So I ordered a few Wayne Goss brushes. They are all that a bag of chips and a sundae, too. I have two favourites. I love the sculpting brush because it is made to contour perfectly. I also love the foundation brush and it is really nice. The other three I got are all great, too. The are better than my Sonia G ones and hers are awesome in their own right.

Nope. And I want it, too. I saw it on eBay but it ships from China. Hardpass. I was just looking at Ebay. Couldn't figure out where it shipped from til I was reading the reviews. Ugh. How does the Tarte Clay Play compare?

If anyone was considering the NARS Powermatte liquid lipstick, I highly recommend it. It has great pigment and staying power.
There is some level of transfer, but it’s not bad and you wouldn’t need to touch up much, even after a big meal.
I have sensitive lips and found it to be quite comfortable.

I don't have Clay Play in front of me, but IIR Clay Play is darker. Aspen Ovard has 9 wonderfully neutral & usable shadows, a blush and a highlighter. All of them fully usable and netrual. I may have to go to Ulta tomorrow and compare the two closer.

It was half the price of my Tom Ford lipsticks, which I measure every lipstick up against 😬 What colors do you have? I got Under My Thumb. The pointed applicator is so precise — I love it.

I have Save the Queen and I love it and sometimes top it with a Fenty gloss bomb. I also have Walk this Way. I wear this instead of red. I have two of this one. I love it. I don’t love the applicator but it’s not terrible either. I would buy more if they made more.
I got two Bobbi Brown liquid lips and they are very expensive, very pretty and totally meh. They don’t dry down at all and come off on your face. I think I am done with Bobbi Brown. To me, it’s not worth the hype nor the cost.

Anyone ever use Color Pop eyeshadow? In my look for a dupe for the Aspen Ovard palette, I found a ColorPop palette that is similar with nude tones. Its on the less expensive side of things but on Ulta has great reviews. Anyone have an experience with this brand?

However, ColourPop has a great reputation for having good quality products for not very much $$. They’re known to have good pigmentation. It seems like any bad products are not their general norm, from what I have heard.

I may have mentioned this earlier, but have you looked at the Tarte Clay Play II palette? It seems very similar to the Aspyn Ovard palette.

Its on the less expensive side of things but on Ulta has great reviews. Anyone have an experience with this brand? I've had some colourpop palettes. They're a great value for the price, but there are usually way too many glittery shimmery shades for me. I mean, I want to love them, but they just don't look good on me. (The older I get, the more I gravitate to matte shadows.) And the bigger the glitter chunks in each color, the more difficult it seems to me to get good color payoff. That said, I had bought the palettes direct from Colourpop, so no returning them. From Ulta, I wouldn't hesitate to try it since they will take returns. PS: Could just be the lighting on the photos, but your Colourpop palette looks like warm tones and the tarte palette looks like cool tones.

LOL I think I will order one palette from Ulta. For the price, even if I dont use all the colors it will be worth it.

I have a couple Colour Pop palettes, and I have no complaints about them. I have a couple more on my wishlist. They are great quality for the price.

Does anyone else have bougie foundation? I had a $100 gift card I bought with points. I got LaMer foundation in the mail today after sampling four different shades of Casper. If I buy another foundation remind me I have a couple to use... It’s very pretty!

I have several of their supershock eyeshadows, which have amazing pigment and the coolest texture. I also have a bunch of their pressed eyeshadows. Also great. My daughter has several of their palettes and loves them all. All the lip products I’ve tried are also fantastic. Seriously, give them a try. I started buying their stuff when all they offered were liquid lipsticks and lippie sticks. They’ve grown tremendously and kept their prices down and I can’t say enough good things about their products! ETA they frequently run promos where you can build your own palette if you’re looking for specific shades, no glitters, whatever. Follow them on instagram, they have promos all the time.

Tarte Clay Play : I went to Ulta to see the Clay Play in person and they were out (of course!) and the sales lady didn't seem to think they were close IRL. It looks like some of the colors are similar but some are not. On the beauty chitchat page a lot of people have ordered Sydney Grace individual shadows lately. Maybe you could make a similar palette?

I received a huge order of stuff from The Ordinary last week and it’s going to take me quite some time to get opinions on most things because, well, that’s how it goes with skin care (I guess sometimes I hate something right off the bat, but you usually don’t know if it’s any good for a while).
I’m in love with their caffeine solution. My eyes can get puffy if I don’t get enough sleep and it makes a visible difference, right away. The nature of caffeine means it’s only temporary, but that’s what I expect and need when I’m using it, so that’s not a problem. And like all of The Ordinary’s stuff, it’s cheap. Definitely recommended.
I’m also a huge fan of the niacinamide 10% solution. It’s the only thing I’ve added to my skincare routine so far besides the caffeine and there is a visible difference in my skin. Maybe “brightening” is the right way to describe it - I’m not even sure. I just know that my skin, which is pretty good anyway, looks better. Glowy? I don’t know. But it’s good. Give it a shot. And again, cheap!
Looking forward to trying out more of the products soon.

I’d never heard of them before, but someone mentioned them to me in passing. I got the 2% Granactive Retinoid in Squalane, the buffet, Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5, caffeine solution and Ascorbyl Glucoside. I also ordered a BHA from Paula’s Choice. If I like their products well enough, I think I might order a primer and Rose hip oil next.

I am a huge fan of The Ordinary caffeine solution. I once forgot to put it on one eye and noticed it about an hour later in the bathroom mirror at work, it is that effective.
I also use the AHA/BHA peel twice a week and love the way it is making my skin feel and look.
I have stuck really well to my limited buying of cosmetics since my big reorganization last year. I am only buying when something is almost empty. I did get a $50 Ulta gift card from my sister in law for Christmas and I think I am going to use it on something special instead of refills.

I have several of their supershock eyeshadows, which have amazing pigment and the coolest texture. They *are* really cool. But don't mail order them - they are very soft and the 3 times I've ever ordered them, they've always come broken. This was from different vendors, too, so I don't think it's due to mistreatment on that end or in shipping.

I ask because I’ve only ordered from them, and everything has come very well packaged, and I’ve never had anything arrive broken. I’m in Canada, so the shipment has a long way to travel as well.

Nink and busy let me know what you think of the ordinary products. I’m not sure when Busy posted her initial review since I just saw the quoted post now. I was thinking about ordering the buffet, Granactive Retinoid and possibly the moisturizer, Squalane, and niacinimide.

I am kind of miffed. The exclusive skincare products I use were supposed to be only available in physician’s offices. I see they are on Costco.com. They don’t have the whole line but they do have what I use. Did they sell out this way? These aren’t drug store products by any means. I am kind of ticked off they did this. I had already decided I don’t need products this strong and won’t replace them when I use them up. This just sealed the deal.

I just posted it earlier today I also have the Buffet + Copper Peptides, Azelaic Acid, Lactic Acid 10% and a couple other things. I haven't tried any of those yet - will slowly add things into a rotation, one every couple weeks to see if there are any reactions, etc. I'm going to try the Azelaic acid next - I've heard great things about it. I'll post opinions as I have them on the other products.

If it's the same product, it's probably cheaper at Costco than at a physician's office... what's the problem?

I was thinking about the Azelaic acid as well, but I have a foam from the dermatologist that is AA and it irritates my skin. I don't know what benefit the copper has vs the regular buffet without it.

I think you have used Skinceuticals or Skinmedica in the past. You can buy that online here (dermstore.com, etc). Is that what you are referring to? If so, I think your dermatologist may have misled you if they said they were only available in doctors offices.

SkinMedica is what I use and it’s there on Costco.com. They have the ‘exclusive’ hyaluronic acid serum I buy from the doctor. Anyone can buy it but the products from my doctor there is no law against that but they were not meant to be sold by retailers. They were exclusive to physicians or medical spas that can prescribe drugs (as the parent company for Botox, Juviderm, SkinMedica and someone else is the same or are affiliated. I know this because I have an email stating there are rewards available for cosmetic purchases and injectibles used.) Does that make sense? They were all related. If I wanted Costco I would buy Costco. Plus they have had to remove cosmetics in the past as they were found to be fakes. I wouldn’t buy Sisley at Costco because I don’t necessarily believe them to be genuine. Just my gut feeling.
