RosieKat!! My son has a teeny Yoda figurine and one of his cats constantly knocks it off whatever surface it is on. He moves Yoda around his house just to watch the cat find it and knock it to the floor. Earlier today he sent me a video of the cat doing just that and in a rash moment I said I would have to crochet her one to play with - yours was clearly on my mind. He said he would hold me to that and within a few moments had sent me links to Yoda patterns. sigh. I've told him she is not getting it for Christmas. That's a good prize wellway. Have you entered?

gillyp no, I've not entered. I have already purchased a kit and I think that will be enough to getting on with considering I have a number of wips too! I've set myself the task of getting my Dune Blanket done before the kaleidoscope cal starts on the 3rd of Jan. It's over three quarters done at the moment so doable if I get focused.

Thanks for that. I’ve sent the link to my daughter. She’s a student so she doesn’t have much money to buy yarn. She’s always entering online giveaways:)

I've narrowed down my sacred space colors. I've got two color schemes I'm deciding between. Anyone want to weigh in?

I think either would look lovely jeremysgirl. Is it for yourself? Where would you have it? Maybe that would help? My personal preference is the top one as I like the soft shades but the brown and bottle green of the bottom one would give a contrast and pop a bit.

That is fantastic PLurker! I just love it. I'm so sad they weren't there so you could see their reactions.

Fabric sale at one of my favourite places to spend money. Something to look forward to using after the holidays maybe. I am getting one of their subscription box gifts from DS even though he thinks it is a strange present. here is the link to sale page. www.mysewingbox.co.uk/collections/sale-cheap-fabric

Banged out a few last minute gifts this week. My mom saw the memory lanterns I did for my cousins and literally got teary eyed and said "I want one!", so I had to run back to Hobby lobby this afternoon. I also did a basket of 24 fire starters (pinecones dipped in old leftover wax, set into muffin papers filled with laundry lint and shredder paper, then decorated with dried oranges, rosemary sprigs and epsom salt). Now I'm off to sew some duster covers for a friend.

We celebrated Christmas last night. My sister sent me this pic this morning. Somebody slept with my special blanket and walked all around the house this morning wrapped in it. You guys who gift crafts I'm sure know how happy this makes me.

At last! They are done! This time last year I was rabbiting on about 3 unicorn blankets I hoped to have ready for Christmas. I gave up as they were starting to irritate me. I finished one for a birthday in March and I was determined to get the other two finished for this Christmas. I can breathe now as they are going to go in Christmas Eve boxes tomorrow. It wasn’t the blankets that caused all the trouble but the features. It was such a phaff sewing them on.

schizo319 the firestarters are an adorable craft. Do they smell good too when burned? **GypsyGirl** all your quilts are so pretty, I cannot pick a favorite! The top one with the occasional red stripe provides such nice contrast. The blue and gold one looks like it would have been difficult to cut and line up correctly to sew. That looks to my untrained eye like the most difficult. And the bottom one with the scenes is so quaint and cozy looking.

The blanket projects are all so nice.
There’s a crocheted Christmas tree in my neighborhood with gifts under it. It’s at one of the busiest corners in my hood. I’ll try to park somewhere and get a picture. We also have a yarn bomber. They make telephone pole decorations. I think people order them. I’m not quite clear on it. One is a toy soldier. All on the busiest street. Apparently the city will take them down.

schizo319 the firestarters are an adorable craft. Do they smell good too when burned? Not so much when burned because they burn up FAST and any scent would probably be sucked up the flue, but the basket smells really nice just sitting in the room and MY house smelled amazing while I was making them (even though I used wax from like 5 different scented candles whose scents didn't match at all).

The eyes, especially, look machine-made - they are so perfect. Wow.

LOVE the butterfly shawl (?) it would be a beautiful blanket done in variegated yarns. jeremysgirl The color scheme of the yarns you posted that I like are the first ones- the one with Storm Blue. PLurker The "containment" is going to be AWESOME when discovered! Don't you wish you could have a camera there to capture it???

It's the best to have something you made so well received.
