KelleeM , I do that with all my leftovers. I've got a whole tub of squares. I just hate the idea of stitching them all together. These aren’t leftovers, lol. This is part of my accidental second order of the same stuff from Wool Warehouse year. I started the blanket that the kit was for then decided to try this square that lainey had linked and was sold. I’m making this for our bed and am motivated because we use the same quilt year round...I’m ready for a bit of a change!

Yes I remembered you saying that KelleeM. The colors are so pretty. I'm three rows into the woodland crochet along. I wasn't sure how I would like the thinness of the stylecraft DK. I usually use thicker yarn but it seems to be good quality and is working up nicely.

@dknitter, it is just the weirdest thing ever, isn't it? At first I really thought there was something screwy with my phone. But now that others have substantiated it, I am thinking it's something weird with the way Instagram and Tapatalk interface.

How can this possibly be on page 3 already, with so much industriousness, if that's an actual word.
I can't seem to get my act together at the moment and waste my evenings playing silly computer games. I need to get myself in gear.
That hand pic is pretty disturbing. What an odd thing to show up on your phones.

I started a Lost in Time shawl last night using one of the Mandala yarns in the Serpent colorway. I want to get busy knitting some mittens, since it's the third -20 day in the last 5 days. But, I need to be paying attention as I start them. So, I grabbed the Mandala just for some busy work until they can have my undivided attention.

What an odd thing to show up on your phones. This is me. This past week I made myself put down the phone and iPad and pick up the hook. It’s been working! I think I made about 10 or 12 squares during the week...I feel so much better having something to show for my time 😊

I'm on the last few rows of my Coast Ripple blanket. DH is away next weekend, so I should be able to finish the border then unless I decide to surprise him by cleaning the house instead LOL. I'm loving the look of the Woodland blanket, and feeling sooo tempted to do it but trying to hold firm. As a compromise, I've decided to make a cushion cover in the Coast colours (using my leftovers) but the woodland pattern - coordinating without being an exact match. My other goals for this year: Finish my Nuts About Squares blanket (crochet) Make a crochet shawl or scarf (or maybe both!) for myself from Whirl yarn Learn to make socks - could be either knit or crochet Finish Pretty Little London cross stitch and at least one other WIP Make the Pretty Little Tokyo cross stitch Lots of scrapbooking stuff Beyond that, anything else will be a bonus! I'd like to crochet a cardigan, but it's a fairly nebulous thought at the moment

Summer here, so not really crochet friendly weather. I did finish a cotton scarf in Caron Cotton cakes though Lakehouse Wrap but I did it more of a scarf than a wrap, and I also worked the pattern along the long side rather than the short side as I think that works better for the colour changes in the Caron cakes.

Dd2 is getting married in May and I'm working on decorations and favors. They're getting married on Cinco de Mayo because that's the day they met(7 yrs ago), so she wanted maracas for the exit. We will add red and turquoise ribbons to the handles, but right now, I'm working on painting them.

I'm loving everyone's craftyness. I've finished an Attic 24 hydrangea inspired throw for my niece in law last night, in her chosen colours. I'm hoping to make a start on the Attic 24 woodland CAL later today. Attachments:

JoP, I think wellway is working on it too. What are you struggling with? Maybe we can help. I have been really going at it. Once you get the hang of it, it flows nicely.

jeremysgirl I get the first two ‘proper’ rows ok and then my next row doesn’t line up with the ones below. I’m determined it’s not going to beat me and yes I’ll do the tension square tomorrow. I’m stressing as the last two ripples I’ve attempted I’ve failed at so I’m probably trying too hard. Thanks lainey I hope so too

JoP based on the FB group I'm in, it seems like quite a lot of people are having difficulties with the woodland pattern! I've done a few rows with no issues (although mine are shorter so less chance of going wrong ) - main tip I can give is to be diligent about keeping stitch markers in the first and last stitch. It seems to be the edges that are throwing most people off, if you get those ok it should fall into place.

Thanks for that jennyap I’ll definitely put stitch markers in the first and last stitches and one in the middle treble as well 👍🏻😀

Oh, the other thing is to make sure you have 12 stitches in your 'mountains' - because you're working two into each stitch it's easy to miss one of a pair and it won't affect the row you're working on but when you get to the next row you suddenly don't have enough stitches.

JoP and jeremysgirl I'm not much help at the moment. The yarn is still in its nice bag. Am interested in the issues you are having, I will be very careful setting the ripple up. JoP I bet you will be in the swing of it very soon and am looking forward to pics of your progress.

Meanwhile, back on my own projects 😄 I'm onto the border of the coast ripple, woohoo! Still on target to finish it this week. And I realised I never showed you the finished Hotel of Bees shawl, so here it is. Needs a good blocking still, to straighten out that curvy edge and really open the honeycomb section out to full effect, but here it is (artificial lighting so colours look a touch bolder than they are IRL):

Ironically I made a mistake in row two, as well. I just compensated for it making sure I had enough stitches for row three. And it isn't even noticable.

lainey & jennyap have you seen the Shell Collector Wrap? it's by the same designer as Hotel Of Bees
I'm going to have to move to Iceland so I have somewhere to wear all these wraps, there's not much use for them here in Oz
