I don't see where anyone has started a July thread so I will start one.
What did you complete last month?
What are your working on (your goals) for July?
I completed a few Amigurumis (Groot 2, Groot 3, Kermit the Frog) - all requests from other people.
This month my goals are to knit at least 2 dishcloths for a swap I am in (due in September). I also also been asked by a co-worker to crochet a Kermit the Frog for her and a friend wants me to crochet a giraffe for her sister. Those work up pretty quick so I will do them. After that, I hope to finish the knitted shawl I started a few months ago but put aside - it will be a gift for my mom.

Our kitchen is 95% done. DH hurt his back and now won't do anything. I've done my projects.
I pulled everything out of my craft closet and put in new storage and reorganized it. I still have stuff I don't have room for so the goal is to weed out fabric and free up space.
I've made progress on my temperature scarf. I've made several washcloths using the scrubby yarn from red heart. I'm about to cast on a red, white, and blue scarf. Yes, on July 4th. If I do nothing but work on that, I might finish it today. However, I've downloaded Gimp and fear that might get me sucked in. I want to create more designs for spoonflower so I could sell bags, key fobs and lip balm holders with my own designs.

I finished a quilt for my MIL and gave it to her for her birthday this past weekend. She loved it. Now I am going to work on some quilts for me. I just need to find where I put the quilt tops. LOL!! My DD's are going to try selling crafts at our local flea markets. Oldest DD makes jewelry and youngest DD crochets and makes crocheted dish clothes and swiffer covers. I am making doll clothes for the 18 inch dolls, like the American Girl dolls. I have dozens of patterns on line and love making them.

So glad to see a crafting thread! Now that the remodel is complete (other than a final inspection by the city), I have reacquainted myself with my sewing room! I decided to start with an old UFO, a quilted jacket I was going to make for DD when she was in 5th grade. She is now 29 and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit! The project required that you applique the design on the flannel, then quilt it. I got about half way done with quilting the panels and we were transferred to Indonesia, where there was no need for a flannel quilted jacket! I've been trying to figure out what to make of these and have finally settled on a tote. Finished up the quilting on Sunday and cut the pieces to size yesterday. Now I just have to put it together and figure out what to do for handles. I'll post a picture when I'm done. My goals are to get a couple of quilt tops pieced this month and continue to pull UFO's from my project box. I'm going to a 3 day scrapbook crop next week, but will be taking my sewing machine a piecing quilts instead. I just don't scrapbook much anymore and this seemed like a better option. Someone did it last year and I thought it was brilliant! This next week I plan to do lots of cutting and prep work to make the sewing go more quickly. However, I've downloaded Gimp and fear that might get me sucked in. I want to create more designs for spoonflower so I could sell bags, key fobs and lip balm holders with my own designs. I'd love to hear more about this! Have you had fabrics printed by Spoonflower before? I've always thought it would be fun to try.

I have finished sorting out craft room and made a couple of dozen cards for local hospital fate. My mini makes are all up to date and now I think I might be on a hand sewing binge. Today my first purchase from Amazon Prime ( thanks for convincing me Gar ) was a lovely book called Half Yard Vintage by Debbie Shore. Oh Wow it has some gorgeous small projects in and the tea cosy will probably be my first make. I have 2 sewing machines but they hardly ever see the light of day as I usually make such small things that hand sewing is so much more enjoyable for me.

I just ordered some fabric for tees so I hope that gets here soon. In the meantime I'm upcycling a bunch of old tees along with some new cheap ones I bought at amazon. Plus I'll be making Christmas cards for the Christmas in July thread in the GS.

Darn you phoenixcov! I've just checked out that book and not only do I want it, but also all the other great sewing titles on Amazon.co.uk. Just as I have sworn off buying any more craft books and promising myself I'd actually use the ones I already have. Some of those may have to find their way to my Christmas list! I'm always impressed by those who hand sew. It's my weakest area and I'm never pleased with my results.

You are quite welcome GypsyGirl Funny you mention hand sewing `cos I always admire people who can use a machine without wasting half a reel of thread or breaking a needle every 5 minutes.

My aim for July is to finish the shawl I'm making for my mum asap (she went in for her surgery today, currently waiting to hear...ETA she's out and doing well) and then get back to my Nuts About Squares. I'd like to finish that too, but I've got another month of busy weekends so it could be tough.

**GypsyGirl** I've had quite a bit printed by spoonflower. I've bought some from other designers and made my own. I have a few designs available for sale and get a few dollars in commission here and there. I've printed some designs with the marching band's show logo on it and made key fobs as a fundraiser for the band. They have so many fabric choices! Right now, they have a BOGO sale happening on fat quarters.

I'm currently painting rocks. My husband and I dropped almost 100 at the beach on Sunday. Thanks to betty for introducing me to this fun hobby! I'm still working on my lattice squares (crochet) as well.

I finished a small baby quilt in June. I am still working on a Canadian themed quilt for me.

I made a crinkle ribbon toy for a new baby girl in the family, and also a bunch of baby burp cloths. I also painted some rocks with a Happy 150th Canada message on them and left them at the park in town. I continue to make cards on a regular basis - lots of summer birthdays in our family!

Wow, ya'll have been busy! I've got 2 baby blankets in process but got distracted by a doll dress. Frustrated with it because it's miles too big (even with yarn & hook recommended in pattern) so ended up going rogue. Not delighted with it but due to it being the 3rd time through the bodice I am NOT starting over. I really love the look so will likely make another one using teeny tiny yarn with a teeny tiny hook lol.

I've been painting rocks this weekend. We hid a few late this afternoon and will hide more tonight at fireworks in town.
I bought some resin to try making some jewelry but I may wait until the kids go back to school.

I'll post some rock pictures. I'm NOT an artist but I enjoy doing this and my daughter does it with me...it's a good activity for us. We're not far from a lot of beaches and collect rocks there to paint. I regret I didn't take better pictures of some of my earlier rocks. Oh well...hopefully they have homes somewhere!!

KelleeM and betty - would love to see some photos of your painted rocks. Those are awesome KelleeM ! I especially like the little owls and hedgehogs. Dh totally thinks I'm nuts putting in all the effort and then just giving them away to strangers. LOL Fourth of July rocks: One I "hid" yesterday..down my the bull's foot.

Wow! Those painted rocks are awesome! Such incredible artwork. I'm afraid mine were nowhere near as clever as that. But it is fun to do them up and then hide them, isn't it?

Our 17 month old granddaughter tried collecting them after her Pèpére put them down. So cute!!

I don't think I completed anything in June, but I did make progress on a couple of projects. I started July (and ended June) in the best possible crafty way - I spent a long weekend in Norway with a group of knitting friends. One of our group, who is Norwegian, rented us a ski lodge just north of Lillehammer from Thursday until Monday. We all chipped in for food and drinks and had the most wonderful time. There was some sightseeing as well as knitting, chatter and late night karaoke sessions. This month, I am hoping to finish a cardigan I started back in March - just needs the second sleeve finished, and bands done. I also have 2 pair of socks OTN that I'd like to get done and sent to their new owners while it is still winter in Australia.

I'm still on my sewing kick. I joined a monthly fabric box and the stripes are the June fabric. I really like how these turned out, except my drawstring is too short.

I like how the color took differently to the gray @dknitter. Does the koolaid dye stay in after washing?
