The closest LSS to me is about an hour and 15 minutes away so I only make it there about 3 times a year. Ironically, where we have our cabin, which is 2 hours away, there are 2 wonderful LSS!! I am able to visit those whenever we go to the cabin., which is about 5-6 times per year. My DH thinks the only reason I go to the cabin with him is to shop for scrapbook supplies! He's pretty much right!!!

Now that my Christmas cards are done (YAY!!), I am able to devote all my scrappy time to the fishing album I'm making for my DH for Christmas. Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card today also for a close family friend whose husband passed away unexpectedly Thursday.

My DD, husband and I ate out at a restaurant yesterday but instead of celebrating with a Thanksgiving dinner, we had a big breakfast. It was a necessity because DD and her significant other both had to work double shifts yesterday. It was actually one of our nicest thanksgiving meals!! Perhaps a new tradition!!!

Tonight I actually scrapbooked for the first time in over 4 months!!! After having all my stuffed packed up and then moving, I spent the last month setting up my new scrapbook room and then did my Christmas cards. So tonight, I finally got back to my photos! I started an album of my DH's fishing trips. Once I got back in the groove, it felt wonderful!! Because of my extensive purge, I didn't know what I had kept. I do realize that I do need to build up my stash. I see a shopping trip in the very near future!!

I'm also writing the envelopes out by hand. That alone is a big job! But I like really knowing the name and location of where each card is going, and I like the personal touch. Me too!!! |

Since my scrapbook room is pretty much all organized (finally), I definitely need to accomplish some projects. I need to:
-Finish Xmas cards for personal and swap
-make 4 birthday cards
-start a fishing album for my husband (that may or may not be a Xmas gift)
-get my DD prepped and ready to go
-print photos for second half of 2017
-maybe actually make a scrapbook page or two for family album

Very cool  At $200, it's not in my budget. But you just know they're going to sell a ton of those to Christmas shoppers! FYI to low budget scrappers like me ... Jen Hadfield Polaroid dies are on sale at Peachy Cheap today, and I bought one, so I can at least try to get the Instax look (minus the price, but also minus convenience and novelty). It was $6.99, and with shipping it was still under $12. Thank you for the Peachy Cheap enabling!! It's very ironic that I just got my new Big Shot today!!! I couldn't resist!! |

Thanks for letting us know. I was on the fence last year about doing it and decided not to and totally regretted not doing it so this year I'm definitely in!! It's such a wonderful project!! Both my husband and daughter work in nursing homes. My husband in maintenance and my daughter as a nurse and they both think it's a fabulous project also!!

I got her kits for a few years!! They were awesome and she is so sweet and professional!! The only reason I quit was because I needed to use up some of the stash from her. I've been very tempted to resub from her again. You may have given me the push I needed. Thank you (I think!!). Lol

Every year I do a vacation album and a December Daily album. For my daughter I've done separate school, dance, prom and professional photos albums. I also did an album of my husband and I and a childhood album for him. Someday, I plan on making one of my childhood.

We finally got all moved into our new place last weekend and pretty much finished unpacking. I'm off of work for the rest of week so now I'm going to work on getting my new scrapbook room set up!! So thankful that I have one and it's actually a little bigger than my old one!

I had posted about a month ago that we were moving to a much smaller condo and needed to down-size big time! I was excited to move there but very sad about losing my scrapbook room. I actually gave a ton of my supplies away to my sister-in-law and thought I'd have to give up scrapbooking. Well a much larger condo came available and we are moving into that one instead! The biggest benefit is my new huge scrap room!!! Actually bigger than the one I have now. Also, my sweet sister-in-law gave me all my stuff back. I've never been more relieved!!! I knew you all would understand!!
