I just remembered another one, the woman who asked if dogs had hearts. I don’t know who it was but she was dog piled on asking that question pretty damn quickly!

I remember lots of these. Fun times. Thanks for the memories!
I was mostly a lurker in those days because it felt to me like the hand slapping was a bit over the top. It seemed like you could state an opinion about the simplest thing and someone would come back immediately with a negative comment. Lots of drama so I just kept to myself.

That reminded me of the time that due to some glitch, some people were able to see the GG discussion board. Does anyone remember that? Yep, that was them talking about Sasha and I. My main beef at the time was there were all these Princess GGs, and they were never involved on the boards. Anywhere. Scrapbooking, nsbr, anywhere. So how did they get to be GGs? it just seemed like this big Princess clique. The other beef was the GGs doing these grand LOs, and all the supplies they used, but none of the supplies were available to buy on 2Ps, they were sold out. The GGs didn't like that, and called us all sorts of nasty names.

Mrs. Smarty Pants did a weekly sum up of what happened on two peas. I.e. this week a dog stole baby Jesus from a manger and a pea was seen yelling bring back the Saviour. Another pea was livid that she punched a wall because she didn’t get her turkey dinner as she was promised. Another pea had a blizzard and needed cash and gas. Another pea hand an inconsiderate MIL and wanted a recently reupholstered chair returned to her. This was my favourite part of the week. Anyone else remember this?

This is sooo cool! I was mostly a lurker on 2peas, but I read it all the time! LOL Today I googled "Burning Feathers Italian Beef" and this board came up!! I miss 2 peas!! I didn't realize this board was here! lol
My favorite threads were the stolen Baby Jesus, the crazy Thanksgiving Turkey lady, merkins, msp and of course the diva cup pictures! LOL But more than anything, I loved the community. How everyone came together (sometimes) when a member needed them!

I have a really random memory of a pea who lost her shit over Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I know someone, somehow disparaged the show, and this chick went a little crazy. And then hair flipped off the board. I remember reading the whole long thread, wondering what was wrong with me that I’ve never felt that strongly about something. So random to attack other people for not understanding and worshipping the Slayer that is Buffy. Cracks me up anytime I remember it.

ah, when auntkelly said dinner it reminded me that one pea wrote this really long story about only having a can of "something" for christmas dinner with her daughter. (It was something odd like anchovies maybe? I have a terrible memory! Peas would be too obvious) It was a sweet story. I think they carried on the tradition after they could afford more than the can of whatever the following year. Anyone? Bueller ?? I remember that she was a single mom who worked at McDonald's and was having a difficult time financially. I think it was mushrooms that they ate in an elegant manner, accompanied by kool aid while they watched a Disney video together. It was indeed a very sweet story. Yup, mushrooms. Ate them with fancy little forks, if I recall. Maybe with butter melted over candlelight? What I love about that story is how the daughter, years later, told her mom that all she remembered was how cool and special that dinner was-- not that dinner was just mushrooms or that they were in dire financial straits.

Wasn't there a pea who threw her dog in the trash after it died? Yup. Tossed it in the Kirby. I still tell my (grown) kids to shape up or I’ll toss em in the Kirby lickity spit. I remember a Pea who’s ex DH was giving her a hard time about something and a ton of Peas mailed him ugly ties anonymously. I can’t remember details but it stuck with me for some reason.

silverdolphin, mentioned above, also had a deep hatred of public schools and teachers. As I recall, her kids were homeschooled - including the 14-year-old pregnant daughter.
I came over from scrapjazz after being warned about "the veggie site" there. But I honestly don't remember a lot of the extreme drama people mention. I either showed up just after that or wasn't involved in those threads. I lurked a lot.
I remember a long fight about LDS baptism for the dead. And a hilarious thread about Catholic vs. Mormon kitsch. I remember the dog that stole baby Jesus and the lady who didn't get her turkey.

I don’t think you could see the whole post, but someone figured out you could see the poster and the first 150 characters, or something like that, if you did a search on the site. I confess... the first thing I did when I became a GG was to search that private board for the old threads. You can’t take the NSBR out of this girl.

I have a lot of little mini-controversies that I remember due to being, what I felt at the time, ripped on unfairly. Actually, I still think they were pretty much unfair, but with time, I can see my own role in them to some extent.
One random thing that always sticks with me was that there was a discussion somewhere along the way about leaving kids in cars, and it got pretty heated. I had toddlers at the time, and I am a little more laid back than some, but I understood almost everyone's point. However, there was one pea (I really can't remember who it was, but it was someone I had liked before this discussion) who said she would NEVER leave kids in a car in a car seat while pumping gas. Like we were suppose to take a couple kids out of car seats, bring them into a busy parking lot with gas, in -20 conditions? It just always stuck with me because I just couldn't believe this person was serious. (sorry if "you" are that pea---glad it was you and not me doing that)
I remember the first online political debates I ever witnessed were on 2peas post 9/11/early Iraq. i remember when the board was much more conservative and there were some really outspoken military wives on the board.
I remember the Pub board and all the alters on there, but I also remember the first "bad blog" came from that board (before the Meat blog I believe) and it was mostly formed to rip on published and wannabes. I remember some pretty heated debates about what should be published in magazines. There were those who thought the magazines were too unrealistic.
I remember Kimberly Dobbs too. She was an unusual one.
I remember a couple unusual homeschooling moms too.

Does anyone remember a post about Baby Jesus -- or was it angels? -- hanging up on a bulletin board? And then someone put that as their tagline? Oh! Cara in TX used it. She's not here anymore, is she? I wonder what happened to her. Lisa

So much to remember! I joined in 2004 and didn't like the pile-on threads. Seemed like quite a few Peas had time, energy and hatred to jump on someone for the most inane thing. Scared me off a few times, as did the "blog". If you visited it, you'd occasionally see your name in there, written with hateful facts. Ugh.
I remember the scams, the gates (Promgate was a huge one). The Sydney scam really threw me because I bought it!
I remember the naughty threads late at night. I was going through a divorce, so I was willing to participate in them....... I was one of the few that created the $ex thread rules. I had hundreds of Peas writing to me for weeks, asking me questions! LOL.
I learned a lot about LDS people. I learned a lot about moms of kids in wars. I was here for some of our beloved Peas passing away (I met one of them).
The BEST thing was that you could write a post and it could be on page 2 within 3 minutes--that's how busy it was! Anything you wanted to know could be answered quicker than you could Google it!!! Incredible!

I think her name was Kerri West and she was building the most beautiful house! And there was a big rigmarole over someones child who sprayed a couch with Lysol. I came from Dmarie too! I too remember Kerri West & her beautiful home. She lives here in Texas close by me & she was blasted for having such a nice home. I learned from that post that I would never tell y’all about my newly built home because I didn’t want to be blasted like she was. I also remember Nurse Kitty & all the great hair flips Two Peas had! delila Ah yes, Nurse Kitty. The one person who said something so mean to me I was shocked. Remember the threads that said *Say something nice about the person that posted above you*? I enjoyed watching Kerri West's house being built. Her scrap room was to die for! I remember Sydney-gate ~ what drama! Fun times. But for as awful as it could be, remember how panicked/sad/lost we were when it was shut down?

Cara in Texas had two sons. One with learning issues. I think she went back to school to learn ASL and got too busy for TwoPeas.
