I have rearranged a million times. I think I've got it now. It looks fantastic. I can't wait to see it all put together. This is the part that would stop me in my tracks. I would agonize forever.

Yeah, I started with a 5mm hook, and my square ended up to be 9"!!!! Now I am doing it with a 4.0mm hook but I think it will still be too big when I finish it again. Man, with a 4.0mm, it's tight.

I’m in round 6 of the border. Plugging along and hating not having a chart. She doesn’t write in typical crochet pattern style, so it is slow going for me each round until I figure out the corner and repeat .

I’m using a 3.5 mm hook - larger than most people, because I am a naturally tight crocheter - and I ended up with all my squares being between 15.5 and 16 mm. They are tighter than I prefer. I usually use around a 5 mm hook for DK-weight yarn.

Your quilt is looking amazing!!!!!! I'm no further than I was about a week ago lol Got ready for the Stampin Up convention all last week. Made the table gifts and 3 swaps (45 cards total) the last week. Had a great time at OnStage, won a ton of goodies, drooled over the new stuff that I can't buy right now. Disney is in 3 weeks, so saving all of my spare pennies! I brought with my crochet, finished the last wheat square, thank God. Also started the first sunshine one. That one was a PITA until I remembered I had stitch markers with. Then it was smooth sailing! It was heaven having a hotel room to myself this weekend. I booked us into the Homewood Suites, owned by Hiltom so I got 3 rooms x 2 nights worth of Hilton points this weekend. Finally have a free night coming lol The hotel was wonderful, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Huge rooms with kitchens (even had a dishwasher, stove, & full sized fridge! Though still the crappy mini coffeemaker lol). Very large walk in shower, super comfy bed and pillows. Free decent breakfast, 24h good coffee too! But, I slept like crap all weekend. As much as I needed to get away I couldn't sleep because I didn't have my DH and son with lol So planning on sleeping well tonight!

elaine , sorry about the "no chart" thing. I bet that's frustrating. And I am using 4-medium weight yarn not DK so I think using the 4mm hook will be good and I will just make sure my squares match the same size of my test square I am doing now. tyra, are the wheat and sunshine squares the extras that come with the yarn? I don't remember the names of the 6 free ones except heart and berries. LOL!

elaine I am at home without access to the PDF. I want to start joining. I cannot tell by the photos if it is just a slip stitch or if I'm supposed to actually do a single crochet stitch. Can you tell me?

Can you tell me? It is single crochet through the front loops only. Thank you. That's what it looked like but I couldn't get a close up shot in the Facebook group to see. And I never would have guessed the front loops only but that makes sense because both loops wouldn't lay flat.

I finished this afghan for the foot of my bed last night. I needed something solid color as the quilt on the bed is pretty busy. Before I started this, I was worried that I'd get bored, but it was very enjoyable to work. Now I'm ready for those winter nights when my feet need a little extra cover!
This is really lovely. Was this a pattern on Ravelry, and if so, could you link?

I painted/decorated advent calendars for my 2 adult daughters. Each drawer contains a piece of chocolate and a rolled paper message from me. I also gave them an empty clear ornament so they can add each message to it each day and then will have a new ornament for their trees with special messages from me. They both loved them.😊
