What do you guys think about the too faced tutti fruiti line? I am dying to see it in person! Do you have a link to any good info about it? I haven't been able to find much about it online yet. I seriously need to rein in my cosmetic shopping, but of course, Ulta's website is having a great sale today so I'm checking that out right now. I just saw some pics online it looks awesome if I get it I’m putting it up for Christmas cause I also need to stop spending

What do you guys think about the too faced tutti fruiti line? I can’t wait to see reviews of it on YouTube. I was hoping for more liquid lipsticks but all I saw were lip glosses. I did see one I will consider. Will Sephora get this collection? The blushes were just ok. Foundation I have to see a review before I buy anything. I am sick of foundations not living up to their promises. I feel the same about foundation, the sweet peach one looked horrific on me i love lipgloss.

Foundation. Ugh. Why is this so difficult? I've posted about buying the Perricone No Foundation Foundation Serum while I was out of town and in a bind to get something light weight while we were at the beach. I forgot my foundation at home and it was almost empty anyway so....
I think the foundation feels good on my skin and the color match seems to be pretty perfect. The issue I have is that it takes too long to blend in. It also seems very streaky to me and it just does this weird thing on the pores on the tip of my nose. I've used it with and without my facial sunscreen. I've even applied the sunscreen a good 20 minutes before moving on to the foundation. I've tried w and w/out primer. I have a knock-off beauty blender I've tried to apply it with. I've used it dry and damp and get the same results. I've also just used my fingers. I know you are supposed to kind of press it in after you have applied it but it just takes way too long to get it all blended and smooth looking.
I've used the Bobbi Brown foundation stick and it is ok but I typically use that when I feel like I need more coverage. I really am just wanting something light weight but will wear well throughout the day. The Perricone seems to last at least. I just get so frustrated trying to apply it!!
Any suggestions?

Some foundations don’t work with sunscreen. It’s a thing unfortunately. You could wear a hat and get tinted windows and stay in the shade at all times. I know it’s not realistic, but even Tati doesn’t use sunscreen. I think it was her who was struggling with foundation. I showed you my powder sunscreen and that is what I use and I spend no time outside. I did get a bit of sun, though this summer I.e. from driving or walking to my car. I had to get a darker shade of foundation. I don’t have good ideas. I am sorry.

I’m really frustrated. I went to ulta the other day and looked at the Becca glow gloss Chrissy Tiegen collection. Decided I wanted two of the brew colors. They had to order one and I bought the other one in the store. After I left, I took the one out of the box and realized it was the third color (the one I didn’t want). Took it back. The girl at the register repeated which one we ordered when I was making sure I had the right one at the store. I got the one in the mail today and guess what?! It’s the color that I didn’t want! Ugh. I just checked online and it says the one I want is in stock at the local store so I hope that I can get it tomorrow.
For someone who said I needed to stop buying stuff, I sure haven’t followed that this week. Those darn ulta specials get me. On Monday or Tuesday they had 4x points and several free gifts with purchase. I got the Becca powder that everyone talks about, then a Smashbox foundation, living proof travel set, and a highlighter stick for free. I thought that was a good deal. I hope that I like the foundation. I’m still having a hard time getting my foundation to stay looking good all day.
The next day they had more sales so I got one if the mini tarte palettes and living proof shampoo and conditioner. They were all half off I believe, and I used points.

Can you tell me the email address ulta uses to send these emails please? I’m going to try adding it to my contacts listed see if I start getting emails again. Thank you!!

I just had lash extensions put on for the first time and OMG! Why didn’t I do this earlier. I LOVE THEM! My lashes are average length and thickness, and fortunately I don’t seem to be losing them any more quickly as I age, but they are very blond and need a lot of mascara to make look decent. My eyes have become so sensitive to eye make up, and I’ve tried multiple kinds of mascara that are supposed to be good for sensitive eyes, but haven’t found anything that would help make my eyes pop but not make me look like I have pink eye all day. My esthetician suggested a partial set of classic extensions to see how my eyes would tolerate the adhesive. Surprisingly they did just fine, and I love the look of them. I know I’ll have to be more careful maintaining them, and will have to get them filled every three weeks or so, but to not have to deal with mascara and the subsequent irritation will be worth it if they continue to feel and look this good .

Yeah, every three weeks is a hassle and they’re kind of pricey too, but I’m just going to have to budget for them and cut out other things. I may not darken the doorsteps of Ulta and Sephora as much anymore .

Fun fun fun!! That sounds like something I would do if money were no object.. And if there was someone on this island that I could trust to do it without giving me a raging eye infection! On a related note, did you realize that you could buy an eyelash curler that fits the shape of your eye? I had no idea!!! I have been using Revlon and more recently Tarte (and only because it has a cute mermaid tail and came with a trial size mascara). I would love to find one that really fits my eye shape to make my lashes pop. Oh, and one that doesn't make my straight lashes lose the curl within seconds would be nice too. I rarely wear makeup these days but we have a night out planned tomorrow and I plan on doing a full face. I may even brave one of the red lippies I bought recently. I have a love hate relationship with red lips.. I feel like I need to have one bc every girl needs the perfect red lip, but I lack the confidence to go out in public with it. I always do neutral or wine/brown colors because I know it works.

I did this a month ago for the first time. The first week they looked fabulous and what a nice break from having to put mascara on everyday. But week 2 they started falling out, and when one falls into your eye OMG the pain is horrible! Since it's a foreign object, its not pleasant. By week 3 they were done but I had a few still hanging on, trying to pull them out was painful so I had to just have half eyelashes. Finally week 4 they are all gone and I will never do this again because it's too expensive to keep up every 2 weeks! Back to the eyelash serum and then maybe I will try a lash lift.

Yeah, I’m happy with them now, but we’ll see how it looks in a couple of weeks. I have a coworker who maintains a full set that she doesn’t seem to have issues with, so I hope I’m that lucky with mine. I don’t know how often she has them filled though.

My right eye has just shed a whole lot of lashes and and I have a hole in the middle. A self-grown eyelash in your eye feels like sandpaper. I can’t imagine what an artificial lash would feel like. Ouch. If if they would just last longer than 2weeks. Is the glue not strong enough? Why do they shed so quickly?

Perhaps if you slept on your back all would be perfect and last longer. Also I've heard of many people developing an allergy to the eyelash glue after using it many times. I also missed wipes my eyes with my fingers and found removing eye makeup difficult.

I touch my eyes all the time, too. My bff’s socially inept daughter told me ‘You wear too much mascara. I don’t like it.’ In the history of caring what this bafoon thinks I don’t every recall wondering for a second WTF she thought about my eye makeup. ‘When I care I will let you know. Until then stfu.’ Omg I hate that child. Lol.

Does anyone else watch Angie at Hot and Flashy? She uses this tiny cordless razor and I ordered the same one! I am not sure how I feel about it. It’s not very sharp. I followed the instructions carefully (which were insert battery and turn on). I can sill pull hair on my face. I have straight razors I bout at the Japanese grocery store. I will see how I do with this but I am not sure at this point.

I went to ulta the other day and looked at the Becca glow gloss Chrissy Tiegen collection I will have to try this on at Sephora. I don't wear pink lipstick, but the lighter color looks like it might be a neutral. I wouldn’t say that any of them are pink, but the lighter one is more peachy/neutral. The other two are pretty similar but one has a shimmer to it. I really like them. They have a very subtle peppermint flavor and last decently for a gloss. They do have some other colors that aren’t in the Chrissy Tiegen collection that might work better for you.

I missed out on the highlighter stick, it was sold out by the time I went to place my order (which was only like 1:00, but I'm in mountain time zone). I got sucked in by the free duffel bag with $40 fragrance purchase too. I don't use my points often though, I let them build up until I have at least 2000. Most of the time I save them until there's a 20% everything coupon. Last one I had 4000 saved up! I wish Sephora's loyalty program was as good as Ulta's.

They lasted about 5 weeks until they all fell out, then I gave my eyelashes a couple of weeks to rest before reapplication. They looked fabulous and I really miss them. The trick is not to get them wet for the first 48 hours to let the glue set completely. And don’t wear any other eye make up - you really don’t need it if the lashes are thick and full. Taking extra eye make up off will cause them to fall out quicker. Unfortunately after two years I noticed my real eyelashes were looking sparse - and they’re light too. I’ve been using a lash serum for months and it’s finally got them back to normal. Not sure I would get extensions continuously again though. Probably just for special occasions or beach vacations.

I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes, but I thought we should start a new thread since the old one is 87 pages long. I wanted to start with a review of the It Cosmetics matte CC cream. I have used it for three days and really like it. So far it seems to last longer than the original version (on my skin). It really doesn't seem matte at all, though. I am glad it isn't super flat, but I do have quite a bit of shine or "glow" that comes through. I've also changed my skincare routine a little. I have started double cleansing. I had a small size of Josie Maran cleansing oil so I use that then follow with a liquid cleanser (either Cerave foaming cleanser or It confidence in a cleanser). At night I am using Retin-A (just started back with this after giving up my current Curology formula)--I use this every other night, Estee Lauder Advanced night repair, then I've been trying a facial oil (currently using a sample of DE marula oil) and eye cream (currently using a sample of Confidence in an eye cream). For daytime I use Maelove glow activation serum, Bye Bye Lines, Bye Bye Undereye cream. Right now I feel like I am starting to break out a little. Not sure if it is hormonal or due to the oils? We will see. So, I have huge issues with sunscreen in makeup. It makes me breakout, and burns my face. I always get a rash. It is so hard to find foundation with little to no SPF, I know I use Bare Minerals over most stuff to get the protection, but it stinks. I really want to try It, but I think it would hurt. WAAHH! SaveSaveI love It CC cream and I wouldn’t risk it.

I've been quietly reading through this thread hoping to figure out a makeup routine.
I'm completely lost as to where to begin.
I've worn makeup off and on, but I'm wanting to overhaul my look when I go back to teaching in the fall.
Anyone have any tutorials I could follow for BASIC, SIMPLE makeup that doesn't take me an hour?
Also, any suggestions for makeup that isn't going to break the bank? I will probably also need brushes/tools.
I'm Canadian-Italian. I'm pale, but not super pale. I just don't get in the sun enough to really tan, but when I do, I can get tanned. I have dark hair (that's graying, but that I die darkish reddish-brown) and brown eyes. I have a roundish face and medium/shoulder length hair.
Help???

Just a light powder over the top? Eyes? Lips? My normal makeup routine is just to wash and moisturize, sometimes sunscreen/primer if I remember, then just a translucent powder for the face, plus eyeshadow, mascara, and something on my lips. Is that too many steps, or not enough?

What do you guys think about the too faced tutti fruiti line? I am dying to see it in person! Do you have a link to any good info about it? I haven't been able to find much about it online yet. I seriously need to rein in my cosmetic shopping, but of course, Ulta's website is having a great sale today so I'm checking that out right now. Here is the link if you haven't seen it yet: Tutti Frutti I reeeeeally want the palettes; I hope Ulta gets them. Maybe some of the lip glaze although the truth is that glittery gloss just doesn't look great on me.

Is that too many steps, or not enough? I would like to include eyes and lips; but something easy and natural looking. Not sure if I need foundation or just powder. I have some red on my cheeks that I'd like to neutralize. I truly don't know what I need. Your steps sound doable. Any makeup products/brands anyone recommends is greatly appreciated.
