Interview with Sandra. She mentions Rob showing her how to do things while they were on Island of the Idols, so I would be VERY surprised if she told Rob she wasgoing to be on this season. Why would he help out someone who was about to become his competition? Why else would he be teaching her those things if she wasn't going to play again? I doubt Rob is that petty, if she said she was playing and asked him to show her how to do certain things, I think he'd still show her...and if they had ended up on the same team then they'd be allies not competition initially.

I read the article - but I still kind of wonder if Sandra & Rob have a secret alliance. Wouldn't surprise me at all

Maybe he didn't want to spend 39 days opening all her coconuts? Maybe he was bored? He couldn't have thought she would be an ally in the game if he lied to her about not being on the new season.

Making alliances before the game even starts does feel kind of not cool.

He couldn't have thought she would be an ally in the game if he lied to her about not being on the new season. I don't agree. He didn't tell anyone he knew he was going in & he has the potential to use that as a positive when making allies in the game. Sandra can confirm (and she already has) that they did not make plans before the game even though they just spent over a month working together, which can work to his advantage with other players and also Sandra will know he's likely to be telling her the truth if/when he tells her he didn't make plans with any other players before coming into this season. At this point it seems to have backfired on him because she's angry about it, but it had the potential to go the other way as well.

I’m glad you put on your flame suit because yeah, that’s a pretty crappy thing to say. And that’s coming from someone who truly cannot stand Rob. If a guy was making crappy comments about a woman of that age not having a perfect body in a swimsuit, we’d skewer him. Rob’s a 44-year old dad and he looks perfectly fine for a guy in his 40s. I actually prefer seeing these buff Survivor players aging and looking kind of regular. For a while Survivor was strictly going with models and super buff bodies. I like my reality TV feeling a little more real.

I don't think anyone contributed more to getting his team over the rolling log than Rob.

Strictly from a work perspective, there’s few that are better.

While Sandra will sit out as many times as possible to avoid both expending the effort to participate in the challenge and the possibility of screwing up in the challenge and becoming a target.

My mom and I watched a couple YouTube videos of some of the players we had forgotten about before the episode. One of them was Danni (whom I’ve seen a few survivor experts rank her high in odds of doing well). Tonight’s Danni was not the Danni of old. She seems to have lost all her confidence and made huge rookie mistakes. It was just such a huge contrast to how she played in her season. Just very surprised-it was like she psyched herself out.

Ok...... can anyone explain why they wouldn’t get rid of Rob and Sandra instantly. Getting rid of Danni was so stupid. Every player out there is a winner. They all excelled for 40 days. Outwit. Outlast. Outplay. No one has come close to getting the airtime Rob and Sandra have gotten. There is a reason for that. They are good. They are dangerous. They need to be the big concern. Next would be Parvati, Tony and Tyson.
I do not like Adam. I am however respecting his game play more this season than on his. I think he may go far.
I also really like Natalie. I didn’t watch her season. I may have to. She seems to be a hustler with a quick brain. Great combination for Survivor. I hope she can get back in!
Lastly......I’d love to see Rick Devens come back some day!! He is a favorite!

I was stunned that Denise wanted to give the other half of her idol to Parv! I was stunned at how badly Rob did in the puzzle part of the challenge. And I was stunned at how everyone complied and emptied out their bags to prove they didn't have an idol. These are past winners who are asking how high when Rob tells them to jump. Makes me crazy.

I found last nights episode a little dull, didn't hold my interest as it should have. Danni needed to go she wouldn't have lasted long term
I was shocked that Rob & Denise were so far behind in solving the puzzle at the challenge!

Although, I like Sandra and hope she stays in for awhile. Danni was no threat, better to have her in the game b/c she didn't seem too strategic and would be easier to manipulate to vote the way you'd want her to. Everyone should be gunning for Rob and this was the perfect time since he was the main reason for doing so poorly in the challenge. PLUS he has his wife in the game. PLUS he just played a mentor in the last Survivor so he is up to date on the most recent twists of the game. He has so much insight. I agree Parvati would be next on my list after Rob.

Danni just made it easy for them to pick her. The path of least resistance means no one has a big target on their back going into next week. It was insane that Denise didn't at least offer the half-idol to Ben and EVEN MORE INSANE that she suggested Parvati??? Why???!! I'm not a fan, but Adam is playing a smart game and was the only one to try stand up to Rob's orders to empty their bags at tribal. It will be fun next week when everyone is hunting idols thinking it is still out there. Well, everyone except Ben, Denise and Adam. I'm loving that Natalie is still in the game on EOE. Can we talk about Tony and the 100 foot ladder?!

I was stunned at how badly Rob did in the puzzle part of the challenge I wasn't...they just voted out his wife, his focus was all on that and all his brain energy was taken up with plotting a thousand ways to get revenge and how to get her back in and he just wasn't focused on that puzzle. I don't think it's smart to take out the big threats first - it's smarter to play with them until near the end use them for protection as long as you can ...but be smart about when the time is right to launch the blindside. Rob works hard and he's smart, but he isn't that much of a great player - it took him 4 tries to win Sandra also has two strategies - "anybody but me" & "take me to the end because I won't get any votes" (Hantz was an idiot to fall for that!)...they all know that's not true now, she pulls out the kids and the veteran husband and they hand her the money. She's not great at challenges and she doesn't win individual immunity - so work with her to get everyone else out and then blindside her at the final hurdle. They should all know how to deal with Sandra and Rob now - they've seen them play often enough. I hope they keep getting rid of the weaker players and all the power players fight it out until the end. I'm sick of watching games where all the 'big' players cannibalize each other and we're left with 3 duds at the end & none of them really deserve to win. I also really like Natalie. I didn’t watch her season. I may have to. She seems to be a hustler with a quick brain. To her credit she seems to have matured a LOT since her seasons on AR & Survivor, but she was an annoying whiney brat the first time, especially when she was with her sister. That first day on Extinction island after she walked up that massive hill, all she said was that her legs were burning. If that had happened in her first season, she would have been crying and complaining how unfair it all was the whole way. She's much calmer, more focused and has a better work ethic than the first time around.

And loving Nat’s game!
too bad the same team lost again. They will scramble the teams next week right?

I must not have been paying close attention, because I have no idea why Ethan got voted off. I watched the challenge closely because it was a tight one, but I feel like I missed a whole lot back at camp. I think if they are going to keep doing EofE they need to make 90 minute episodes. It takes away way too much time of the stuff going on at camp.

Adam was the only vote for Parv. Ethan, Rob and Parv voted for Adam. The Ethan eviction was a surprise as his name had not been mentioned. Once again, very stupid to keep Rob and Parv. Ethan had always been one of my favorites but last night once I realized he was aligned with the two nastiest people, I was rather glad he was blindsided. You have to give Natalie credit...she is smart. Why does Sandra get to sit out all the challenges?

Why does Sandra get to sit out all the challenges? The rule is the same person can't sit out twice in a row. I think it should be changed so that no one can sit out twice until every person on the tribe has sat out once.

Can someone tell me what happened at EOE/what Nat did? My TiVo powered down for some reason and I lost that whole section of the episode. I think the group thar did the blind sliding was concerned that Parv had an idol so they thought Ethan was more safe and still effective because he was part of the three. But they should have done rob - unless they thought he might have the idol, too. But it was dumb because he felt safe and wouldn’t have played it then- now he knows they are out to get him.
I agree about Sandra- it’s not fair to just not sit out back to back. Should be someone different until everyone has sat out.
