I’m such a nerd....I looooove gift giving!! What are you excited to give this year?
19yo dd and her boyfriend play a lot of board games. They always joke that having to share the red token is the only problem in their relationship.....so I bought a variety pack of vintage board game tokens and painted them all red. Now they can both be the red player....lol

That's funny! I got my oldest tickets to see Michael Buble in concert next year, and wrapped them with his latest CD. She's going to be happy!

My BFF is a huge University of GA football fan. I bought her a jewelry box that plays their fight song - I can’t wait to give it to her.

I have no real surprises to give but my mom's birthday is right after New Year. I came into some money she doesn't know about and I put $1000 in her birthday present. Knowing her I actually think she will get a bit flustered and maybe even upset, but I don't care. I want to share a bit of my good fortune with her. She'll get over it.
Other than that I think the keyboard I got for my DS' fiancee will surprise her. She won't expect that from me.

I'm most excited to give my husband his gift. He's my hardest to buy for and he's going to be blown away by this one. I'm also really happy about my MIL's gift. I watched her dither over buying it before deciding it was too pricey. I know she'll love it and I love her enough to get it for her.

My DD25 loves to travel. I found a place online called Travellers Collective and they have small charms with country codes that you put on a necklace.
Inexpensive, conversation piece and she can add to it.

Okay, gonna sound weird, but "Santa" is bringing the two youngest Stink Bombz plush.
Mom would never, ever buy these because she is appalled by all the toilet humor toys and games out on the market.
But Santa decided that they should get the toy farts anyway.

My son is driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup. The stereo needs a cassette that you push in and plug in to your phone to play music. We got him a new Bluetooth stereo to put in the truck. He hasn’t asked for one but he LOVES to listen to music and I think it will make his driving much more fun for him!
We go away for Christmas so we usually do excursions as gifts so it is harder to surprise him.

We got my son tickets to see Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal (the original stars of Rent) in concert. This won't be quite as epic as the Hamilton year but I think it will be close.

My DS dropped large hints about a set of The Walking Dead DVDs, so he knows that`s his present. The extra surprise I got him is an all singing all dancing sleeping bag for when he goes to Paintballing weekends. It can be used as a blanket as well so good for all year use. Cost over my budget...but he`s worth it.

I am giving my daughter a trip in NYC with her theater group. She originally couldn't go and some one dropped out so I emailed her boss, she has a job at a local theatre starting in Feb.. and he said he would work around her!! She will be so excited.
I have bought her a few NYC themed things so she can guess what her gift is.. NYC PJ's and a Ticket to Ride NYC version, and a journal and Christmas ornament. I know she will be thrilled!!

But Santa decided that they should get the toy farts anyway. Santa always brings the good gifts that mom and dad say they can’t afford or won’t buy, LOL. When DD was three, she really, really, REALLY wanted the Lightning McQueen race car train table from Costco but it was $150. Every time we went to the store she would look longingly at it and we would tell her it was too much money. “Santa” got it for her using our Costco rebate right before it sold out. The look on her face on Christmas morning was priceless and she played with that thing for the longest time! I love the magic of Christmas.

I'm excited to give my 4 year old grandson Lion Guard The Rise of Scar Playset. It's not sold in stores here, I found it on Amazon in October and grabbed it for $59.99, it's now $110. He is going to be so happy!

My sister texted me last week with a picture of a candle and asked if I could get the scent for her in tarts/melts. Turns out it was a 2017 limited edition. Looked online and found nothing. So I texted her back and said not to get her hopes up.
She said she would go back to Marshall's and get the jar she saw, she just wanted the tarts so she didn't have to light the candle. And I know they have those candle warmers that are like a mug warmer, but it takes forever to melt a large jar.
So I tracked down a lamp that melts a jar candle from the top down. And I found TWO of candles at my Marshall's.
I think I might also get a timer for her to plug it into, but I'm excited to give her the lamp.

I’m not real excited this year over gifts. My kids both need/want new phones and as young adults we ( Ex & I ) aren’t going to just provide them. Actually they have always gotten new phones as gifts growing up as well. So they are both getting money for phones. DD needs to buy hers from someplace not connected with a cel service carrier because of her intent to Hoover seas.
So gifts are kind if just blah this year. I’m looking forward to other traditions like going out to see Christmas lights and things like that!

Every summer we take our grands to Destin for a week. Last summer DGD15 bought a heart shaped leather guitar pick case from the gift shop at Lulu’s restaurant after dinner one night. Of course, the next day she lost it. We went back to Lulu’s to get another one the next day, and of course, they were sold out. She was so disappointed!
The cases are hand made in North Carolina and I was in contact with Lulu’s once a week from June until November when they finally got more in and the manager of the gift shop was kind enough to mail a replacement to me.
Can’t wait to surprise her with this $5 gift!!!

Every year each niece/nephew and their spouse (two of five are married) get an ornament. The one I am most excited to give is to my oldest niece. I usually ask her for an idea or two. This year she said "surprise me". So I got to thinking about how when she was little she was my side kick and how whenever we went to the mall, she had to have a soft pretzel. So I found the PERFECT pretzel on Etsy. It's on a wire that is wrapped around a piece of sea glass! Can't wait till she opens it.

I am giving my daughter a weighted blanket as well. She has MDD and anxiety and has mentioned several times that she wanted to buy herself one. My husband also has depression so I expect he will like it and I'll buy another one for him after Christmas.
Otherwise gifts are things I know they'll love but wouldn't buy for themselves. I listen and make notes throughout the year of things they like and wan. Dr. Martens Chelsae boots for my daughter. A small fortune in Lush products/gift sets for daughter, future DIL, and nieces. Wireless Bluetooth earbuds for my son and fiance. Keyless garage entry for son's house. Cute TeeHee sock sets for the girls. Daughter, son and his fiance are getting several gift cards to favorite things - Nintendo, favorite restaurants, Starbucks, JoAnns, Amazon.

The thing I’m most excited to give is for my friend I work for. I got her a hydro flask. I asked a friend to make vinyl lettering that says “here we grow”. She loves to say it and hashtag #herewegrow. Her website colors are gold and white. I got it in white and the lettering is gold glitter. I think she’ll love it.

My oldest wanted a $350 Lego set, beyond my budget and his grandparents' budget who would usually one up me. A Christmas bonus added to our budget and that set is hiding behind DH's chair. The kid won't look back there so it's safe until Christmas.
DH likes original Star Trek show. I found a Spock figure I think he'll at least get a laugh out of.

We are travelling to Orlando with a Caribbean cruise in June next year. We are taking dd's boyfriend (17) with us. He knows he's going but I had put together a pack a travel stuff including a beautiful travel wallet which I was going to pull copies of the tickets, information on what we were doing, hotels we were staying at etc. I was really looking forward to giving that. And then I found out last night that his Dad has got him the same thing. (minus the information) So now I have to come up with something else.

I got Jim Jefferies tickets for my DH. He will be so excited!!! I can't wait to give them to him.
ETA I almost forgot. Friends of ours recently bought a beach house. I ordered a personalized frame from Etsy and am putting a picture of them on the porch with their whole family in it. I think they will love it.
