Rosenstein did NOT threaten to quit. I've never heard of Uproxx, but you shouldn't be using it as a source because they're full of crap. Well actually we don't know if Rosenstein threatened to quit or not. We just know he has said he not quitting now. There is a difference.

3 hours ago artgirl1 said: and there is this: uproxx.com/news/deputy-ag-rod-rosenstein-threaten-resign-comey/ and i believe that Trump has narcissistic personality disorder, with delusions of grandeur. Parallels to Napoleon perhaps? Rosenstein did NOT threaten to quit. I've never heard of Uproxx, but you shouldn't be using it as a source because they're full of crap. Since you have never heard of them, how are you sure that they are full of crap? i used that source because it linked several other sources. mediabiasfactcheck.comFactual Reporting: HIGH Notes: Uproxx is an American digital media company that covers entertainment and culture. It was founded in 2008 by Jarret Myer and Brian Brater and acquired by Woven Digital in 2014. The site’s target audience is males aged 18-34. Uproxx has a left wing political affiliation in reporting. They are generally factual and source to credible information. also www.businessinsider.com/rod-rosenstein-james-comey-firing-2017-5and thehill.com/homenews/administration/332886-official-who-recommended-comey-firing-offered-to-resign-amid-uproarbut since I posted that information, this has come out www.cnbc.com/2017/05/11/deputy-ag-rosenstein-reportedly-threatened-to-quit-over-depiction-of-his-role-in-comey-dismissal.htmlbut note specifically 'Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein denied on Thursday that he threatened to quit over President Donald Trump's firing of James Comey. When asked by a Sinclair Broadcast Group reporter if he made such a threat, Rosenstein responded, "No, I'm not quitting."' he said he is not quitting but did not specifically deny that he had threatened too. You answered your own question. He didn't threaten to resign and they also didn't get it right when they said Comey asked for more money. And you're arguing semantics with his response.

TRUMP today: "I was gonna fire regardless of recommendation"
Nice, work, Trump.

Yes, Democrats were outraged by Comey and called for his removal. Trump was happy not to oblige them, but now he is. I wonder what could have caused him to suddenly change his mind? That darn Hillary! One possibility is that Rosentein was only confirmed about 2 weeks ago, THEN looked at the situation and made the recommendation to fire Comey. All happened recently and a lot less conspiracy theory based.

u Yep, if Trump said it, it must be true. It has nothing to do with the investigation of the Russian connection. Nope, absolutely not. I don't get this line of reasoning. It's not like firing Comey is going to stop the investigation. The investigation goes on without him, there are many people involved and even if it did stop it (it won't, but if it did) there are too many people that would push to get it going again. I can see 2 ways that it would benefit. First, no doubt Comey knows this investigation inside and out. I'm sure everything is documented, but if the WH appoints someone from outside as the new director, it would certainly slow the investigation. Second, he's trying to use the intimidation factor - if you don't do as you're told, you're gone. I feel both aspects can and probably will affect the investigation.

He also said that when he decided to fire Comey he thought to himself " you know, this Russia thing with trump and Russia is a made up story" So that whole story that firing Comey was because of emails was all made up. In trump's mind he got rid of the guy investigating him. He will try and replace him with someone he feels will let the investigation drop. It's clear he doesn't understand how things work in DC. All trump did was open up a can of worms.

And barking, don't forget the barking... WTH...lol. I've never seen that. Yes, and it's not dubbed over, she's actually barking. You missed it, but it was shown here before because Trump put it in an ad during the campaign and some of the same people here were outraged then, that he would do such a thing. The irony though, is that she was doing it to demean Republicans.

You missed it, but it was shown here before because Trump put it in an ad during the campaign and some of the same people here were outraged then, that he would do such a thing. The irony though, is that she was doing it to demean Republicans. Not really ironic at all given the context of it-- "(CNN) Hillary Clinton's stump speech has gone to the dogs. Not really. But Clinton told a colorful story on Monday in Reno that ended with the former secretary of state barking like a dog. Clinton was in the middle of a riff about how, in her view, Republicans say things that are not true, when she remembered a radio ad that she said ran in rural Arkansas while her husband, Bill Clinton, was running for office. "(Republicans) actually, with a straight face, say that the great recession was caused by too much regulation on Wall Street. They actually say that," Clinton said. Then she launched into her story. "One of my favorite political ads of all time was a radio ad in rural Arkansas where the announcer said, 'Wouldn't it be great if somebody running for office said something, we could have an immediate reaction to whether it was true or not. Well, we have trained this dog. Well, the dog, if it is not true, he is going to bark,'" Clinton said. "And the dog was barking on the radio and so people were barking at each other for days after that." "I want to figure out how we can do that with Republicans. We need to get that dog and follow them around and every time they say these things like, 'Oh, the Great Recession was caused by too much regulation,' arh, arh, arh, arh," Clinton said, letting out a barking noise that caused the audience to laugh and some people to mimic her. "I think," Clinton concluded, "we could cut right through a lot of their claims." Pointing out the many untrue things and crazy ass lies she was pointing out that were being said on the campaign trail isn't "slamming/demeaning the republicans". ------- Now Trump, on the other hand, used video of HRC barking to SLAM AND DEMEAN HER. "new video posted on Donald Trump’s Instagram attacks Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy credentials by showing her—out of context—barking like a dog. The spot opens with the words “When it comes to facing our opponents,” then shows Russian president Vladimir Putin performing martial arts. “Democrats have the answer,” the video goes on, cutting to a clip of the Democratic presidential frontrunner yelping like a canine. It’s followed by another spliced clip of Putin laughing. The video of Clinton comes from a February rally in Nevada. She was telling a story about a political radio ad from her time in Arkansas that used a barking dog to indicate when politicians were lying. She then imagined how the ad would play today with rhetoric from the GOP field, and she acted out the fact-checking barks." So if you're going to paint a picture of the poor picked on republicans Gia, at least tell the truth.

Funny how we're still being presented videos of Clinton, though the tumult is all around Trump and his possible criminal and/or impeachable behavior. I guess it's too much to imagine that rather than Cinton vids, maybe this thread would have loops of Trump lying or maybe "grab 'em by the pussy" looping over and over - you know, since the thread is about him and all? Nah, never mind.

Someone may have to throw themselves on the sword and release stuff that they aren't authorized to release. That's our only hope. And if someone has the balls to come out and say they still believe in Trump, get ready to have those balls stomped on.In case you're a Trump supporter and didn't get the memo that your facts and opinions aren't welcome here... I was going to say something, but at this point, I feel like it won't matter. You won't hear me. I'll just say that I am, hopeful that this country will overcome.

Really? So "having your balls stomped" if you come here and offer your opinion or facts in support Trump is welcoming opposing opinions? If you read the context of the conversation when she said that, you will see it was a general statement regarding (paraphrasing) "AFTER" people come forward with damaging info on Trump, no one will be able to back him up anymore. It didn't say, or imply anything specifically about, "coming here" to this board or things that are spoken of here. Cherry picking single comments and giving false meaning isn't being very welcoming to others opinions. It is also very hypocritical of you, after statements you made. Thanks, Lili. It was a general statement and not a warning to Trump supporters.

Let’s just put this argument to bed. Rosenstein is neither quitting nor did he threaten to quit: WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) - Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said he's not quitting, nor did he threaten to quit over his role in the firing of FBI Director James Comey. When asked by Sinclair Broadcast Group's Michelle Macaluso about reports that claim otherwise, he stated "no, I'm not quitting." Macaluso: Did you threaten to quit? Rosenstein: No.
Ok...what I’m itching to know is if his memo was merely a pretext, why would Rosenstein, who is nobody’s lackey and has served admirably under several presidents, want to lie just to provide Trump with some back-up for firing Comey? Why would he sacrifice his untarnished reputation for Trump?

That's at least the 2nd time in less than 24 hours that the rest of the statement/conversation has been left off in order to make a point that wasn't true at all. I checked on another one and showed the rest of the statement that debunked the claim being made, but I didn't check on that one. I do wonder how often that's gone on here unchecked.

Can you imagine a POTUS asking for loyalty from an FBI Director. His only allegiance is to the Constitution, against its enemies - foreign and domestic, Trump. Too bad you didn't get the memo.
