PurpleAir shows that numbers in my area are over 150 and in the unhealthy range. AirNow says the numbers are still fine, but their one sensor is much further from my location. ☹️ What are your numbers like? www.purpleair.com/mapwww.airnow.gov

But we are on the East Coast and nowhere near the fires on the West Coast. The pandemic and reduced traffic has had a huge impact on our air quality - I’m in the Metro DC area and traffic continues to be a fraction of what it was pre-pandemic.

The closest one to me says 160. I think it's mostly the smoke that has come over from California. Two days ago we couldn't even see the mountains through the smoke. And we live very close to the mountains.

We're at 16 (suburban Portland, OR), which is kind of surprising, honestly. Given how bad the fires are in California, I would not be surprised to see our air quality affected. I know most of my colleagues in Utah are seeing poor AQI due to the CA fires.

Ours is moderate and has been for several days. There's been an increase in micro dust particles in the air from a multitude of smaller grass and brush fires around the county. We're under a burn ban but fires still happen, and even the little ones add up to negatively affect the air quality in the area.

Everything below the fires is orange and red.

I think the iqair site only uses calibrated, verified sensors. It has my neighborhood around 250 where the purple air site is showing more like 450.

The wind is picking up outside I live at the bottom of a hill with windy narrow roads it looks like neighbors up the hill are parking their cars down below in case we have to evacuate- roads would be clogged.

One site says 105 and the other 153. We are getting the smoke from both California and Colorado's wildfires.
