Most of the time I wear primer, mascara, lipstick and brow gel. Today I am wearing more but this isn’t usual.

I am dying to see it in person! Do you have a link to any good info about it? I haven't been able to find much about it online yet. I seriously need to rein in my cosmetic shopping, but of course, Ulta's website is having a great sale today so I'm checking that out right now. Here is the link if you haven't seen it yet: Tutti Frutti I reeeeeally want the palettes; I hope Ulta gets them. Maybe some of the lip glaze although the truth is that glittery gloss just doesn't look great on me. Thanks, I've seen it on Instagram and a couple articles, but the last time I went to Too Faced website that wasn't there! I read it's an Ulta exclusive, and I think it's going to release Aug 15th. I freaking love all things pineapple, I can not wait to smell this stuff. The purple palette looks so pretty. One of my local Ulta's had a Laura Geller event today that my daughter and I went to. The lady who did my makeup was super nice, but I am not a fan of the foundation. It's really hot here today, not sure if that's part of the reason, but it's so heavy, kinda oily looking. It wipes off easy too. I did get their new concealer & Nude Attitude palette and my daughter got a powder (or it might've been a powder foundation, I'm not sure) and a lipstick. Of course that meant I spent enough for 2 free gifts. I have several of their blushes, mini eyeshadow palettes & highlighters and like all of them, so I have high hopes for the new stuff.

Do you want to do a full face with foundation? Just a light powder over the top? Eyes? Lips? My normal makeup routine is just to wash and moisturize, sometimes sunscreen/primer if I remember, then just a translucent powder for the face, plus eyeshadow, mascara, and something on my lips. Is that too many steps, or not enough? I would like to include eyes and lips; but something easy and natural looking. Not sure if I need foundation or just powder. I have some red on my cheeks that I'd like to neutralize. I truly don't know what I need. Your steps sound doable. Any makeup products/brands anyone recommends is greatly appreciated. Well, if you find the answer to redness, let me know, because I have that problem, too. I think my dermatologist doesn't think it's caused by anything I can treat-- some people just have that complexion, she said. Green makeup is supposed to neutralize it, but I don't have a lot of luck with that. A couple of products that I have used that are not full-fledged foundations (because I don't have the time) are the Cotz Flawless Complexion ($23), which is basically a tinted sunscreen, and Dr. Jart+ BB Premium Beauty Balm ($39). I liked them both because their application is pretty foolproof-- the Cotz I apply like I'm putting on moisturizer. Neither really eliminates the redness, but they do kind of tone it down. For a powder, those run the gamut, pricewise. I go for a translucent powder so I don't have to color match. I've seen the Coty Airspun, ($7) showing up on a lot of beauty sites. My grandmother used to use it. It's in my amazon cart to order some time or other. I do like the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores ($24) and Kat Von D's Lock-It Setting Powder ($15-$30). Both of those are loose powders that have a little powder puff in them. I like to use the puff to dab it all over my face, with extra powder where I tend to sweat a little more... so I dab it all over and then smooth it out with a big fluffy brush. If you have a loose powder with no puff, you can use one of those beauty blender sponges. But my favorite powder was discontinued a couple of years ago and I'm still looking for a new favorite. For a natural lip, you might like Cover Girl's Oh Sugar! Tinted Lip Balm ($5 ish). It is a tinted balm with a lemony flavor. I think it is supposed to be a dupe for Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment ($24). I like the caramel color a lot. Kind of my lips but better. I don't have a great eyeshadow recommendation-- my favorites vary by the day, and my coloring is different from yours, so I'm not familiar with what colors might work well for you. But for mascara, I like Make Up For Ever's Excessive Lash ($25) But all I use mascara for is to make my lashes show up. LOL.

Have you tried the Bye Bye Pores in the pressed powder compact? There was a sample of it in one of the subscription boxes a while back and I was kinda surprised that I liked it. I'm not a big fan of It products, they just don't seem to work for me that well. The Miracle Water made me break out and I don't have much luck with the CC+ cream either. I like Dermablend loose powder (picked it up on sale during the 21 days of beauty to try), and Laura Mercier is great for setting under eyes. Becca Hydra Mist is nice as face powder, but don't use it to set under eyes, it'll show you lines you didn't know you had! I got Becca Skin Love foundation (in porcelain) the other day. I've only worn it once so far, but I liked it that day. I watched reviews last night about it, and they weren't very good. I doubt I'd have bought it if I'd watched them first, but I'm kinda glad I didn't since the first try was good. Hopefully I like it when I try it again. I also got the mini bottle of Benefit Happy Blur (I think that's what it's called), but haven't tried it yet. I'm going to find the perfect foundation someday, I swear!!

I like how the formula feels (and I was surprised by that, too!), but for some reason the pressed one smells weird to me. But I also feel like it takes me longer to get enough powder on my face when I'm using a pressed compact. (Even though my fave powder was the BareMinerals Ready mineral veil compact.) Anyway, the compacts are fine in the winter, and I prefer to take a pressed compact when I'm traveling (because the loose powder lids sometimes get loose), but this summer has been so. humid. that I have switched over to loose powder again to try to keep my face dry.

I have been using my SkinMedica Vitamin C+E serum and it just hurts my face. I think I need to give up on it. It stings (beyond a prickling sensation). I want to use something but this isn’t happening any longer. Anyone have any good ideas?

I’m really frustrated. I went to ulta the other day and looked at the Becca glow gloss Chrissy Tiegen collection. Decided I wanted two of the brew colors. They had to order one and I bought the other one in the store. After I left, I took the one out of the box and realized it was the third color (the one I didn’t want). Took it back. The girl at the register repeated which one we ordered when I was making sure I had the right one at the store. I got the one in the mail today and guess what?! It’s the color that I didn’t want! Ugh. I just checked online and it says the one I want is in stock at the local store so I hope that I can get it tomorrow. For someone who said I needed to stop buying stuff, I sure haven’t followed that this week. Those darn ulta specials get me. On Monday or Tuesday they had 4x points and several free gifts with purchase. I got the Becca powder that everyone talks about, then a Smashbox foundation, living proof travel set, and a highlighter stick for free. I thought that was a good deal. I hope that I like the foundation. I’m still having a hard time getting my foundation to stay looking good all day. The next day they had more sales so I got one if the mini tarte palettes and living proof shampoo and conditioner. They were all half off I believe, and I used points. I’m a big dummy and accidentally unsubscribed from ulta emails. I use hotmail and can’t undo this. Ulta won’t let me resubscribe using the same address. Can you tell me the email address ulta uses to send these emails please? I’m going to try adding it to my contacts listed see if I start getting emails again. Thank you!! Please let me know if you figure it out. I have Hotmail, too. I haven’t been able to get Ulta emails for awhile now even though I have them on my safe lists and they are not blocked.

Has anyone used Stila One Step Correct primer to even out skin tone? I watched a YouTuber who recommended it, but I’m skeptical ...

After about 8 months of trying multiple brands of foundation, I think I’m going back to the IT CC Cream. It just covers the way I want it to, and lasts the way I need it to through my ten+ hour shifts. And it has the built in mineral SPF I want, though I’m trying out the Australian Gold SPF 50 under it as a primer as well (a Hot and Flashy tip!). My biggest beef with the IT line is the limited amount of shades, but otherwise it’s the best one for my skin.

I needed an eye cream I had a sample of TNS Eye Repair by SkinMedica and I am a sheep and believe if I don’t use it I am I am causing irreparable damage to my under eye are. The doctor who sells it uses it herself and her skin is as perfect as my 22 year old’s is and she’s pushing 65 I would think.

I used to have a redness problem too but once I started washing my face with Dr. Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk (it's a cleanser) all of the redness went away and I was left with an even skin tone. I have dry skin and that's the product that was selected for me when I went to the Dr. Hauschka website and put in that I had dry, sensitive skin. I pay $29.25 for it on a website pharmaca.com that sells the Dr. Hauschka products at 25% off for a 4.9 oz. glass bottle that lasts a long time. I really like this product because it's so moisturizing, gentle and smells nice. I've been using it for the past few years and will continue to do so. I also use Dr. H's Regenerating Day Cream. This works amazingly well and I use it also as an eye cream.

I love all of the It cosmetics powders, but lately am loving the CC+ pressed powder. Especially for touch ups through the day since it has a little coverage.
I have posted on other threads that I do Trim Healthy Mama. They have some skin care items in their online store and there is a new one called The Fountain that people were raving about. I bought it and have been using it for a week. Between that and the oil cleansing, I have noticed a dramatic difference in the amount of redness in my skin.
I got a free bottle of Smashbox foundation the other day. Used it today and yesterday and like how well it lasts so far. Stays on my nose better than most.
Still liking my Mae Love glowmaker serum.
I got a new small Tarte palette in the mail today. Can't remember what it is called but will try it tomorrow. Same with my new Curology formula (now without azaleic acid).

I like Dr. Hauschka products because they use natural ingredients and the smell of this is very light. I just looked up this product on the Dr. Hauschka and the fragrance in this product is made from natural essential oils. If you go to their website you can read a lot more about the products and take a quiz that will point you towards what products are best for your skin.

I’ve been continuing to throw money at Ulta and Sephora like it’s going out of style. :/ on the plus side, I feel like I’ve finally found “my” products and now can just maintain what I have - and of course try out some new things here and there!
I found a foundation that looks better on me than the It cc+ cream- too faced peach perfect matte foundation! I also watched about a million you tube reviews and people love it! It isn’t really matte on my skin, but it has a really pretty glow to it and just looks really nice and lasts all day. The cc coloring was a bit off On me I think and definitely didn’t have the pretty glow look.
Also- primers. I found a bunch I am loving. Still enjoy stay matte rimmel primer to eliminate oil all day. Also loving Hourglass mineral veil and it’s dupe, nyx angle veil look amazeballs on me and are the only ones I’ve tried that actually blur my pores and some lines. Really impressed by both! They also do great with the oil. Also enjoying tarte blur primer in the jar. The blurring action has really improved my foundation and overall look.
I have thick eyebrows but just recently they are getting a bit sparse toward the middle by my nose so I picked up Anastastia Beverly Hills brow definer and it’s perfect! Not brow wiz with the point - but definer which is good because the brow wiz is always sold out!
Also like the peach perfection finishing powder by too faced -you get quite a bit and it sets well with the foundation. I think I like it more than the It powder.
And for my eyes I am really liking it cosmetics bye bye eye cream - it’s very thick and just feels good for nighttime and in the morning I think it is more noticeable than any other eye cream I’ve used. I don’t have dark circles though. Just fine lines and slight puffiness.

It’s not in stores until 8/28 so I can’t touch until then! I am done ordering online at ulta. My last three orders were screwed up by them. The last one came with broken shadows. Hope you have better luck!

Hope you have better luck! That's a super bummer. Yeah, shimmers are hit and miss for me-- some look really lovely on, but some just make my eyelids look kind of crepey. And there appears to be at least one SUPER glittery shade in each one, which is probably not gonna work for me. But the mattes in both palettes look nice and I figured that some companies charge that much for an eye duo, so if I got two good shadows in each palette, I was going to call it worthwhile.

I caved last month and decided to try Sephora Play. My first box arrived yesterday and I am rather pleased with it.
NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base : I haven't tried this eye primer, so I am looking forward to seeing how it holds up.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in a rosewood color : I quite like this color on, thought it looks darker on that it looks in the tube.
Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer - natural bronze : I have been using the Physicians formula butter bronzer with I like a lot, but I am excited to try this one.
Drybar Southern Belle S/C : A volumizing S/C, I can use all the hair volume I can get, so I am excited to try this one.
Morrocanoil Dry Texture Spray : Looks interesting.
Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream : I really like this cream, it is quite hydrating, and feels nice on. I can't see myself actually buying the full size though, as it is $72 for 50g!

That bronzer is one of my favorites! Not too dark, not too orange.

I am having an issue with my foundation sitting in my pores on my nose. It looks great when I first apply foundation but it turns into white dots on my nose after a few hours. I do use a Smashbox primer and have tried a variety of foundations. I just ordered Pores No More from an earlier post based on a pea's comment about it being her favorite primer.
I am about ready to go back to Bare Essentials mineral veil powder foundation as I do not need a lot of coverage and it never sank into my pores.

Product NON-Recomensation: I have been using Sunday Riley Luna face oil at night. While I do love how it makes my face feel at night + when I wake up, the smell is horrible! For the money, you can find another one that doesn't smell this bad.

That *is* good news! For me, Ulta gives way better rewards for my spending. Then add double, triple, etc points and if I can get the same item at Ulta I am going to Ulta. Maybe I will buy more from Sephora now.
