Are you wearing a mask now?

Not sure....I think if I lived in NYC or LA or New Orleans...yes...  

I have several that I got at Kaiser last year during allergy season. I figure it wouldn't hurt. I just went to Trader Joe's and Costco ~ definitely more people are wearing them. Trader Joe's rocks with their new system of only letting 40 people in the store at a time, wiping down the carts for you and making sure people are socially distanced. Costco has new guidelines too plus Plexiglas shields for the cashiers and the guys that check your receipt at the door. They also had a guy walking down the line sanitizing the carts of people waiting to enter. I had already wiped mine down with wipes that I now carry in my purse.

So far, no. There have been no positive tests in our county yet and only 1 (or 2?) in the county where I do my shopping. I just stay away from people as much as I can (not easy because every aisle had a curbside shopper with a giant cart). Walmart employees are not wearing masks or gloves or anything while they fill curbside orders.

I just ventured out of the house for the first time yesterday since my surgery on March 11 and I wore an old drywall mask DH found in the basement. Today I had to go to a lab and the ER and I also wore a mask. It just makes sense to me, even if protection isn't perfect.

ETA: It made me much more mindful of where my hands were.

Yes, I am wearing a mask and gloves. I saw quite a few masks at Costco today.

I went grocery shopping for my family on Monday and only a couple of people were wearing masks.

My mother asked me to bring her groceries today, so I went shopping again today at 2 different stores - - 95% of the shoppers and all of the workers at both stores were wearing masks.

Big change in just 4 days. I didn’t wear a mask on Monday, but did today too.

 I think that’s great, but man I bet it felt like a punch in the gut seeing that.

When I went shopping on Tuesday I saw more people wearing masks now than before. I wore one. We are on the upswing of new cases here and they predict the next two weeks will be bad. So, when I go to the store, I’ll wear one. As of right now, I don’t need to leave the house again until next week.

I will be from this point on. While packing my hallway closet, I found a package of 2 masks and I honestly had such a strange feeling when I saw them. The first feeling was guilt because they are the N-95 masks that medical personnel need so badly. I know 2 masks isn’t much and had it been a box of them, I would have driven them to my local hospital to share. I don’t even remember buying these. I think I bought them to spray paint something.

I will be wearing one during my next Costco visit. I think I am just going to skip Trader Joe this month. When I was at Costco almost a month ago, the cashiers were wearing both a mask and gloves. Same at the pharmacy when I picked up my meds. Not very many people shopping had them on, but a few did. I imagine it has already changed and I anticipate seeing them everywhere now. And even if I am the only person wearing one, that’s fine with me. I would rather be healthy than feel embarrassed by my caution.

I haven’t left the house, but if I did, I’d wear a mask. I had a box of N95s from the fires. I gave them away to a nurse and respiratory therapist, but I kept a couple for my husband and I to wear if needed.

No. Not wearing gloves, either, to be honest. It's kinda pointless in my case. I'm wheeling a wheelchair. I touch my wheels constantly. Makes much more sense to just wash my hands periodically. And it isn't as though I can wheel once, stop, wash my hands or sanitize, then move again.

I'm comfortable accepting the risk. I'm certainly following the guidelines from our Provincial Health Officer. Not going out for groceries more than once every week or two - and in fact I am now stocked up for nearly a month. No going to friends' homes, and nobody is coming over (though that is a requirement by our management team at the complex where I live). Social distancing.

News outlets here are reporting that the CDC is set to recommend everyone wear a mask outside their home. Hospitals and nursing homes are asking citizens to see masks and donate them.

Some cities are moving to make it a law that you must wear a mask.

I’m not a sewer but got three bandanas at Walmart pick up seriously the ugliest prints I have ever seen lol. I was told you could get gloves at Sam’s club online but nope all sold out.

Really hoping to not leave the house for two weeks.
