iheartpaper, as soon as we went on our Disney trip I ordered a bunch of Say Cheese and then a couple of weeks later I saw the Echo Park collection and was really bummed out that I hadn't seen it before. I liked the brighter colors so much better. Oh well. I'll still have a blast with Say Cheese and reliving all those fun memories. I'd like to get a couple of 12x12 layouts done before my pictures arrive next week. Then it'll be DisneyDisneyDisney for a while.

I am making a December album but it's not a December Daily. I have documented my massive card making venture this year for the card swap and also 60 cards for the Caring Hearts card drive. This weekend I made a faux wreath to hang outside by my front door. Once I get the glitter all cleaned off the table I will be able to scrap my 12x12 pages from October through Thanksgiving.

I am going to a crop Fri eve and all day Sat. If I can get myself just a bit organized I might actually see the end in site of my California project. This will be my only chance to scrap in December. I'll update on this post and see how I do after Sat.
Right now I'm working on getting Christmas cards sent out - store bought but they include a photo and one page newsletter. Sun I will wrap gifts and assess where I am at with gift buying.

DD & I spent Sunday morning creating gift tags for Christmas packages. I'm still working on some shaker tags for the nieces.

In October I made a bookmark tag for a friend. She loved it and asked if it would be possible to make about 30 of them for our entire book club. We started them today. We still have a couple of weeks until the book club meeting. We are using distress ink, tags, stencils, stamps, embossing ink, and powders. I think it will be a nice surprise for the ladies in our book club.

This is a great thread and I will take the opportunity to brag ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg) I finished my week in the life (I did it for the first week f October, our first week of being married) and t felt so good to complete something! It's been too long, between our recent move and the wedding! Then I dragged my poor husband to ikea to get some organizing furniture and a new desk. I set it all up and now I have this amazing place! I "caught up" with PL (I decided to skip a few months) and finished a "chapter" of a mini album I'm doing for long weekend type trips in 2016. It feels so good to be back at it!

The numbers are getting smaller for my gift albums. I have 79 more to do before Christmas Eve. Sometimes the number seems overwhelming, but I'm getting it done.
Right now I'm working on the 5.5x8.5 albums. Last night I did four pages but I didn't feel like I could be creative. Tonight has been better. I did eight and felt like they came together much easier. I have eight more pages laid out before I change kits and start the process again...my goal for tomorrow.

Glad to see everyone getting so much done. With one arm in a sling, even folding Christmas letters and stuffing them with the cards into envelopes is a challenge, but I have only one more batch to do.
Then on to gluing my calendars together. (Each month all this year, I created a page for next year's calendar. I had copies printed, and now just need to glue them into the 12x12 2017 calendars, and write in the birthdays and anniversaries onto the pages in each calendar)

Well I need 3 bday cards and minimum 3 Christmas cards by Dec 11th..I need a special card to send to a scrappy friend for Christmas. And in reality it would be nice to have a few other cards to be able to send out. I would like between Christmas and New Years break to get my rooms organized for the New Year so I can just create and enjoy my stuff. Plan for immediate need cards is on Saturday to go to friends house and have a mini marathon crop and get the 6 cards done. I have a work Christmas party to go to Saturday night so I have 6 hrs at her house to create. I am doing only 1 design for Bday and 1 design for Christmas. And both I can do quick I believe.

Not so much pain in the arm, for sure. Restricted movement though, and then aches & pains in the rest of my body to compensate. Yesterday morning I felt great, and tried to go all day with no pain meds since night before. Bad idea. Pretty achy by last night, and woke up stiff this morning. But it I finished getting those cards ready to mail, and even made a bd card for my brother! Time for a nap...

ummm...yeah, so it's still Easter if you look at my Project Life. I'm home tomorrow because my son has strep (again, poor guy!) so I'm hoping to catch up a bit. Would to make it to at least the start of school and then get caught up over Christmas break.
I also need to update the kids' albums with my pile of this year's school stuff so far and then I have a trip album I need to do from last year, but that might just become a photo book. Not sure yet. Would love to get all that done by the end of the year. We'll see!

You've all been so busy and crafty!!! I got my albums and page protectors in the mail today. I was so excited to be able to put some layouts in albums until I saw that the packages had 5 page protectors per package. I thought they'd have 10. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ui47LhQw2NqWVWNNqtfM.jpg) Oh, well. I was able to put 50 layouts in albums and I'll have to order more. I'm hoping to put some cider in the crock pot tomorrow and scrap all afternoon. We have lots of rain in the forecast so it'll be a good time to scrap.

Yesterday I finished the eight pages and laid out a dozen more. I've been using the Clique Kits from their Black Friday sale and because they've been loaded the pages are coming together very fast. I switched from Origins to Moon Child for these next twelve.
I have 71 layouts to go in the gift albums.

grammadee , I slice an orange and stud the slices with cloves, add about 6-8 cinnamon sticks, add 1 cup brown sugar to a gallon of cider and let it heat up for a couple of hours. It's so good on a cold day and it does smell wonderful. My family and friends love it. iheartpaper , I'm amazed at your progress! What is your process? Do you find sketches? Do you keep your layouts simple to get them done quickly or are they embellished? I just feel like I need to know how you go about getting so much done! Of course, having a deadline helps.

Do you keep your layouts simple to get them done quickly or are they embellished? I just feel like I need to know how you go about getting so much done! Of course, having a deadline helps. Kits! Usually DIY kits, but because of the Black Friday sales I'm using Clique Kits. First I ordered all the pictures. Once in the house I divide them up into the page protectors in the albums. It's easy to figure out really quickly how the pictures will look best on the pages, especially on the little pages like the 5.5x8.5 pages. This takes one crafty session. So now that everything is in order, I just look through the album to see what I want to scrapbook. There was a series of pages in my sister and her two girls albums that I knew would be perfect with the Origins kit from Clique Kits. I break the kit apart. Cut apart anything that has to be cut apart. Put embellishments in a bowl, etc. So I lay out the pictures on the correct size patterned paper from the kit. My sister had four 12x12 pages so I started there. I picked four sheets of papers that would work for the pictures and laid each page with its pictures in a box after cutting off the branding strips. She also had both sides of a 12x12 divided sheet protector. I put the whole sheet protector in the box (these are all in the correct order) with any cut aparts I know I'll be using for the empty pockets. Same goes for the smaller albums, but for these I cut the pages down to the correct size before adding them to the box in correct order. On the 5.5x8.5 albums I cut the first strip at 3.5x12 so I can have a good size piece for layering, then I make the other cuts. I put all the off cuts together in a tray to use for layering. Now everything is "laid out" in a box. In that instance it was 26 pages laid out in one crafty session. It doesn't take long if you make quick decisions with the paper choices. I make sure to use a post it note to know which album the pages are from if I'm working in multiple albums. I still mat pictures, so I cut the mats to size, lightly ink edges and glue at this point. Everything is ready to go. I start laying things down on the page in a way that it's pleasing to the eye. I know then what layers are needed and where clusters would go. I work two pages at a time, but not in two page layouts, just things flowing well. I can see that this cluster needs a label or circle or something small like enamel dots. A title would look good here, etc. Quick decisions. Everything is on my tray and in my bowl, so I'm just grabbing what I want. In this group of layouts I started running low on stickers and embellishments, so I added another pack of each to the bowl. I don't want the flow to stop because I don't have enough of the goodies to make nice layouts. I love layers and embellishing. I don't force the process. If I don't feel creative I stop. Some days I can do more than others. Some days I do them in more than one session. When all the layouts are complete I will sew on all of them. It keeps the thickers, alphas or clusters from falling off and it also gives additional texture to the layout. I tie the strings off in the back and slip them into the albums. Doing stuff in batches has always been helpful to me as a bulk scrapbooker. I dont do the pages the same because there are different embellishments or numbers of pictures, etc, but the process is done in bulk. I think the main key to the whole process is that I'm mobile. I can go wherever in the house and scrapbook. If my DH is tired and wants to watch tv in bed, I can scrapbook right next to him. For this project, I've been hanging out in the living room for the most part. Last night I scrapbooked while our football team won! Some other things that are helpful is that my kids are all older, so I have more time. My family is very supportive of this hobby. They will give me grief though when I've been buying too much scrapbook stuff! I spend all my time with them, even if I'm scrapping right next to them. I can be in their world at the same time...it's my favorite place to be! Kits are a very helpful tool in scrapbooking. DIY kits are easy to make if you know your process. I might make one page out of a kit before putting it back and using another kit. You don't need to kill it at that moment. I also might make 26 pages out of a kit and do a pretty good job of killing it! I like options. I've wrote a novel, but it works for me!

My goal is to get my DD album done up to the 22nd when I leave for the UK. Other than that just need to do my Christmas wrapping and send my email newsletter. I'll be back to scrapping in February after my holiday.

I've been working on Shimelle's Design Decisions class and I really want to finish that before I begin my Dec daily album. I have 2 layouts to go, both of which are half done.
I'm hoping to finish both today and will then pull out some Christmas supplies to make my DD kit. I've been doing journaling each day in a Word doc so I have the hard part done and with no outside plans this weekend I'm planning on scrapping.

iheartpaper, thanks so much for taking some time to post about your process. The most important things I took away from it was that having coordinating supplies close at hand and making quick decisions are a big part of getting those layouts done. I tend to scrap in batches and it works for me too. I did some organizing and purging instead of actually scrapping this afternoon. My desk was turning into a catch all space and I hate it when that happens. A messy desk isn't inviting to me. I need to have a clean space to scrap. Now it's all ready for scrapping and I need to make dinner. Hopefully I'll have some energy to actually scrap later.

I love my process, and while it isn't for everyone, I hope the novel I wrote helps!
Today I got the twelve layouts that I had laid out finished. Now I'm down to 59 but I have no clue what I'm going to work on next. That's when the walking away when tired rule comes in to play!
