Switzerland is beautiful. So many beautiful views of the mountains, from all sides! Non elimination round. Nicole & Victor have to do a speed bump next week.

Switzerland IS beautiful! Could have done without the Big Brother style drama. Did anyone see the preview for next week? Is karma coming?

Rachel MUST go. I can't stand her. And all that Big Brother melodrama, on the mat with Phil there even. ugh

Switzerland is so beautiful!! I am glad they all got to experience that and I was so amazed at Nichole for going through with that jump - I am not sure I could have done that!! I think the other teams have it out for the Rachel and Elissa - especially now. I can understand why. The look on Rachel and Elissa's faces were priceless when they found out that Nichole and Victor were not eliminated! They looked ticked! I know they are just worried now since Nichole & Victor are still in the game and most likely will do what is needed to get rid of the Reilly sisters.

jubejubes and disneypal, no need to use the spoiler box in this thread once the episode has aired. There have been, what, 3 non-elimination episodes so far, right? Not that I'm complaining, I love Victor and Nicole so I was glad when Phil said it. I like Victor's attitude about I'm not getting into Rachel's bullshit. We were in Switzerland in 2003 and loved the country ~ so beautiful! I loved all the challenges and love that Corey and Tyler came in first again. Corey flirting this Sebastian was hilarious.

Rachel and her sisters face at the end! Oh my they were ticked! Loved how victor called them out and wouldn’t fake being nice to them like his gf did. I’m just glad they weren’t eliminated because I like them. I pretty much like everyone except for the sisters and the afghans (mostly for lying to everyone).

I loved this leg of the race, Switzerland was so gorgeous! Next time I'm in Bavaria, Germany I'm going to have to add it to my trip. The Alps were stunning. Did anyone hear Rachel's question-I think it was to the helicopter pilot-"Are there still Alps when the snow melts?" Oh my.
I couldn't stand her and her sister manipulating Victor and Nicole on the train-luckily Victor saw right through it, and Rachel and Elissa dug themselves a hole. Next week on the previews it says that the U-turn will be a different one. All teams will vote on who will be U-turned. That sounds so cool-I hope everyone will vote for Rachel and Elissa simply because they are so hated, but I think it will probably make more sense for them to vote for the strongest team who they were saying last night was Christine and Colin-is that his name-the couple that came back after so many years.
Speaking of which I hated it when Christine said she was wearing (her necklace) a tooth of a jaguar (I think it was a jaguar-it was some kind of big cat) for luck when she was getting ready to leave the African country they were in. No! Every time you buy a body part of a large wild animal like that you encourage that type of big game hunting. I really lost respect for her after that although I shouldn't-she probably doesn't have any idea.
I loved Corey flirting with Sebastian-he was hilarious! I have always loved this team of Corey and Tyler because they don't yell at each other or say nasty things to each other-they really try to have fun on the race.
I was happy that Nicole was able to do the jump and swing over the gorge. Poor girl-everything on this leg had to do with heights in some way. I like this team too very much and I'm so glad they didn't get eliminated. Hopefully they can get through the speed bump quickly next week.

I couldn't believe it was another nonelimination leg, but very happy Victor and Nicole are still in it. Victor is truly a gem. I hate, hate, hate that Rachel has bragging rights about the most legs for a female and let's be really clear here IT DOES NOT MAKE HER ONE OF THE BEST RACERS EVER!!!!!! OR A FAN FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!! Please, santaganstagod, let them be eliminated next week. The only thing I like about Rachel's bragging and nastiness is Elissa calling her out on it. One of my favorite scenes was Chris carrying Bret's backpack. I loved that Tyler and Korey trained for the race by running with weighted packs.

He is so good for Nicole. It seemed so easy for him to get the sisters double talking on the train, proving that they were lying about at least part of their story. Loved his rolling his eyes when they were talking so fake nice at the mat before it was announced that it was a non elimination leg. Almost as much as I loved the frozen looks on their faces when the announcement was made. I hope those sisters are voted to be U-turned, and that they don't just fly through both of their road blocks. CBS keeps bringing them back, so they must think the drama boosts ratings. So who knows what those tasks may be?

I love Victor and Nicole so I was glad when Phil said it. I was too! I liked Victor okay on BB, but I just adore him now. He is so sweet with Nichole and just seems like a great guy. I am glad that Colin has learned to mellow since he was on TAR the first time but sometimes he is a little too mellow and everything is so "zen" - but compared to his hot-headedness the first time he was on, so, so much better...I'm glad he has found peace in his life. I liked seeing Phil hanging on the cliff and such - I wonder if he ever does any of those things when he is there, like jumping into that gorge and things like that. I would think that sometimes watching the others do stuff like that might make he want to do it. I love how so many of the players just seemed to love this week - saying it is the best day of their lives!

I remember hearing in the early days of the show that Phil runs every leg of the race as well before the others do. His transportation is probably much easier though, but Ive heard he does all the stunts, or at least he used to

Switzerland was just BEAUTIFUL!! The water down challenge looked fun!
I am more of a Victor fan than a Nicole fan. I can't believe I forgot how annoying Rachel is but I love that Elissa knocks her down a bit.
Does anyone listen to Phil's podcast? It's called BuckIt and he's had some really interesting guests including Leo & Jamal.

Victor and Nicole have a podcast, too. It’s called Coco Caliente and they’ve had some of the Amazing Race teams on. I didn’t like him AT ALL on BB, but love the two of them together. I follow them on Instagram and they are perfect for each other.
When Rachel “reminded” Nicole that “her brand was watching” ticked me off. She’s such a manipulator. Did you see at the end where she and Elisa were both being interviewed and talking over each other and Rachel told Elisa to stop interrupting her? She’s lucky she didn’t get punched in the mouth! lol

That always gets to me too, these zen people who claim to be "at one with the universe", then support hunting/poaching. I'd be close to 100% sure that jaguar did not die of natural causes. Made me feel sick seeing her wearing it around her neck. It also bugs me that Rachel who has cried, trantrumed & whined her way through 3 seasons now potentially gets the recognition of being the person who has completed the most legs of the race. I loved that Tyler and Korey trained for the race by running with weighted packs. Yes, you'd think more teams would take it more seriously. Like Brett and Chris, you'd think they'd do some serious training and lose some weight before going on the show, I know I would. Big/hefty guys never do well, because they are so many physical challenges where being fitter can be a real advantage, and that's before all the running and climbing they do. If you want to win then you have to put in some training & hard work before you get there. Like driving...I'd get myself and manual car and drive it everywhere as soon as I found out I was going to be on.

Yes about the manual car! omg...after all these seasons you'd think the contestants would know that. Same as the people who go on Survivor and can't swim. And learning to drive a manual car is easier than learning to swim. (in my opinion, and yes I can swim ) My daughter and a long-time friend always say that one day they're going to be on Amazing Race and that they'll make the perfect team... friend can drive manual, both will eat anything, dd is a dancer, friend speaks Spanish, dd speaks French (neither fluently, but enough that they could easily brush up for a few months before leaving), friend is musically inclined (plus dd has her dancer rhythm)... lol.

I think I remember at least one time when one of the team members could drive a manual, but when it came time to do the task that required it, the other team member had to do it for whatever reason (sometimes they have a certain number that each has to do, or if one member did the last task the other has to do the next one sometimes). I think they should both know how. And what about the people who put regular gas in a diesel car or something? I remember that happening several times. eta: i don't know how to swim but I've been able to drive a manual since shortly after getting my license.

Well dd can learn! And even if you can't swim right now wouldn't you realize that you should learn how before you went off to be a contestant on a reality show that takes place on an island surrounded by water?? lol

Well dd can learn! And even if you can't swim right now wouldn't you realize that you should learn how before you went off to be a contestant on a reality show that takes place on an island surrounded by water?? lol I agree with all of you too. It happens every season on The Amazing Race where one team has someone (or both) who can't or has trouble driving a manual car. I don't get it either. One time I heard someone say that the team member took one lesson on a manual car-one lesson?! That's not enough! I've known how to drive a manual car since before I got my license-mostly because my father insisted that all of his children learn and I was grateful for that. I still drive a manual car today because I prefer to. But my point is if I didn't know how and I was applying to The Amazing Race I'd take lessons until I was very proficient before I put my application in-just in case they called me right away-and make sure my partner did too. Swimming-same thing-even on the Amazing Race, because swimming challenge come up too. I remember one season there was a challenge off a boat in the open sea collecting shells and opening them for pearls. The shells were attached to a line under the water and the racers had snorkel gear on-had to jump in the water from the boat. One team was a pair of doctors who were African American-2 men. Neither one could swim very well and both were afraid to get in the water-one more than the other-that one was petrified because although they did take a swim lesson it was in a pool and it was only one lesson I think. Again, this could have happened to anyone who didn't know how to swim and only took one lesson. It takes more than one lesson when you don't know a skill-be it driving or swimming. Another season the task was to drive a manual car backwards through a scenic snow filled "forest" that was designed and made up within a huge building. One team couldn't drive their manual car enough to even get to the place much less preform the task. They had to take a 2 hour penalty for that one.

Yeah, with my lack of swimming ability I wouldn't bother to apply for any reality show. 😅 I'm totally not an outdoorsy person anyway.
