Remember that I said I was bummed that I wasn't getting my Sephora Play box this month due to having to get a new check card? I even signed up under my DH's name after they said mine wasn't getting shipped, but then they said that his wasn't shipping this month either. Ugh. Anyway, I got home from being out of town and BOTH boxes came! And my Ipsy box came, which I hadn't even changed the card info yet for that since I thought I wanted to cancel anyway. I am totally shocked! I still didn't get the Drunk Elephant Protini in either box, which I Really wanted, but I am excited to try the other products. I was interested in everything this month. Feel free to completely ignore this request, but if my any chance you want to sell one of your sephora play boxes I would love to buy one! I have not yet signed up for the sephora play box, but would love to try the tarte lip and blush, as well as the sugar lip scrub. PM me if you are interested, and of course I will not be offended if you prefer not to.

I REALLY wish we could have a Beauty board on here. It would be so nice to have specific threads for things like eyes, lips, cheeks, subscriptions, bloggers, etc. We have a recipe board so why not a beauty board?

Beauty Peas! What is your favorite toner? Whatโs your favorite serum (if you use it)? I'm currently using Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid toner. Donโt hate it, but I donโt necessarily love it enough to repurchase. I love the price though. The only thing I hate is that it seems to take a long time to dry on my face, unless Iโm using too much. Also Iโve only used it for a month, twice a day, and Iโm already halfway through the bottle. Iโm using a Shiseido Glow Revival Serum and I like it but Iโm definitely open to a less expensive alternative. Itโs for evening out tone, reducing redness and other signs of aging. I have a couple of NeoStrata seriums and they are in the $40-50 range. They are ok but kind of sticky until they dry. I have a pricy Vit C+E serum and an eye serum and this other one by Skin Medica and they are fine except the C+E which feels like dermrolling on your skin all the time. It just stings. Not a fan. The serum was crazy expensive but I am a sheep and bought it from my dermatologist. It does feel nice. I have their hyluronic (sp!!!) and it gets a 12/10. It is seriously good and I will rebuy it. Expensive but your skin will feel like a million bucks. You will walk around differently with it on.

Please ignore my spelling. My bad wrist is killing me and I need to get a new support thing for it today. Do they come in pink? Or mint green?

I tried to copy and paste a link on my iPad and it wonโt let me. It is to the SkinMedica website. It is called HA5 and it seriously rocks my world.
I have have their lip kit and never remember to use it. It doesnโt tingle or anything but it is supposed to work miracles.
I dislike their eye creams which I have tried two of burn but I have super sensitive eyes. My eyes hate all products including water. The lid gets brownish red and inflamed looking.

Enabler alertโit cosmetics has a new oil free matte cc cream. Qvc has a set on easy pay with the cc cream, brush and cc+ airbrush powder for about $50.
On the beauty chit chat Facebook group I asked about oil and double cleansing. Someone linked to YouTube videos by Elle Leary and she talks a lot about facial oils. Cacay oil is her favorite right now but she also said that sunflower oil is good for people with red sensitive skin. Does anyone use either of these in their regimen?

My Sephora Play box was a bust this month. I got Tarte blush - in a shade I have already gotten 2 samples of, and it's broken Bite - agave lip mask Farmacy - moisturizer Caudalie - brightening serum Ren - comforting rescue mask Briogeo - shampoo packet I'm a makeup junkie, not so much a skincare junkie, because I've found what works and I'm reluctant to switch that up - I have rosacea, occasional acne, moderately sensitive skin overall, and blepharitis that likes to go crazy if anything new touches it.

What colour is the Tarte blush in? Bummer that it is broken. They make another couple of colours I would like to try. I am interested to see what you like. I like skincare but do minimal because I am lazy and donโt like a lot of steps. I also hate it when my hair gets in my face after I have just washed it and gets serum all over it. Yuck.

What colour is the Tarte blush in? It's the same one that was in the birthday gift from last year, Paaarty. I like that it's a kind of neutral pink, but it's just a smidge too light for me. If I wear it, I really have to do that "pop of color" on the apple like some makeup artist always pushes. (Maybe Bobbi Brown?) My latest favorite is a Becca one in Snapdragon. It's crazy pigmented - I literally just set my brush on top of it and use what comes off like that! It's a very strong color but really pretty.

Oh, and I'm sure they would happily replace the blush, but I literally just had a problem with an order that didn't make it all the way to me (don't know if it was swiped off the porch or what). They were super, super nice, no questions asked or anything - so I don't want it to look like I'm taking advantage or anything! However, for the record, 3 thumbs up on their customer service there!

What have you found that works well for rosacea and acne? I have a lot of redness to my skin and would really like to reduce that. I recently got a sample of Dr Jart Cicapair color corrector and I think I like it. I was searching for other options and found a few others aimed at redness but wasn't sure what actually works.

What have you found that works well for rosacea and acne? I have a lot of redness to my skin and would really like to reduce that. I use Cerave foaming cleanser (the one for normal to oily) and Epiduo for the acne/general redness. Epiduo has retinol and benzoyl peroxide. I sometimes get out of the rut of using it, and restarting is kind of rough - after about the 3rd day, it gets hurty and dry and peely - but then a few days later, it normalizes and the texture and amount of oil seem to hit the sweet spot. Then, as long as I keep up with it, I can use it about every 3rd day without having a problem. I stop using it for a while if I'm going to be in the sun a lot because it does increase sun sensitivity. (For example, I have a beach vacation coming up, so I stopped using it a couple of weeks ago.) Makeup wise, the best thing I've found is the ubiquitous IT CC cream. It's a touch yellower than what my skin tone is, so it evens out the color. My facial skin is also pinker than the rest of my skin, so going a bit more yellow works for me (if my face is slightly yellowish, it matches my body skin).

I stll want want to try another colour at Sephora. I just donโt know what to look for. Tarte makes lots of great colours. They do have a lot of good colors, but I've been kind of disappointed in the amount of pigment. I have one called Glisten (I think) that is a pretty peachy pink with a gold highlight but I swear when I put it on, I have to put so much on for it to show up! ETA - it's basically a dupe for Nars Orgasm

I am not sure how to try another colour. Paaarty was my birthday gift so I got it that way and bought the full-sized one because I liked it so much. Do you do full makeup and go into the store sans blush and try things out? I donโt know how to shop for another colour. I am also extremely unlucky when it comes to blush. Paaarty was a miracle. I am always open to suggestions, of course!

Hi I am very chatty arenโt I? I figure people can put me on ignore if they so wish.
I think it is about a month now and itโs time to switch out my makeup that is on the Raskog carts. I know I want to change my highlighter as I have this beautiful Bobbi Brown one I got for Christmas. I havenโt used it yet but I will this week.
I donโt know what to do for blush. I have my NARS orgasm one so maybe I will use it again. I have the Tarte blush set so I could use that. It is great as well. Mascara is already set in stone. It goes bad so quickly that this just makes sense. Foundation now. I have the La Prairie one that I have to mix to get the right shade. I will bring it out of hibernation I guess. My advice is donโt buy it. Peer pressure got me and it isnโt worth it. I have an Eclat concealer from YSL so I can use it for a while (duty free and it was a great deal on the plane). Eye shadow for me is a hopeless cause because I just donโt use it. Lipstick is whatever I find that day but I want to use my Sephora lip stain a bit. It is number 05 and I love it!

It definitely is a lighter shade, I think it needs to be built up a bit. It's such a pretty dusty pink though, I'm willing to work with it. I like the options in the Benefit Blush bar too. Laura Gellar Pink Buttercream is the other one I use.

Blush. Why is it so hard to pick out? I feel like I got the eye shadows and liners all figured out. Even foundation is pretty straightforward for me. But blush? I hem and haw and it takes me forever to chose a color and even then I'm unsure. I guess I get all caught up with trying to be all match-y with my lip color too. Do I go coral? Rose? Pink? I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the other day that my skin is better in some ways now that I have been using different products, but it was less red and I had fewer breakouts around my nose than I do now (I was using all Cerave products at the time). I wonder if I should go back to those and see what happens. I have sooooo many products that are supposed to be good right now, though....

I had this Elizabeth Arden palette in the 90s and it was the best colour ever and then I used it up. I have never been able to replicate nor replace that colour. I took it all over Japan and Canada to look for as good a colour and formula and nada. It was a peachy pink but just enough of both of them. How do you replace that? Itโs also in my memory so I love it even more. My mom looked for me, too and couldnโt find anything like it.

Here my enabler alert for the day: ulta is doing 5x the points (activate through the app) and they are having a lot of good sales right now! I took advantage of buying a powder for $24 and getting a free $36 It cosmetics powder brush! I used it this morning and it honesty puts the powder on me better than my old brush- looks really Light and natural. Score! I had also bought a too faced lipstick I wanted but didnโt want to spend the money- it was buy one get one free. And I stocked up on NYX products I like for buy one get one free.

Iโm really excited- my make up is looking the best it ever has (which is not saying a ton because it sucked before but Iโm pleased with it!!!). I am curious how it will compare to the regular cc so if you get it, please report back!!!
