That was at the begining when there was no idea if there would be other planes out. Too bad your president decided to make a bad deal/commitment with the Taliban. And yes he was dealing with the Taliban so much so he wanted them to come to our soil and be at Camp David, which is an extremely security equipped facility that they should have never been considered as guests. Biden was able to get the extension to August, pass former's agreed to date, which helped. You need to remember that no SIVs were processed for most of the year before, not was the paper work even gathered. You need to remember that he removed the majority of troops before the people. In reference to the kindergarteners I mentioned, even they know, during a fire you don't get most of the teachers out and THEN get the kids to safety. And if Joe didn't instinctively know that on his own, he had generals and experts TELLING him not to do that. And yet he did it anyway.

Someone sure has their knickers in a knot here. I've never seen so many tweets strung together as I have in this thread and on this topic. It's taken a few days, but the spin is picking up!
This is the real Russia collusion. The state run media, the DNC, hillary, etc. worked overtime on this one and they did a great job to bullshit, bamboozle, and lie to their followers.
Next up will be the left wingers' name calling, it's to be expected. However, Durham doesn't seem to be on hillary's/DNC payroll. Durham doesn't seem to be going away. Durham is just quietly moving along. It's the lefties that are making the noise, lol.
And Jake Sullivan? He shouldn't be trusted to provide national security to goldfish let alone the American people.
I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the show.
Still waiting for you to enlighten us with specific details on how President Biden as you put it “fucked things up”. Will you be letting us know anytime soon? How about mismanaging the withdrawal from Afghanistan so HORRIFICALLY, that you had people in such terror and desperation that they were willing to hang on the outside of a plane taking off in order to attempt to escape the CATISTROPHIC situation Biden created. Ignoring his generals and experts telling him not to do it this way, but of course he knew better than their experience and expertise. As I've said before, a kindergartener could have told you that it was a stupid way to do it.

You really don't realize that the reason she calls them illegal is also because of their actions? Doesn't make it right, but neither does your justification for dehumanizing anyone personally on here. You really don't realize justification for dehumanizing someone doesn't make it okay? It appears you really are that dense. Not surprised. You condemn dehumanizing people in one post, defend it in another, then call others stupid and dense.

No, immigrants and refugees are eligible for vaccines after they've been granted admittance or refugee status. You don't need a green card to get a vaccine, as we've said multiple times in this thread. You're still suggesting immigrants and refugees should be singled out for a vaccine mandate? That's what I'm saying... you don't NEED a green card to get vaccinated, but they are not MANDATED to get vaccinated until they get one and they are not eligible to get the green card for a whole year. So there's a whole year of them possibly moving around the country unvaccinated. THAT'S what I'm saying. No, I'm not suggesting immigrants and refugees should be singled out for a vaccine mandate. What i AM saying is the mandates are what YOU believe in and yet, you DON'T have a problem with possibly millions of people wandering around possibly infecting everyone - IF they've come here illegally. Why is that?

I don’t think twitter has anything to do with it, I don’t think they’re even owned by the same people. My instagram keeps showing old posts on my own page, like one from six months ago as the most recent. I think they want us to watch stories (I hate them. My main feed is ok-ish, although I get loads of posts from people I don’t follow, saying “oh you might be interested in this”. No. I am not. I already follow 700 people, go AWAY. If there was another photo sharing app I would move, but video is the thing right now. Oh geeze, you're right. I conflated the two.

I don't have an Instagram account, but for years I have been able to go to public accounts to read. In the last few weeks when I go to an account it now pops up with a prompt to join Twitter to continue. But when you try to join, it gets as far as sending confirmation and then always an error when you continue the sign in. Not the same as your issue, but I do think something is going on, on Twitter's end.

dumpster don did have a plan but it was viewed as flawed and Kamala Harris was correct when she said there was no national strategy or plan for vaccinations. This is what I was addressing. The idea that he "had no plan WHATSOEVER to get vaccines into arms. None. Zero. Zilch." That is flat out false and I don't need to restate that in any way. Also no, kamala was NOT correct in saying there was NO national strategy. It may have been flawed, but it DID exist. And the flaws may have been worked out in time -as the Biden administration has had the ability of time to do. Moncef Slaoui, the head of the vaccine development partnership said "In fact 90% of what’s happening now is the plan that we had."

You really don't realize that the reason she calls them illegal is also because of their actions? Doesn't make it right, but neither does your justification for dehumanizing anyone personally on here. You really don't realize justification for dehumanizing someone doesn't make it okay? Regardless of their legal status or actions, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Referring to immigrants and migrants strictly by their legal status - that word alone - is not OK. The phrase "shipping them" like they're cargo is also unacceptable. The phrase "China virus" is also unacceptable. eta - My apologies. I thought she used the word alien but it was in a letter to President Biden from Elise Stefanik. Regardless of differing opinion the people here on this board ALSO deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. But you have no problem calling them trolls and sealions and bullying them. All efforts to dehumanize someone simply because you don't agree with them, or like the facts they bring to the board. You are selective with your outrage and only selectively treating deserving people with the dignity and respect you demand from and for others. At the point where she called people, real live actual PEOPLE, with hopes and dreams for a better life "illegals" is when my skin began to seriously crawl. I cannot, no matter how hard I try, understand why people do that. To me if just proves how low some will go to "score points" and is disgusting and shameful. And yet it didn't bother you in the least any time someone is attempting to run someone else off the board for no HONEST reason other than they have a different opinion. The lying liars who lie are blocked for me, even when quoted. They are not responding in good faith and don’t contribute anywhere else on this board, so why bother trying to get them to change their mind? Speaking of lying liars who lie... 1. I DO contribute elsewhere on this board. 2. Even IF i didn't, who cares when you only object to that idea from people you disagree with. There are people on "your side" that absolutely do not contribute anywhere but politics and I don't see you complaining about them. So your argument there is not even close to a "good faith" argument. I don’t mean to sound sanctimonious, Try harder then.

What's so astounding here, is you lack even an ounce of self awareness when you complain about someone "dehumanizing" anyone -in the same post where you repeatedly dehumanize others. Just as you have in other posts. You really don’t know the difference between treating someone based on their actions here and dehumanizing someone just because they exist and came here seeking a better life? You really don't realize that the reason she calls them illegal is also because of their actions? I absolutely don't want to talk to anyone that doesn't want to hear from me.

Okay, let's pretend to go with it, the green card applicant that can't apply until they've been here a year. How does that help you who are so afraid of the un-vaxxed if they don't have to get vaxxed until they apply for a green card, but can't apply until a year after being here. You're so afraid of the un-unvaxxed, but you don't mind them being here for a year without having to get the shot and spreading covid everywhere? It is a pandemic of the unvaccinated, after all. If you are looking for someone to comment on the “potentially” Covid infected foreigners sitting at our borders ( which I am assuming you are referring to the trucker PROTEST), may I direct your attention to the over ONE MILLION illegals (thousands that are most likely Covid infected) pouring over our southern border and being shipped all over the country in droves. Yep, I’m pretty pissed about that!!! So there you go. How many times do you need to be told immigrants and migrants are NOT spreading covid? People coming here legally have to be vaccinated. And the rates of covid are the same or higher in border states compared to migrants. I know for a fact that peas have provided links to articles and evidence that immigrants and migrants are not spreading covid. Despite that, you keep repeating false information. More importantly, you ignored the racist part. Unvaccinated white truckers (who are more likely to spread covid) on the border are OK, let them come in. But, Hispanics fleeing violence and poverty are not welcome eta - I changed my post to make it more clear. I refuse to use your words to dehumanize people. Cindosha was talking about people coming through the border ILlegally. YOU changed that to people coming here legally. YOU changed the discussion from "apples to oranges" and THEN labeled any response to you as a "false premise". Do you have a REAL reason for doing that? YOU are creating the long drawn out idiocy on these posts when YOU continue to do stuff like that. YOU are one not having "a discussion in good faith". If you hate that so much, STOP doing it.

For pixiechick - not a strawman argument. All along I said anyone applying to immigrate. I might not have used the words green card applicants, but both descriptions refer to the same group of people. Again, you're the one with a false premise by posting a link to a detention center that holds an entirely different group of people. Okay, let's pretend to go with it, the green card applicant that can't apply until they've been here a year. How does that help those of you who are so afraid of the un-vaxxed if they don't have to get vaxxed until they apply for a green card, but can't apply until a year after being here. I stand by my statement. Green card applicants are required to have the covid vaccine. My understanding of detention facilities is that they are for people waiting for their requests to be admitted or for asylum to be heard. If you are admitted or granted asylum, you can apply for a green card after being here for a year. Therefore, it seems unlikely that anyone in a detention facility is applying for a green card. There is certainly room for improvement in vaccinations at detention centers. Detainees should be able to ask health care professionals questions about the vaccine in their native language. Are you advocating all detainees should be vaccinated? Just like cindosha, I'd like to see you argue against mandates and argue for requiring all migrants and refugees to be vaccinated at the same time. THIS is the first place in the thread green cards got brought up. YOU introduced green cards here first. IN RESPONSE TO ME, for the record. So this statement from you is false. Absolute strawman argument on your part. My post was about green card applicants and you responded with a video of detention facilities. Apples and oranges. Not the same thing. False premise. >>> You'll see here the order and context. No response from me with a video in response to your green card gaslighting.

My post was about green card applicants and you responded with a video of detention facilities. Apples and oranges. Not the same thing. False premise. The false premise is yours, you are the only one suddenly talking about green cards. A strawman argument. It has not a damn thing to do with this conversation. I refuse to watch Fox News. So again you're having a conversation all by your lonesome and only arguing with yourself. What a waste of time, but whatever entertains you, I guess. Carry on by yourself.

Post by pixiechick on Feb 16, 2022 1:03:57 GMT
The article you linked in response about detention facilities was based on a false premise and misleading. What specifically is the false premise- and what specifically is misleading about it? President Biden and the administration are not secretly spreading anyone anywhere. If they weren't being secretive about it, you would think they'd do it in daytime hours and not the middle of the night, with Psaki arguing whether 3am is the middle of the night or early morning. As if that is the issue. If it wasn't secretive, they'd fly them to wherever they're going during hours when most of the country isn't sleeping and can't see what they're doing. President Biden is not trying to mandate the entire country get vaccinated. The administration through OSHA wanted to mandate that anyone who works for a company of over 100 employees has to get vaccinated. Migrants and immigrants working for companies over 100 people would be covered under that. They're illegal immigrants, they do not have jobs when they come here illegally. Are you suggesting there should be a separate mandate just for unauthorized immigrants and refugees? And how exactly would the Biden administration enforce that? The same way they want to enforce it on legal citizens and those entering legally from the northern border.

It's not a debate. The verifiable FACTS: LINK from USA Today "In May 2018, former national security adviser John Bolton restructured Trump's National Security Council and disbanded the global health unit. Its former head, Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer, resigned from the administration and was not replaced. Tim Morrison, a former senior director for counterproliferation and biodefense on the NSC, wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post that he "inherited a strong and skilled staff in the counterproliferation and biodefense directorate" when he joined in July 2018. "This team of national experts together drafted the National Biodefense Strategy of 2018 and an accompanying national security presidential memorandum to implement it; an executive order to modernize influenza vaccines; and coordinated the United States’ response to the Ebola epidemic in Congo, which was ultimately defeated in 2020," he wrote. He also said that the reorganization of the NSC was necessary after the "bloat that occurred" under Obama, when the staff quadrupled to nearly 400 – a figure that even members of the Obama administration agreed was too large." Your timeline writer was outright deceptive with his claim. "May 2018 The Trump Administration disbands the White House pandemic response team." It wasn't even misinformation, it was outright DISinformation. Meant to deceive. He wanted people to think there was no one left to handle a pandemic. No need to google item by item. If the very first item is so intentionally deceptive, no need waste time assuming any credibility to the rest of his timeline. Putting FACTS in all caps doesn't make them that. And you have no way of knowing what the writer "meant" to do or "wanted people to think," unless you're now claiming to be psychic. Putting FACTS in all caps doesn't make them that. Of course not. The fact that they ARE facts and verifiable, makes them facts. And you have no way of knowing what the writer "meant" to do or "wanted people to think," unless you're now claiming to be psychic. True, I don't like to mind read. Although, thinking critically, I'm assuming he researched the facts for the timeline before he wrote it. If he researched about the pandemic response team, then he knows the other facts about it and chose to write that entry in such a way that didn't even hint at the nuances of that entry. So I AM guessing that he did not want people to think anything but- there was no one left to handle a pandemic, for that entry, or he would have at least alluded to it.

The very first line in that time line, May 2018... Can you say what the issue is with that? Yeah, yeah, I'm aware of the debate regarding how he handled this. Calling it a "reorganization" per Reuters doesn't change my point. If you want to spend your afternoon Googling for ways to defend the indefensible, item by item, have at it. But, doesn't your Prezident Putin need you to be spending your time helping him back away from his Ukraine mess? RME It's not a debate. You don’t find it odd that another country has donated huge sums of money to a protest in Canada? What that tells me is that it’s political, and not just about mandates in the US. They have found a new rallying cry. Conservatives have replaced “Lock her up!” with “Honk honk!” What that tells me is that it’s political, and not just about mandates in the US. It was political when any gathering the Right had "was a superspreader event" and any gathering the Left had "was necessary" and "studies" were conducted that miraculously showed none of the Left "superspreader events" were dangerous. It was political the dozens and dozens and dozens of times a politician told us we MUST wear masks and socially distance and then got caught not doing so themselves and came up with the most asinine reasons why it was okay for them not to follow the science, but you still must do so.

The sitting leader of a country should sit down with people who have already stated that their motive is to overthrow the government so that, at some point in the future, they don’t possibly block a bridge? And say what, exactly? “Sure. I, a person who gets a single vote in parliament, will single-handedly dictate to the premieres, leaders of an opposing party, what mandates they will impose in their own provinces”? Or maybe, “We will reinstate the moratorium on the requirement for long-haul truckers to be vaccinated on their return from a country (over whom we also have no control) that won’t actually allow them in without being vaccinated”? The sitting leader of a country should sit down with people who have already stated that their motive is to overthrow the government so that, at some point in the future, they don’t possibly block a bridge? Not "sometime in the future". We were talking about the current situation. And I was responding to the idea that milocat put forth "He hasn't even met with you or barely addressed any if this." And the only problem you had with it was... "And that will never happen. Can you imagine the optics of our PM meeting with the leaders of this protest, all of whom are known white supremists?" That's what I was responding to. I have no response to your new parameters. How much longer are you going to keep pretending you don't understand the written word and know how to follow the conversation. And that's not a dig, that's an honest question, because it seems like you're just chasing your tail. You are NOT as dumb as you're pretending to be.

Read what you quoted. I bolded it for you. No, I'm not talking about them as if they're two different things. I was clarifying my actual words. You 'introduced them into the conversation' as soon as you said the PM wasn't doing his job. Those are parameters of that job. Your words: If you aren't talking about them as two different things then how is 'before they made that [blocking the car plants] happen' different from 'before they took over the bridge'? No, it was already introduced into the conversation by milocat when she said "He hasn't even met with you or barely addressed any if this." She's from Canada so I figured she knew what she was talking about. And I wasn't differentiating between the bridge and the car plant. It was about your use of the word "before" and your claim about it.
