That shawl is gorgeous and your yarn choice is perfect for it. I can't wait to see it.
I have a few rows left on my Buccaneer shawl, I think I can finish it today. I'm undecided what to cast on next.
Merry Christmas lovely crafty Peas

Santa brought me some Wool Warehouse vouchers and this book. I have loads of embroidery thread but what kind of fabric should I get? I have some Moda cotton left over from a quilt project, would that be ok or do I need something else?

Totally forgot to mention my friend asked me to make some things for her rats, I ended up doing three snuggle sacks, a play tunnel and a hammock! Lots of fun to make.
I also made some reusable kitchen towels out of fabric and some old towels.

Those of you interested in hand embroidery might want to consider this free online course starting Jan. 1. The course teaches 12 basic stitches. There is also a Facebook group where you can ask questions and share your work. Once you sign up for the free class, you will have lifetime access to it through the Teachables website. Last Jan. I signed up, but got sidetracked rather quickly. I am still able to access the class though. It's worth signing up now even if you think it will be later in the year before you get around to doing it. Free signup is available until Jan. 5. Beginning Hand Embroidery Class

Merry Christmas my friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful day with their families. elaine how did your day turn out? We got back from a wonderful trip 11 day trip to Florida this past Saturday. It was an incredible trip, but I only got one square done the whole time I was gone lol But happy to say that all squares for my CAL are done. Starting to weave in the ends tonight. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to start joining. jeremysgirl Yours looks amazing! How exciting it must be to have it done Did anyone get any fun crafy items? I got a travel yarn/project bag (yay), a beautiful blocking board, and a yarn ball winder. All things I asked for LOL But so glad people were listening

tyra I'm so glad you had a nice trip and a good Christmas. All my gifts were well received this holiday. And for that I am grateful. I ended up with that bag I posted above. I just love it. It's so pretty. I cannot wait until craft night to take it out. And my DD gave me a Scheepjes whirl in strawberries and scream. So I need to figure out a pattern for that.

ETA: I think Tyra made the better choice yarn wise. I think her blanket will be a lot more functional than ours. I hope that it is usable and fuctional for us. Between DH, the 2yr old, and the dog, I will be disappointed if it doesn't hold up. Here he is!!! OMG He is adorable!!!!! Ok so I have had a Namaste crochet bag for like 15 years and it has seen better days. I've been looking for the perfect replacement. Jimmy Beans put out these the other day and I think I'm sold. Jeremy said he hasn't bought me a Christmas gift yet so I'm debating ordering it and having him put it under the tree. Now I just have to decide whether I want red or purple. That bag is amazing! What color did you order? What a great Christmas gift (Sorry, apparently I missed page 5 while catching up lol) Your butterfly shawl is beautiful also!

Now that Christmas is over I can finally post what I’ve been working on for the past couple of months. First up is an ornament I stitched for my annual yankee ornament swap I host for my girlfriends.
Then I stitched an ornament for my Grandma who loves cardinals. When she came to visit recently she was in love with all of my stitching so I knew she would appreciate her own. ❤️ And I was working on a quilt for my boyfriend’s sister for Christmas. I tried my hardest to get it done but I wasn't happy with my machine quilting and I didn’t have time to run to the longarm so I had to give her a picture with the caveat that it’s coming soon. She was very excited and I’m going to attempt hand quilting for the first time. The quilt top is nine of these tree blocks.
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday.

Love seeing everyone's projects!
I haven't been around on the craft threads for a few months due to some major work projects and therefore, no time for crafting. However, I hope to get back to my humongous granny square afghan next month and start making progress so hopefully I'll be on next month's thread.
The talent here is always so amazing.

We celebrated Christmas last night. My sister sent me this pic this morning. Somebody slept with my special blanket and walked all around the house this morning wrapped in it. You guys who gift crafts I'm sure know how happy this makes me. I'm guessing that is your sisters kid, do your own kids look this much like you? It's the best to have something you made so well received. As I was scrolling down her post I thought it WAS her at first. The blanket is beautiful, and I'm so glad it was loved, jeremysgirl.

I’m loving everyone’s crafty makes 😍
I’ve not been doing much crocheting in the run up to Christmas. During the Christmas holidays I made this stroller/car seat baby blanket for my neighbours new gt.grandson due in January
