Ok, skincare/makeup junkies who travel... I need advice. I need to get things streamlined for three night trips so I can take a carry-on instead of checking a bag. The biggest problems are oil cleanser, toner, essence, serum, and foundation. Using typical travel bottles (3 oz) would be too much and I wouldn't be able to get everything in a TSA-compliant pouch. What kind of bottles do you use for those things and where do you get them? I really don't want to skip all those steps when I travel because I am at a really good place with my skin and how it responds to my routine, and would like to keep that up. So what's tiny (1 oz or maybe even less), durable, and easy to fill?
Ooooo, please give a review on the ABH Norvina palette. I love ABH palettes, and love the look of this one, just aren't sure about the glittery shades.
It's so pretty in person! The top row is shimmery, but they're not chunky-glittery like I was afraid some were going to be. I played with it a little bit today and thought they felt good and blended nice. They are a little soft, but I don't grind my brush around so I don't expect that to be a problem. And just because I wanted to feel like a fancy YouTuber, I swatched them and took a picture for you guys 😁

Oh my! those colors looks SO pretty. I think I am going to have to see this in person, and there is a high chance it will be coming home with me!

Who knew it was so hard to take a "decent picture" of your own arm, and try to have the colors look like they truly do. Of course, I don't have any fancy ring lights or anything, LOL

I apply my It Cosmetics CC Cream, with a beauty blender. I use primer(Cover FX illuminating primer) all over, then bye bye under eye concealer, then bye bye redness cream(whenever I need it), then the cc cream all over.
Primer was trial and error for me. I tried quite a few (samples from Sephora) brands, before I found one that worked for me. I also tried several facial cleansers/exfoliators, until I found one that worked for me (Kiehls rare earth deep pore daily cleanser)

There's also several options at The Container Store : www.containerstore.com/s/travel/bottles-medication/nalgene-leakproof-travel-dropper-bottles/12d?productId=10000248

I know I would use them if I had them but I am not sure what to put in them. I need smaller containers for moisturizer, cleansing oil, and other stuff. I have a travel sized tube of It CC cream I could take. Primer is an issue. I have the tiny Porefessional one I can take. Travel size mascara, Paaaarty blush, and maybe 4-5 lipsticks. That is all I need right? oops forgot concealer. Mine is the new Too Faced one and it is heavy. I love it, though and need to take something.

I have the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial peel that I bought a few months ago. I kind of want to try it. I am nervous though. Do you like it? Does it work well? Does your skin peel a ton? Please provide as many details as you can. Thanks.

It did seem to smooth my skin some, I had no visible peeling. I want to use it again, but I'd postponed that since I was going to the beach and didn't want to have sun exposure on newly exfoliated skin. Now I'm back, though!

I am kind of scared to use it. I haven’t used Retin A in the last 2 months or more so I think it would be ok. I am just nervous.

Ok I got the Tatcha rice cleanser. It makes a mess but is very nice and my skin felt For awhile I was into dry masks that you had to add water to, that was supposedly better as it wasn't watered down, but now I never open those jars, just seems like a hassle. So I know I couldn't get into this rice polish. I do like Tatcha's Deep Cleanse cleanser and am using that right now, rotating with Tata Harper's Regenerating cleanser which is like St. Ives apricot scrub but with better ingredients. eta The quote is from this thread in 2018, how weird it changed the date.

So what's tiny (1 oz or maybe even less), durable, and easy to fill? Angie from hot and flashy has some .5 oz glass bottles in her amazon store. She uses them for her Vitamin C serum (she splits the 1oz bottle and keeps one half in the fridge until she is ready for it, so it keeps fresh). Those could work for something that is liquidy. For foundation and other more creamy things, you could get some twist off containers like an eye cream container. I have a few that I used up and washed them out to put other things in for travel. But you could probably buy them as well, or go to a Clinique counter and see if they have some. Actually, I have a ton of them and could mail some if you don't need them right away. A friend used them to make a trial size lip balm for an EO party. She had a lot and gave some to me.

Please provide as many details as you can. Thanks. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I need to use it more often. I thought that you were supposed to use AHA/BHA products on different nights as retin-A but read last night that that isn't proven. Knowing that will help me make use of my products better since I am always worried about which one I am going to use, so then I don't use either. I used the DE baby facial last night. My skin feels smoother today and not as much dry skin around my nose.

Even then I am scared. My skin was painful for about 3 weeks. I am very afraid to use anything. I will try the Babyface tonight. I did full makeup today for no reason and want to try it tonight. Wish me luck!

I like the foam the rice powder makes and I like how my skin feels and looks. I am not all that keen on the mess to get it on my face. The cleansing oil is so easy. The powder when you add water makes a mess. I think the effect. I am on the fence whether I would buy it again. I don’t have a better idea for a skin polish, though. My skin is brighter and so smooth. I just am not sure. I would love to recommend it to others but it does get all over my clothes.

I did my makeup up-thread, but we are going out for dinner soon and I want to totally change it. I used Laneige foundation but my skin is tacky. I used reliable setting powder and I have tackyish kind of skin. I am not that happy about it. I like the application method with this foundation very much. I wish it gave a bit better coverage as it is very light coverage all over. I have other ones that are better.

Yeah, this is not cool. I used a ton of powder on my skin and setting spray and when I used a white cloth napkin on my mouth a ton of foundation came off on it. Also my phone is a smeary mess. This is not looking good at all.

I have been on a bit of a beauty product binge after my Thrive purchase 🙄 and ended up down a youtube rabbit hole watching eye makeup videos... so now I feel the need to up my eye makeup game to go with my new mascara. Anyone care to share some faves... looking for an eyeshadow primer and a new under eye concealer. Never tried the primer but am going to try going back to powder shadows instead of creamy sticks. I have been using a $$ Trish McEvoy under eye product and don’t love it. Probably going to hit the Ulta close to home but have Sephora and Nordstrom not too far away also. So what would you buy 😬

After years of using Urban Decay Primer Potion, it either stopped working for me or the formulation changed. I have since switched to Too Faced Shadow Insurance and am loving it.

What do you guys think about the too faced tutti fruiti line? I am dying to see it in person! Do you have a link to any good info about it? I haven't been able to find much about it online yet. I seriously need to rein in my cosmetic shopping, but of course, Ulta's website is having a great sale today so I'm checking that out right now.

What do you guys think about the too faced tutti fruiti line? I can’t wait to see reviews of it on YouTube. I was hoping for more liquid lipsticks but all I saw were lip glosses. I did see one I will consider. Will Sephora get this collection? The blushes were just ok. Foundation I have to see a review before I buy anything. I am sick of foundations not living up to their promises.

I need some help please. My hairdresser has talked me into growing out my bangs. Well they are getting there. I want my hair to be like LisaJ on YouTube so you have an idea. They are growing but they also fall into my face. I am frustrated. What can I do to prevent this? They are getting there but is just taking forever. I want to cut them off and be done with them. They are very lightweight and curly but I am at a loss what to do. Any ideas?

Ok I got a new foundation to try. She matched me in the lightest shade. It is way too light and looks terrible. I am going to go back tomorrow and exchange it. So frustrating!!!
I got a travel sized set of deep cleanse and water cream. Yay that was a real score!!!
