Last night I did four more pages. Today I did 20. I only have 24 pages of the gift albums to complete. They are graduation and pet pages. Once I pick two kits they should breeze by. I wish I could be done before DD19 arrives on Friday afternoon, but I'm taking my mom to the supermarket that morning. I feel really relieved though that I'm down to 24. Yay!!! I can't believe how many pages you have completed! Even with a systematic approach, this is amazing! WTG! My claim to fame is I made one Christmas card today. Used one of the TE dies I ordered cyber Monday.

I can't believe how many pages you have completed! Even with a systematic approach, this is amazing! WTG! My claim to fame is I made one Christmas card today. Used one of the TE dies I ordered cyber Monday. In my regular albums it takes much longer to complete pages. More of a normal time frame. When you take the time to gather pictures, a kit, make decisions and put the whole page together in one setting...it would take longer. Some of my favorite pages in my albums have no pictures, but tell a story. Much more time consuming for me. Plus no looming deadline that gives me an excuse not to make dinner tonight...lol. Last year, when my eight memorial albums were finished (all 496 pages), I didn't know what to do with myself. I think that's why I got very little scrapbooking done until after summer. I really don't want that to happen again! I'll concentrate on December Documented next. It's good that you were able to play with your new die!

I am so excited! I put together a page today! Used the December sketch to get started. Doesn't look much like it now, b/c I tend to throw stuff at a project til there's no more room. Will take a pic tomorrow.

So nice to see so much joy in this thread! I've just edited a few pictures for my parents' end-of-the-year sort-of-PL mini album which will be a surprise gift for Christmas. They don't know I have a Selphy nowadays so I plan on taking it with me and printing out photos last minute on Christmas Eve so I can hide in the guest room and add them in (I've already set aside a some embellishments and have a good idea of what I'll likely spell out with an alpha sticker set) before dropping the album into a gift bag and shoving it under the tree to be opened a few minutes later. So far, I've finished November and the first week of December. Granted, that's a handful of peanuts compared to what some of you are doing! But hey, I'm still somehow finding the time to stay committed to a scrappy gift project even if my month has been far busier than I had anticipated.

I decided that if grammadee was scrapping one handed I should get something done. My Disney pictures came in the mail yesterday. I cut apart the ones I used Photosheet on and separated them into layouts. The first layout is pretty well planned out and should come together quickly today. I'm excited about scrapping these pictures and trying not to feel overwhelmed by such a big project. This should be fun, right?

Like it might set the tone for the entire album or something. Once I have the first page complete I'm set

I got ZERO pages done yesterday and today...how's that for speedy? I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting for DD19 to finally arrive and I know that after a long day of errands that none will get done tonight. We're getting a bit of snow tomorrow so it will be a lovely day to scrapbook.

I decided to do my Disney album in batches since that system works for me. I'll do all paper and pictures first. After that I'll do journaling, embellishments, and titles. I've done the first single page layout and a two page layout. I started working on the next two page layout, but got sidetracked by phobias of not having enough Say Cheese and Say Cheese II. I ordered some and now I'm ready to get back to scrapping and I'm also ready for No Spend January.

No scrapping for me today...wahhh! DH called at 4:58am after wrecking his car because of icy roads. He wasn't hurt when he hit the curb, but an axel broke on his truck and I think it may be totaled. He had the tow truck driver drop him off at work, but I needed to go out on the bad roads to pick him up later when he was done. We ran a few errands and by the time we got home I was exhausted.
I did manage to order the rest of the pictures for DD19's college albums. I'm really excited to put all the pictures in albums after Christmas!

I'm so glad to hear he's ok but that is so scary and stressful. Hopefully he's not too sore. I've been working away on my Disney album. I've done paper and pictures for 9 12x12 two page layouts plus the opening page. I have two more Disneyland layouts and then I'll start the California Adventure pictures. I'm happy with my progress. I stopped for dinner and now I'm getting back to work. I definitely want to do those last two Disneyland layouts tonight.

Thanks, ladies! He did get out of shoveling because of being sore, but he's good. I love hearing how you're setting up your pages, Elsabelle. It sounds like we do this part very similar. No scrapping again yesterday, but my plan is to finish the 24 pages by Wednesday.

I got paper and pictures done for those two layouts last night. I'm going to wait until I get more Say Cheese on Thursday before I start scrapping California Adventure. Today I'm going to work on titles and possibly journaling. iheartpaper, I don't suppose you're a youtuber? I'm fascinated by you saying you need to finish 24 layouts by Wednesday. More like in awe. I'd like to see that kind of process.

I'd like to see that kind of process. No YouTube videos for me. I bet our process is similar. After I put pictures with paper and I'm ready to move on to the gluing, I just grab embellishments and extra paper that coordinates and start gluing. Here's an example of how much I might layer up. www.scrapbook.com/gallery/?m=image&id=5755257&type=searchwords&s=Kitten+Academy&sort=2I think because I know what I like and have gathered the stuff in advance (like your Say Cheese) I just go fast. I only made four pages today though...just not feeling creative. So twenty left. I have four laid out before switching supplies. We've been super busy, like everyone else at this time of year, so I just can't seem to scrapbook. I will get it done!

I also think it's important to have plenty of options to layer with. Tags, labels, stickers, ephemera, chipboard, textures, enamel dots/bling, journaling spots...the more variety the better so the cluster can come together fast. I throw it all in a tray while I'm working from that kit and just sort through.

You make some really good points. Things do move along faster when I have a good amount of embellishments. It does sound like our process is similar. You're just better and faster at decision making. I'm so slow!

Seems to ebb and flow with me. Working with a collection or a diy "kit", I can get a lot done for awhile, but then I get bored, and it becomes an effort to make the page I am working on special in some way. Then I find I have to mix it up and go for a completely different set of supplies.

Then I find I have to mix it up and go for a completely different set of supplies. That can be so true! I ended up finishing the four graduation layouts last night. The last 16 are about their pets. I'm going to lay them out this morning with a different set of supplies. I still hope to be done tomorrow.

What are you using for your pet pages? Just saw a link to some cool dog and cat collections from PhotoPlay

I'm using 2014 Jillibean Soup-Cool as a Cucumber because it had hipster dogs, grammadee. I found a collection pack at Tuesday Morning about a month back, so there is ephemera, stickers and a tiny tile alpha. I also threw in some really old Dogs N' Cats from Pressed Petals. It's from Big Lots a million years ago. I haven't gathered nearly enough extra stuff, so I'll probably need to get out some of my color bins. I laid all 16 pages out and realized one was a Fall layout. So I decided to just get that one (5.5x8.5) out of the way. It took much longer than my normal process because I was starting from scratch with no supplies ready to go. So it really is the CRAZY process I use that makes me go quickly. All the time is on the front end and no pages are getting made on the front end!

I woke up earlier than I'd like this morning so I scrapbooked. I completed six pet pages and the random inserts that went with them. Nine left. I'll be relieved to be finished!
Hopefully everyone is doing well. With Christmas so close scrapbooking is probably at the bottom of most people's list, so I hope you're accomplishing whatever goals you have for the holidays!

Almost there, iheartpaper! You GO, girl! I am in wait mode Gifts are wrapped. Baking is in the freezer. Groceries and treats are purchased.. Kids are in transit, house is as clean and tidy as it is likely to get. Meat for supper is in the oven... My only scrappy activity of the day was finishing the insides of my kids' cards before signing them and tucking them into their gift bags. And I am charging my camera battery. Hope everyone accomplished what they set out to do, or has come to terms with what is done. A favourite response of mine, when people ask "Are you ready for Christmas?" Is "it will come if I'm ready or not!" Just have to let it happen... I am loving these monthly threads, linda and Elsabelle. Great to see what everyone is doing. Hope to join in some scrappy play this next month. .
