I too was sad hear about Rudy’s passing. At 91 though, he lived a full life full of love RIP Rudy. Okay, before I get, here are a few links. I’m waiting until after I write my thoughts before I read the recap; don’t want to be unduly influenced. I did watch the Ponderosa footage though. Dalton’s recapJack’s PonderosaNow on to the episode... Back at camp after the vote out. It was hard to see some of the likable people—Lauren and Tommy so sad. They’re people I would really like IRL I think, but you know, it is the game. They were more than happy to crush some other people’s hearts and games. That’s interesting to read Tanya mention that NOURA was the second vote for Jack. How did I miss that? I just assumed it came from Kellee. Like Tanya I understand why she voted Dean to cover herself, but wth is up with Noura? Like all of you, I was super disappointed that there was no reward challenge. Come on Survivor! That’s our favorite part! Poor Janet, she did NOT want to go the island of the idols. It was interesting to finally see someone with restraint carefully weighing out their options and deciding against the challenge. Go Janet! Jamal I continue to find rather unpleasant. He’s not terrible and he certainly has his good moments, but overall I’m not a fan. I was really hoping he’d go home instead of Jack (which by the way, watch Jack’s ponderosa. That guy is a ball of sunshine and positivity). Once Jamal gave up his idol to Noura though, I thought man, I don’t love the guy, but that would almost be too cruel for him to go after that. The immunity challenge was a nail-biter. I really thought the other tribe was going to pull it out at the end. Good teamwork from both sides though. The whole situation with Jamal and the fire and Jamal with the rice—The guy can be pretty condescending. I think Kellee should have went for him for the vote out. Not just because of that. Mostly because I think he’ll figure out that Kellee went against him and I think he’ll be a formidable enemy. I think Jack is more flrxible and would be easier to make amends with after the vote. We’ll see how that goes. Tribal council was great. Loved the conversation. Janet and Kellee and Karishma too spoke so eloquently. And Jamal and the guys were pretty responsive from what I remember. Can’t wait to see the merge next week. Looks like all hell breaks loose with jockeying all over the place.

First, how sad is it that Rudy from season one passed away? I always liked him and his honesty. RIP Rudy. He was from where I live...he had Alzheimers. Now that you mentioned that I realize I had read that a while back.

At least that is what I think she was thinking.

I must be one of the few that would rather watch IOI instead of a reward challenge. Those rewards are usually pretty cheesy these days, and I'd rather get to know the characters more than spend time watching a challenge

Did anyone notice in the previews for next week, that Dean brought up Kelly's name to vote out. I'm pretty sure he said her name although I didn't rewind to make sure.

I get that, but the thing is, I think it’s too early to be thinking in those terms. They can get rid of him later—others will see and fear his likability and want him out as well. They have to get through the merge and I think Jack would have been more loyal during that. She still needs the numbers.
No, missed that. It seemed like people were targeting people all over the place, but that one went right by me. I’ll need to go back and rewatch. If that’s the case, that little ungrateful stinker! He could have been doing it for show though. In any case, I’ll be bummed. I like Kellee waaaay more than Dean. She’s one of my faves.

He totally said her name and my first thought was “Oh SHIT”. I really like Kelly and think she is an amazing player......however she now has about Noura as a loose thread as well. She tricked her into thinking she should write Jacks name down and EVERYONE knows Noura is a LOOSE cannon. I don’t think this looks good for Kelly! I do like Janet. She was awesome to watch at the Island of Idols. She has a good steady head and isn’t going to make rash decisions. The red head guy....Tom(?) who is a teacher..... I like him as well. I hope his game amps up. The girl alliance..... not so much. Lastly, Karishma saying Dean took 3 strikes at her and she only needed 1....that was hysterical. Her and Noura drive me insane....but I like that Noura doesn’t whine. She spews craziness, but I get her crazy

Looks like preview trickery to make us think Dean is targeting Kelly.

Tonight's second hour has just started and I am SO sick of hearing about Dan and did he or did he not touch the women inappropriately. ugh. They say yes, then they say no... meanwhile in the first hour they said on screen how the producers sat down with everyone and talked about it. But then at the beginning of the second hour everyone is denying it... ? Just give me separate reward and immunity challenges! Also, did you notice in the first hour there was a scene on the beach where one of the big microphones was visible? I'm not sure I've ever seen any of the crew or equipment like that except when there's a medical emergency. The whole first hour annoyed me. Hope the second hour is better.

I think the shot with the equipment was a deliberate choice to show that the show personnel are present and monitoring the situation. Like during Kellee's confessional when you could hear the producer's voice.
From episode one those girls have talked about Dan being inappropriate and making them uncomfortable. And now they deny it all. Poor Janet.

Dammit, TWO episodes and no reward challenges! I understand it for the first b3cause they had the merge with the feast. But not the second one!
In the first episode I thought Kellee was doing a great job. She seems so on top f things, so intuitive, I thought for sure she was getting a squirrelly feeling at TC and was going to use one of her idols. Damn I’m mad at her.
I felt absolutely horrible for Janet. She did not want to vote out Dan but did so because the other woman were repeatedly telling her how uncomfortable Dan made them. She felt it was the right thing to do. I know Survivor is a game but the ugliness and unfairness that happened to Janet made me sick. Those women should be ashamed of themselves. And Dan, what a clueless frigging dolt. Kellee TOLD him to his face that his touching made her uncomfortable. And I swear someone else did too. Then he had the producers TELL him.. He continues to act dumbfounded by it AND he refuses to change his behavior. He’s still all touchy, even to Kellee who specifically asked him not to. I truly can’t stand him. You know who else I can’t stand? Aaron! That guy has got on my last nerve for weeks but his behavior tonight was dusgusting—“Oh, I know it isn’t true because I would have known about it.” I LOVE how Jamal called him out on that too. He is swaying me back to his side. After all of that, Aaron just smirks and rolls his eyes. What an arrogant prick. Lol...sorry, I’m a bit fired up after these episodes.
Someone needs to get him out at the first opportunity. As far as I’m concerned, Missy, Dean and Liz can shortly follow.

I am so furious with those women! This is exactly why women so often aren't believed when they come forward. For Pete's sake, the producers got involved because of what the women were saying and then they turn around and say that they never felt uncomfortable. If any one of them would ever accuse a man of being inappropriate 10 years from now I wouldn't believe them because they have proven they will lie about it. Were they or weren't they uncomfortable with Dan and which story is game play? They are so stupid! I hope every one of them get called out about their lies at the reunion.

I found this episode very disturbing & difficult to watch. But I watched it in real time & then double checked my recording, that yes in fact Missy was complaining about how she felt uncomfortable with Dan but then denied it when he confronted them and with Janet. And this was after Dan was spoken to by producers about his inappropriate behaviour & told to stop, and now he's all clueless like "i don't know what i did". Ugh I'm so angry & annoyed by this episode!!! I'm curious to see if any of Dans employees (current or former) now come forward to say that yes he was inappropriate with them too. Or clearly they feel like they'd lose their jobs if they complained!!
Kellee was so dumb for not playing her idol.
And maybe they aren't doing reward challenges this season if they aren't showing them

I was really disappointed with Missy and Elizabeth, especially when Elizabeth said she'd say whatever she needed to.
I felt so bad for Kellee on the jury, not able to speak about what happened.
I guess I am left rooting for Janet to win it all. At this point, Noura is my second pick- I don't care for any of the people who sided with Dan. All of those people had to know there was something legitimately wrong with the situation when the producers stepped in.
Also, did anyone else think Dan was doing some major gaslighting tonight?

I knew that the way Jamal used his blank parchment that it would be his undoing. I would not have given it out in front of the whole group and would have used it wiser. I so wanted Kellee to play on of her two idols, I'm just sick that she didn't. And I was heartsick for Janet. There truly are very few people on that island that I like.

At tribal they kept pausing on Missy and I was expecting her to speak up. Disappointed that she never did. Wondering if it was forshadowing what may happen back at camp or pointing out that she isn't speaking up. Disappointed in the women and not surprised that Dan doesn't have a clue. Really liked what Jamal had to say but I also wonder if he still has his arrogant moments like at the beginning of the season and they just aren't showing them. Do his actions match his words?

That big serious on-screen announcement in the first hour, followed by claims not to know anything in the second hour. Very odd. Also, I keep waffling about Jamal. I didn't care for him at the beginning of the season but he's growing on me.

And seriously, I would be so embarrassed if that was my husband/father on national TV. I'm assuming since he's in the "biz" he probably has never been told to knock that shit off.
Jamal really impressed me with his speech and I'm so glad that most of the men seemed aware.

I was disheartened that Liz lied to Janet about Dan. Janet was right about it not being a ‘game move’. Lives are ruined about allegations whether they are true and false. I really liked Missy but sad she went along with it too. Rooting for Janet and Jamal. Like you I waffle with Jamal but I think he truly was the only guy on the tribe that fully understood the consequences of what had just happened.
I like tommy but looks like he’s going for revenge in the next episode. Doesn’t want to be told what to do by two women lol.
Kellee going home with two idols, dumb move! She should’ve played one at least. Glad Janet found one.
Also agree Aaron is a tool. Reminds me of a Greek god, thinking he’s all that lol. They need to get him out next.
And interesting the Kentucky girl (forgot her name) was quiet on the episode. Usually she’s full force. And same with Karisma...she probably be out next or kept around till the end and someone who didn’t contribute at all.
I think Jeff handled it well! I hope Dan goes next and I fully believe he doesn’t think he did anything wrong.

I’m just so bothered by everything that went down. I’m bothered that Kellee went home with two idols in her pocket. I don’t think she was stupid for doing so. I think it’s easy to judge folks for not using idols, but then people are also judged for using idols when they didn’t need to. Plus, if people give you their word and you think you’re aligned with them and then use an idol, it can cost you trust. I think she truly felt people were on board with her. There are still a lot of tribal councils left and Kellee isn’t likely to win individual immunity so she absolutely had to choose wisely when to use those idols. She’s just so sharp and intuitive. She kept looking around, listening carefully. I really thought she was reading the crowd correctly. I’m so sad she’s gone. I went back and rewatched the first episode where Dan laid on top of Kellee and she made it clear she didn’t like it. Then he wanted to give her a back rub and she said no. He kept touching. She was scared to say anything because she didn’t want to offend and cost her the game. She finally did speak to him very nicely and to his credit he responded nicely. But did he stop? Nope. Molly also had a serious conversation (not a game conversation) with Janet about Dan’s behavior and how uncomfortable it made her. At the TC when Kellee was voted out Dan pumped his arm in the air and made some comment like “yeah, put that torch down”. The guy is a first class ass. I feel like people on the internet are feeling sorry for him and it makes me sick. I also need to rewatch last night’s episode. Yes, Missy and Liz pissed me off A LOT too, but did they completely lie? Didn’t he do inappropriate touching with them too but maybe they felt they could handle it? It was wrong for them to exaggerate how it made them feel—very wrong on so many levels—but i didn’t think they lied about the touching and it being weird. Kelly’s PonderosaJamal ponderosaDalton’s recapBe forewarned, while Dalton talks quite a bit about Dan and that whole thing there is zero talk of it at Ponderosa. That surprised me.

Now that the dirt on Dan has been aired I am waiting for his employees or people he knows IRL to come out with things they have experienced with him. We will hear stories shortly. I will never understand why women are afraid to loudly tell an asshole like that, in no uncertain terms, “ You keep your fucking hands off of me or I'll beak your damned arm”. Dan has creeped me out from the first episode.
I didn't like Jamal at first but grew to really like him. I hated to see him go home.
Kellie is just plain stupid. Two! Two idols and she sat on them. She deserved to go home.
