Ooh your choice lainey - have you decided what you're going to make? I have the pattern for this Tunisian crochet shawl that I want to attempt. I've had a practice and it seems quite straight forward, I just need to buy a hook with a cord. Save

It's not just yarn, every crafter I knew who visited the States always made a point of visiting a craft store and buying lots. That's so true wellway - ask me how I know 😊😆 - I brought a Cuttlebug home back when they first came out as it was half-price compared to the UK. Every time we went on an expat assignment, there were numerous boxes of craft and sewing supplies & tools included in our shipment. It was so much cheaper to stock up here and take it with me. When we would return to the US, I always sold everything I had left over at my cost or a little less (so I passed along my coupon savings!). The Europeans and Aussies were always happy to buy it. My former folding cutting table, mat and magnifying light now live in Scotland with a quilting friend. I should go visit them! This past weekend I was at the scrapbook crop, sewing my little heart out. Turns out I wasn't the only one sewing instead of scrapping! I think I counted 5 others we were quilting and/or sewing. I nearly finished the Sugar Rush quilt top. If I hadn't been careless and ironed the Heat 'n Bond to the second scallop incorrectly I would have finished. I have enough fabric to correct my mistake, but of course I had left it at home. Will get that finished and then machine applique the scallop and flower edges later this week. I also started the Milky Way paper pieced quilt. Got the first 3 stars pieced, but I still need to get the 4 sections of each sewed together. I was getting tired and after ripping out my fourth seam decided I'd save it for later. Only 10 more stars to go. I'm very happy with how it is turning out though. Here is the quilt top nearly complete. There will be another red border with yellow scallop at the top.

Finished the quilt top this afternoon. Definitely no more quilts with appliqué. It took as long to do that as to see the top together!

www.e-patternscentral.com/detail.html?prod_id=3950&cat_id=&criteria=doilydayThis is the one that I love and would love to be skilled enough to make it! I wish my Dad's Mom had survived. Or my other great aunt who could crochet well. I was too young or not even born yet when they died to teach me. My Dad's Mom was really skilled. My aunt who was Greek also had mad skills so I'll bet she would have taught me, too. She made me stoles to wear. I have 2. They are beautiful!

Here is my progress so far on my rainbow afghan. I am making a twin-size blanket. I have a ways to go yet. I need to get it done by the end of August though. Here's hoping I make it!

I've been working on card fronts. This is what I've done so far! The stamp is from "The Ton". I colored them using Zig Clean Color markers. Those are so beautiful! I think this place needs a Love button!

I'm loving seeing everyone's projects I'm currently attempting my first c2c it's a Christmas gift for a friend of mine This is it so far I so want to do a c2c but I'm scared! LOL! I think I will have to at least try it! I mentioned on a facebook group I belong to about going thru all my yarn stash this weekened before I buy anymore yarn. Most of it were for hats and scarfs, but I bet I could find some that would work for a small lapghan.

Once you get the pattern set in your head, you'll zip right along. Great stash buster!

As suzastampin says once you get the pattern in your head it grows really quickly

Mikey from the Crochet Crowd gives a good tutorial. I'll see if I can find it. Here we are www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNrS4s5C8vc&t=808s This graphghan is the first C2C I did, all thanks to the tutorial here www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZk8hk6w1xc&t=19s and above.

I love that photo with the bomb pop and the yarn. So cool!! Some more rocks I painted this month. Storms every day here keep me in painting each evening instead of out walking. The Kraken rocks are for a group event I'm attending at the end of the month. The theme is "mythological creatures." These were for Cow Appreciation day at Chick-Fil-A. Two of my kids dressed up for free food. I've been saving the broken rocks to do something with.. I also painted lighthouses and some sunshines and left them along our roadtrip. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the C2C tutorial done by Mikey from the Crochet Crowd is great. I wanted to give it a try and made a small cotton dishcloth just to get the feel of it - it is really simple and fun once you get started on it. I haven't tried a C2C graphghan but I want to - I'd like to give this FRIENDS blanket a try. Save
