This list is for the states of Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, and all states to their west, AND Alaska and Hawaii. If you know of a LSS in one of these states that's worth going out of the way for when we're driving through the area, please tell me the store name and location, and if you'd like to add a review, that's helpful too. I'll maintain a reference list in the top post, though I might not be able to give it a ton of attention until after the new year. But please post your stores, and I'll try to keep up. In order to keep the list from going off in too many directions, I'm not including general art supply stores or stamping supply stores unless they also sell traditional scrapbooking supplies, but feel free to mention them in your posts below if they're amazing. No MLMs please; only stores we can visit. This thread is a s/o of the How Close is Your LSS? thread in which a poster mentioned how great it would be to know where these awesome stores are so she could plan a road trip. I agree! Let's make some lists - then we can plan our road trips! The Scrapbooks Island's Creative Escape (formerly Scrapbook Island) aka "The Island" is a great store. It's located in Los Gatos, California. They have everything paper crafty, (stamping, scrapping, mixed media) and a big crop/classroom section. I wish I lived closer. The Island's FB page

Mountain View/Sunnyvale, CA has a stamp store Cranberry Hill She has Copics at a good price and a ton of stamps from a variety of companies. Richmond, CA there's the Hero Arts Factory Store. I'm also near Island, and it's good if you're a theme scrapper, a planner girl, or Lawn Fawn. I visit it regularly and have trouble finding things to buy sometimes.

It's All About the Scrapbook in Dixon, CA. It's a small store but they have crops, classes, a couple of sale racks, and a pretty good selection of supplies.

nylene do you know of any in Utah? There's the Simple Stories corporate location in Ogden where they sell their products. It's quite a small area with a table in the back with clearanced products. I can't find the address, and I was recently there. Sorry! North of Salt Lake City, I don't know of any actual LSSs.

refugeepea, I only know of the Warehouse sales which change from year to year. American Crafts Warehouse is now open again for a short time in the same location. There is Pebbles in My Pocket in Orem but it is tiny. It is great for locals but I wouldn't drive far out of my way for it. It carries a lot of wooden items for painting, home decor, etc besides mostly AC products.

I have a store very much like that in my town.

In Salt Lake City, Utah, there are still two that I shopped at recently when I visited there in August.
Mom and Me Scrapbooking 2199 East 3300 South Salt Lake City, Utah. 84109
Heartfelt Hobby and Craft 407 W 9000 S Sandy, UT 84070 United States
Heartfelt also sells Quilting supplies, but about half the store is scrapbooking.
Both stores are worth a visit if you are in the area. Heartfelt is right off I-15, on 90th South. It's a little tricky to spot and get into, but easier if you use the side street the gas station (next to Hearfelt) is on.
Mom and Me is several blocks from I-215, but not bad to get to. I think the sign just says "Scrapbook" or something like that, not the actual store name, and can be hard to spot the first time. I liked Mom and Me a little better than Heartfelt, but both are good stores.

Hawaii isn't on any of the lists, but would fit here. Island Scrapbooking is a small scrapbooking store in Hilo on the Big Island. They have a lot of Hawaii papers, embellishments, and die cuts. They also have an online store in case you find you need something after you get back home. www.islandscrapbooking.com/

No roads to Hawaii, of course. But Alaska's a pretty big place and might have an LSS or two too. I'll remedy that for you by adding Alaska and Hawaii here. Thanks!

msliz- Scrap4Less in Colorado Springs. The business has undergone some changes over the last few years. Right now they have a "booth" in an indoor farmer's market type of thing. They also have monthly crop/class events. Scrap2It is up north in Fort Collins, less than an hour from Denver. I think DH and I went there once several years ago. Who Gives a Scrap? is in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins. DH and I went to the one in CoSprings/Old Colorado City. They have lots of crafting stuff- stamps, papers, inks, fabric, yarn, old maps and books, office supplies, etc. I got a box of staples for like 50 cents. They had a lot of Stampin' Up stamps when we were there, too. They even had microfilm and microfiche, records, and old containers. Their stock changes often since it's all by donations, but the prices were very reasonable!

While visiting Astoria, Oregon, I found a darling store called Young at Heart Papercrafting. The owner doesn't seem to have a web page and the blog only has one entry - but the store is great. It's well-stocked with current paper lines, has a whole wall of stamps, tons of metal dies, and a good selection of woodcrafting. Great location, too, in the main shopping district with reasonable curbside parking available.

This is not my LSS (sniff sniff) but I have visited and it is a super neat store...worth the trip www.papertales.com/I would not cross the street to visit Paper Tales. After their behavior and treatment of their customer and posters in the Kelly Purkey incident, there is no way I would drop a cent there. In my opinion, they released private customer information, posted unbelievably rude responses, deleted their own other media posts when they were proven wrong or were faced with highly negative responses and never offered the slightest apology for their hatefulness. There are at least two threads that refer to this incident: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/43390/kelly-purkey In this thread, Kelly Purkey finally came forward and apologized for her role in the incredibly unprofessional incident. No such communication from Paper Tales though. I believe Kelly finally realized it was impacting her business because until her apology, every time her name came up, the incident with all the negative connotations was also brought up. Peas have long memories! 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/1315/paper-tales-kelly-purkey-stamp The original thread from the old 2peas board. Most of their posts have been deleted from other media, however the Peas posts go on forever and one cannot hide from them.

I took it off the list. I hope anyone considering shopping there will see your post (my bold) and read through the links. I really appreciate your post. A lot of us felt very strongly about what happened. It's part of Pea history.

I spent a very pleasant day at Pages of Tyme in Mission Viejo, California. The store is darling and quite nicely stocked. Scrapbook paper and supplies, papercrafting, wood crafts and quite a few stamps and dies. Many classes are offered. Gina, one of the owners, was exceptionally warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this lovely store. It was well worth the hour I spent on the freeway driving up from San Marcos.

This is so cool. I didn't realize there were any stores left in Colorado.
YEARS ago on the old board I used to keep a running list of Colorado stores... ya know back when.. there were more stores that you can imagine. It was all I could do to keep up with it. Sure miss those days! I bet I had at least 12-15 stores on it!

I know they are on the no-no list here, but Paper Tales in San Diego will be closing their store at the end of April. I don't think there are anymore dedicated scrapbook stores left in San Diego County now.
