why they ever put it into the stack, and you KNOW you won't ever use?? I figure I might as well use it for something, so I use the reverse when I need a piece of white. I will also use that paper for practicing Silhouette cuts, to protect my table when I'm gluing or painting, etc. I do the same thing!!!

I have been in my scrapbook room most of the day so far but unfortunately no creating just some much needed organizing. I'll have to quit soon though as we are going to meet our DD and her boyfriend for dinner and they live a hour away.

It was definately some Heidi Swapp wood veneers and a Cricut cartridge that I bought at Joann's the other night. Although in my defense, the cartridge was one my daughter has been dying for me to get(so she can use ) and she was with and of course I couldn't say no because I am thrilled that she has finally started Scrapbooking.

Although I don't use my Cricut on every page or card I make, I do use it on most of them. It's hard for me to justify spending money on Thickers and embellishments when I could so easily make them. That doesn't stop me from still buying a lot though.

I struggle with finding purple also. My DD has lupus and purple is the color for lupus awareness so I do quite a few purple pages for her lupus walks and fund raising events. I do wish it was easier finding purple paper and purple embellishments.

I've been to Dragonfly Dreams in Lake City, MN a few times. I liked it but haven't gone in quite a while. It's nice but a little on the expensive side since it only sleeps 8. Dragonfly Dreams Retreat It's a huge quaint old house that has been converted into a retreat place not too far from the Cities. There are four sleeping rooms each with two twin beds and I think three bathrooms (two have showers, one has a shower and separate whirlpool tub). The cropping area is made up of two rooms on the main floor that have one of those big doorways between (think old house that had a formal parlor and adjacent formal dining room with the wide archway/doorway between). The tables are big and nice, lighting is good, ergonomic rolling chairs. There is a full kitchen to prepare meals and a grocery store within walking distance, but also several restaurants around within walking distance too if you didn't want to cook. There's a big dining room so you have a nice place other than your table to eat at. The off street parking is decent, but not really big enough if all eight people drive separately. The basement is finished off and has a big tv, couches, etc. for those times when someone needs a break. There is also a retreat place in Pine City, MN attached to the scrapbook store there that has 12 rooms with 2 twin beds in each that circle the cropping space. It's separate from the store but the store is easily accessible through a doorway when it's open. I haven't ever stayed there personally but I have checked it out when I was in the area and it looks pretty nice. Scrapping in the Pines Retreat I don't think it has a full kitchen but the crop room is nice and the sleeping rooms are cute. [ I've been to Dragonfly Dreams in Lake City also. Been it's been quite awhile ago. I've thought of trying the one in Pine City.

I do this every year and I love it. I like the house we use in Wisconsin because the crafting space is in the lower level walkout and they let us drive around to it. That way there is no lugging our paper down the stairs. Paper is heavy! Bring ear plugs for sleeping Where in Wisconsin is the house you rent located. I'm always looking for new scrapbooking locations.

Last week, I got a new Big Shot to replace the one that broke about six months ago. That's about it, but I'm going to a four day retreat this weekend so I've been saving my money to spend there.

My all time favorite was the Making Memories one that is unfortunately no longer available. Since that one broke, I did get the fiskars procision one and really like it!! I find it cuts very straight and through pretty much everything.

Happy update!! Just heard from eBay and PayPal that I got a full refund!! YAY! Oh and the seller said I don't have to return the paper trimmer, that I could just keep it. Gee thanks. Lol.

That is so disappointing! Ugh! I recently found the bag I have been wanting for many years, and when it arrived it reeked of cigarette smoke. I really think they should put that in the description. As for your trimmer, who would sell that? It should have gone in the trash! Hope you paid with paypal - they will make sure you are made whole. I did use PayPal thank goodness!! I guess I'm just really naive but I can't believe someone would try to sell an item in that shape.. I'll think twice before buying used on ebay again. My husband will be glad to hear that!!

Can you send a picture to the seller and to Ebay and see if you can get your money back? Yeah I just sent a pic of it and started the return process so we'll see... I have my fingers crossed
