well done Elsabelleall I've been doing is cards from scraps - I've probably done about 70 since Christmas....8 New Year's cards, 5 Christmas Thank you cards, a half dozen-ish Hallowe'en cards, and the rest are just notecards for letter-writing. I started with my Christmas scraps, then tackled my orange scraps, and now I'm working on blue...I have a batch of 21 Christmas cards in progress on my desk. I still have WAY too many scraps I easily send close to 500 cards a year between the various holidays, the weekly notecards I send, thank you cards, birthday cards and so on - and my card box was pretty empty.

You ladies have been on it! I have partially filled my December Documented with the paper and pictures, but after completing the gift albums I don't have much creativity to use to scrapbook the pages. linda...that is really fabulous. I have always admired people who used their scraps for cards, but I am a lousy card maker who owns no stamps. It is really wonderful that you take the time to send 500 cards a year...the recipients must adore them!

iheartpaper - my cards are very simple - I'm not one of those super-creative card makers by any means, but I do think my recipients are happy to get them - or at least the notes written inside my weekly correspondents are my mum, my son (stationed overseas), and two elderly ladies (one is my mum's best friend, one is a former co-worker from when I was a teen - both are shut-ins now)- there were a few more but the downside to correspondence with the elderly is that they tend to pass away. I write a bit less frequently to my niece in the Army, my nephew in the Coast Guard, and my daughter's friend in the Marine Corps as well as my sister and my best friend - they all get New Years, Valentine, St Patrick's Day, Easter, Hallowe'en, Thanksgiving etc...cards at a minimum and usually some notecards in between. And then of course at Christmas I send cards to a longer list. I have another nephew headed to Navy bootcamp this coming year so he'll be added to the list and one of my younger daughter's friend's brother is going to Marine boot camp so I need to get his address as well.

When we (I was the dependent)were stationed in Germany, we were young and away from home for the first time. Mail from home made me so very happy. You're a sweetie to send mail to all on your list!

I had a marathon scrap session yesterday from 9:00am- 1:00am. I don't know what came over me. I easily send close to 500 cards a year between the various holidays, the weekly notecards I send, thank you cards, birthday cards and so on - and my card box was pretty empty. WOW! I'm is serious awe of you both!!

I admit I gave up on December Daily this year, I just decided to add this month into my regular scrapbook and call it done! But I also decided to take apart my 9x12 album and convert it over to 6x12... crazy yes but I felt so stalled and uninspired after October. I had so many incomplete layouts and realized that as much as I loved 9x12, its too big for me. The moment I changed over to a smaller size, I finished the entire year on Thursday!

I've often thought about using both of those sizes, but haven't purchased any albums. I do LOVE adding a 6x12 as an insert in my 12x12 albums. You must be so happy to have completed the year...I know I would!

I woke up early when I could have slept in. Don't you hate when that happens? Now I'm in a sleepy daze and I'm hoping I can muster up the motivation to cut some titles today.
