Happy new year crafty Peas, many good wishes for 2020 to you all.
I finished my Buccaneer shawl, it's in dire need of blocking to open up the lace and sort out the wonky edges but I'm just so happy it's off the needles, the last grey section was a bit of a slog.
I started the Relax shawl yesterday, it's a really simple pattern and Aran weight yarn so it's working up fairly quickly
it's just stocking stitch with sections of textured stitches to make it more interesting, it's very squishy

lainey Those bold colors against the gray are beautiful. Please post another pic once it's blocked. I'd love to get a sense of the size of it and see how pretty the lacy sections are. I just love it.

I've got this Bronwyn Shawl going right now. It's going to be huge when done I think and very warm. It's a very thick yarn, soft yarn crocheted on a 7 mm hook!! And then I decided to do another rainbow granny as I had enough colored yarn to do another just in the opposite direction. Just need to buy a bit more black. And this one I think I am keeping. And I'm looking for just the right pattern for some kind of shawl or wrap for the whirl DD bought me for Christmas. I am thinking I might experiment with adding beads. Who knows? The two projects I have going right now are enough to keep me busy.

Lovely shawls ladies! lainey what is your rainbow yarn and jeremysgirl what is yours please? Having told myself I must finish my wips before starting anything else I went and bought five patterns the other day. Sigh.

Already lovely projects posted.
I've completed the body of my dune blanket, currently dealing with the yarn ends, about twenty rows of threads to do. Then the four row border.
The kaleidoscope cal starts on Friday, I misread the project time, seems it will take 26 weeks, a new part every two weeks for thirteen weeks. How long I take is another matter!

gillyp mine is called Major from Universal Yarns. The color is called Ballerina. We all know what a sucker I am for pink. The whirl DD got me for Christmas is Strawberries and Scream. I love it. So more red to pink. And isn't that just the way it is? Patterns, yarn, yum. I have enough projects in my ravelry favorites to last me a lifetime. Yet...I'm still looking...haha

Way to go Suziee2 it looks great. Don't even worry about the mistakes. Because if you don't try, you don't improve. Good to have you here.

Ok, Ladies. I am absolutely determined to start posting projects on this thread again. If I don’t, will somebody please call me out? Current WIP is some hunting hats for my son’s friends. Crocheted using the Vines & Twigs hat pattern, except I pick up & knit the brim. Thinking of trying to knit an entire lining for one. Would give it an extra layer of warmth and hide what isn’t a very pretty inside (due to post stitches). Also made a sort of gag/novelty hat for my Dad, who is known for wearing these hats. Was part of his Christmas gift this year. Premier Yarns Plaid and pattern is from Moogly. Hat for my DH, who works outside and always complains about his ears being cold. Yarn is Drifter DK carried with Berroco Remix, and pattern is a Watch Cap with modified brim. A couple of dolly outfits for my niece Here are a couple of hats for angel tree gifts Another dolly outfit my friend gave her great niece, and a hat to go with it.

Had to take a breath but here’s a few more. Sorry for the picture bomb. Request from my daughter who doesn’t like yarn, how could I refuse? It sings “Silent Night” Baby gift for a relative Silent auction for hunting club fundraiser Here’s a hat I made with the Universal Major that jeremysgirl has. It’s delicious! And a couple of times I’ve worn yarn lately: Me fangirling with Marty Wagler of the Steel Wheels, wearing my first “fancy” shawl. Pattern is called Spill and yarn is a couple of Shawl in a Balls with a lot of cutting & pasting. And a This Way Wrap made with Yarn Bee Catalina And last but not least, the WIP I’ll return to after the hunting hats. Pattern is Easy Goes It and yarn is Red Heart Melange. I’m loving it! And that’s all for a while. I did a craft show in the fall but will save some of that for another time. Looking forward to seeing what everyone makes this year!!

Beautiful work ladies. You all are inspiring me to dig out my knitting needles and crochet hooks but it's been so long I'm not sure I'd remember how.

I'm working on a C2C crochet baby blanket using HL Soft Secret in white. I will hopefully get better with my pictures. I'll post the blanket when I'm done. I truly enjoy everyone's posts here. There are so many talented people with beautifully crafted projects. ETA: I changed the yarn name as I had it confused with Carron's Simply Soft. The HL Soft Secret compares to the Carron's Simply soft. I must have had that in my mind. Attachments:

flute4peace the Spill shawl is lovely. And I like the red/black/gray of that yarn too. It's so fabulously dyed isn't it? I love the way the colors transition.

Such pretty projects! Especially loving flute4peace 's knit hats with the furry pom poms on top! I haven't done any baskets in a couple of years but had the urge to pick it up again just the other day. Decided to start small so I did a little container for one of my daughter's succulent plants. I've begun another but it's a bit more complicated and I'm nervous about and therefore procrastinating on the next step. Anyone else do that? Here's the mini basket:

I’m finishing up the world’s most boring garter stitch scarf for myself. I’m excited because I just ordered two skeins of Knitpicks Chroma fingering for a hat for a friend. I need something a bit more challenging for this cold month. My dog loves to curl up next to me on the couch while I knit.

Happy New Year crafty pea people. Loving all the work you have done. I have started a new project of a mini room box as a nursery. Here is a pic of box in it`s first stage of construction. The window has a removable picture (stamped and coloured with Promarker pens. Floorboards (coffee stirrers) are stained then Linseed Oil and wax in several coats to finish. Skirting boards, Dado rails and coving are painted ready to do the wallpaper, which I haven`t bought yet. My Pet shop and Tattoo studio are finished but not in place for taking pics yet.
