lainey - LOVE it! But blimey, it didn't take you long. I would have been sweating over that for ages. The geese were paper pieced and I set up a little production line for them, it really sped up the process. The borders I sweated over a bit I had fabric cutting anxiety but decided to just go for it.

I finished up the last of the centre flowers for my hexie quilt... now I’m stitching 18 hexies around each flower to make a diamond-shaped block.

ashley wow, what wonderful work. What final size are you aiming for? I’m not sure but I think something between single and double sized? It’s hard to estimate because the blocks are odd shaped.

I finished my version of the Attic24 Cosy Stripe blanket this week. It's big! How bright and cheerful! I would never know how to use these though. Would that be for a bedspread, or a lap blanket, or what? I wouldn't use anything like that, which kills me because I want to make one. They're so lovely.

I used to knit loads of jumpers and cardigans but the end results were always disappointing - baggy cuffs or welts or whatever and it was money wasted in the end

But the making is the fun part for me. It's as big as a queen comforter so sometimes I'll fold it at the foot of my bed. Last night I wrapped up with it and my dog on the couch. I might drape it over a chair or the banister. And eventually my kids will donate it to Goodwill haha.

flute4peace - I love all your hats!! I have made a few hats and was trying to thing of the best way to store them. How do you store yours? I want them in the coat closet so they are near the coats and ready to go but just can't decide what is the best way. You are so talented! ashley - that Hexie quilt is amazing!! I know it take a lot of patience to make something like that - I can't wait to see it when it is all finished. finsup - Your cozy blanket is fantastic - I know it is warm and comfy. I often see a lot of people start them but I seldom see a finished one...very nice! I am working on another Spider-man blanket. I am hoping to finish it before Jan. 30th because the (just turned) 7 year old that I am making it for goes in the hospital for his 2nd round of chemo that week and I want to get it to him before then. It's coming along fairly well. I think I will have one more round of red, 2 more of blue and then another of red (which is what I did on the last one I made).

finsup it looks so pretty! RedSquirrelUK and gar I never have trouble with uses for my blankets. First, it takes me a long time to even make them so there's that. Second, I love a cozy Afghan and I don't feel properly tucked in bed without one. My kids (4 out of 5) feel the same way. So someone always seems to be in need of a new one. And my family is just knocking at my door wanting them. So honestly I have more people in my life wanting a blanket than I can even keep up with.

UK crafters, just a heads up. Saw in the Aldi weekly hand out that they have knitting and craft items for sale on the third of February. No info on the website yet.

I've almost finished crocheting a slipper sock! Forgive my excitement, but I've frogged 3 other attempts at 2 other patterns that didn't give measurements or stitches at each stage. This one does. I just have to sew it together, and then - probably the most challenging part - make another the same. Haha!

Bought a new (mini) fridge/freezer so made some clay food bits `n` bobs for it and bought a few packets as well. The second pic shows a little coffee table and cork coasters I made. Started to add things to my mini homes that we use ourselves, like the packets of food. Can`t find a jar of Marmite anywhere though.

My friend sent me 3 Dragonfly broaches to alter. (They were a bit on the gaudy side) I removed the stones and altered using one of my favourite paint mediums. Pebeo Prisme Paints, also other stuff such as acrylic paints, crackle medium, silk fabric etc.
