The Buddha is in the wash. He will be blocked tonight. Yay! Yay! Can't wait to see it! kellyr21 - thank you for your kind comment on my baby coat.

Just made myself a mini hand sewn tote bag to use when in my wheelchair. It is lined Hessian with magnetic closure and a pocket on the front. Flower is also hessian. Cut the size of bag and handle down to make it easier to keep hold of but still have plenty of room for stuff. The second pic is of two mini shabby chic style painted beds and new bedding.

I made a quilt using selvage I’ve accumulated over the years. Selvage are the edge of the fabric with the manufacturer information, etc. that you usually cut off and throw away. Oh goodness - this is absolutely fabulous! Do now wish I had saved those selvages that were always the first piece in the rubbish! ETA: I have been busy sorting card and paper and have begun making Christmas cards for the card swap.

A question for knitters: I'm looking for circular knitting needles with sharp, pointy tips. Any recommendations?

I decided I wasn't letting the thumb hold me back. I'm three rows to done. My sister invited me over but it is like a good book you don't want to put down. I told her I wanted to finish but thanks for the invite. She didn't reply so I'm thinking she is not happy about my response. Non-crafters just don't get it. Your Buddha shawl is amazing. But you clearly need lessons in how to talk to non-crafters. Never say, “No thanks, I’d rather stay home and craft.” They don’t like that and then they grumble. Instead, say, “I’m so sorry but I just have too much going on today. Catch you next time!” or if need be, “ugh, my stomach is really bothering me today. Sorry!” I know it’s particularly difficult when it’s a sister, because they know just how busy (or not) you really are, and whether you’re actually prone to stomach trouble (or not). But you need to practice. Otherwise they start muttering amongst themselves about how there’s something wrong with you. Ask me how I know.

My rainbow ripple afghan is finished...and I'm a little sad. I've really enjoyed working on this one. I'm even looking forward to cooler weather so that I can wrap up in it. I'm a summer girl, so that's a bit of a surprise. lol.
