What we normally run into is people posting things for sale on Craigslist and then they don't want to sell it! At least 4 times, DH or I have tried to arrange to purchase and pick up an item, only to have the seller say they'll get back to us, then disappear!
Do you still have the item listed? Yes. Okay, I am willing to pay the asking price and would like to buy it. Great. Where and when can I pick it up? Then nothing but crickets...

If you truly don't know anyone that would use the remainder, there's no savings in the larger amount. Get the small. If it's something that could be useful if donated, get the large.

An amazon echo. We got 3 dots for Christmas. I’d like a bigger Echo for the kitchen and move the dot into the bedroom. If you are wanting the Show, you don't have to wait. It's $100 off right now and has been since last week. Ours came on Saturday and we are loving it. I need one of those plugs for my bedside lamp. My nightstands are huge and the lamps look best in the middle. I look like a contortionist trying to turn off the lamp at night. I am also keeping an eye out for the IP for my RV. I have a different brand in there now and it's about dead.

So children and their parents seeking refuge who fear for their lives are undeserving, but yeah, someone like her [/i]deserves[/i] to be here. WTF ever.

Silhouette Cameo 3 girl here. LOVE my Cameo. I don't ever worry about whether or not Silhouette America will support their software and machines. I used to have Cricut products. Never again.

My kitchen has that set of extra deep cabinets that are supposed to pass for a pantry but are almost useless without alteration. They're as deep as my countertops, and the amount of space between the shelves inside is huge. Once something went to the back, it was gone forever, or at least until my next complete cleanout.
We fixed the issue by installing those chrome Rev-a-Shelf pull outs from Lowes. It wasn't cheap by any means, but they are wonderful. Nothing gets lost anymore. I plan to install them in the lower cabinets next to the stove for my pots and pans as I can. As I said, it wasn't cheap, so I'm doing a bit here and there.

It might not be related to birth order at all. My mother is the same way about my sister and me, and I'm the oldest. My sister can rack debt to the rooftop and it's awesome. Changes houses, cars, furniture, and husbands like she's changing socks. I bought new bedroom furniture last year for the first time in 30 years, and she wanted to know what was wrong with the hand-me-down stuff I already had.
Buy the house you want, and don't ask for her opinion ahead of time again. Enjoy your new home, future new cars, etc without even considering what she might think. You only get one life. Live it for YOU.

I would not bring it up, but might start quietly broadening my circle of friends. And I would not bring up anything about the falling out nor share personal problems/feelings anymore. This. Also I kind of get your feelings of betrayal about your best friend choosing to spend time with someone you feel has wronged you. A best friend is supposed to be someone that you can tell anything to, and you might not be comfortable sharing some information with from here on out. One thing you might want to consider is that while you say she is your best friend, are you actually her best friend?

You might want to check out the Eversewn website. The machines get excellent reviews. Almost all are well in your price range. They have electronic and manual models. Good suggestion. My Bernina dealer also carries the Eversewn line of machines, so I figure they must be a really good machine. I haven't had the chance to try one out, but thought it would be a good class machine (my newest Bernina is just too big/heavy to travel with). Would love to hear a review from someone who has one. I am wanting one for classes, as well. I'm trying to hold off until Christmas, but I don't know if I'll make it that long!

No. Absolutely not. I wouldn't rent to a friend, either. There are areas of my life that I won't overlap if I can help it.

I love Doc cloths for washing dishes. For drying dishes, I buy the seasonal tea towels at Target. I also have a couple of those striped towels from Grove Collaborative. They hold up wonderfully and are generously sized.

We have become a society that thrives on malicious behavior, whether we are perpetrators or consumers of it. It's sad and frightening, and I don't see it getting better. In many ways, we are losing our humanity.
Yes, there should be consequences for the negative behavior. But is public shaming and ruining lives teaching the understanding and compassion we desire to see in others, or is it just breeding more contempt?

I would never saddle a child with something like that, especially knowing that the child might be choosing my nursing home one day.

I would absolutely take my mon to see her sister this summer, and stop in to spend time with the happy couple at the same time. An additional bonus of doing it that way is that your cousin and his future husband will probably have a lot more time available to spend with you at that time. Weddings are hectic!

Please do not mention it to her! Some kids are able to just let stuff pass, but some are not.
I remember one of my father's friends saying that I had fat feet when I was about 10 years old. I was almost 40 before I would wear sandals or any other open toed shoes. Sometimes comments from a grown up really stick.
I feel your pain, though. Slurping and chewing noises make me nuts!

I also wanted to add that you can get very affordable insurance through several places. We use Progressive, and our insurance runs about $34 monthly. The tag for our RV is about $50 per year. The expense of ownership might not be as bad as you think.

Definitely check out the used ones. I think Good Sam even finances used ones if you need to do so. If you are willing to look around, you can usually find RV's in new condition for a fraction of the price. Some people only keep them a couple of years and trade them in, just like cars.

Please also keep in mind when discussing it with your son he probably felt unable to say "no" to his aunt. He's also maybe a little nervous about admitting not being satisfied with the job or situation if that's the case. Because of the circumstances (her being your sister) I wouldn't hesitate to be the one to discuss it with her, rather than having him do it. At his age, and having been raised to respect and obey the adults in our family, I know that I would have found it very hard to say no.

About 10 years ago we "lent" my SIL (dh's sister) the bunkbeds that my boys had. They are Thomasville and go with a set. We still have the desk and dressers to go with the set. So the condition was that when we bought a lake house we wanted the bunkbeds back. She had no problem with that. She split the beds between her two boys. Well...we bought a lakehouse. She knows this and of course made a comment about having to give them back. I skimmed over it. I told DH maybe we should just go buy another bunkbed. DH says nope, they are ours. Of course, he wants me to tell her that!! I really don't have a problem telling her we definitely want them back. I guess I know that she will go and tell all DH's cousins and Aunts that I asked for them back. BaTW, she's really cheap - so I'm sure she doesn't want to go out and buy her boys new beds. I suggested that she could get her 13 yo a full or queen and she balked at that. WWYD? She’s really cheap? So are you and your husband! 10-year-old furniture has absolutely no value. Go to Walmart and get new bunk beds for yourself. So you replace all the furniture in your house every 9 1/2 years or so? Or would you just not expect insurance to pay for any of it if your home burned? Good quality furniture can last for many years, certainly more than 10 if cared for.

The part where your sister set this up in your home and behind your back wouldn't fly with me. Let your son do his babysitting at HER house and they can all eat HER food. Otherwise she'd need to be making other arrangements.

She's had 10 years to buy beds for her children. That's one hell of a grace period. Go get your furniture. Her being cheap isn't your problem.

Rufus Teague Apple Mash. We smoke and grill a lot of meat and it's one of our favorite store bought sauces.

What about ordering a tankini and having the length of the top altered? Alteration would be a lot cheaper than custom made.

Another thing to keep in mind is that some places that rent long arm machines actually require you to take a class on operating that machine first. The class often isn't cheap. I would vote to either do it in sections, or set up tables around your machine and just take your time. I can also add that since I started using spray baste, I find it much easier than pinning when it comes to handling larger projects.

I have a sister who just turned 40, and she does it in every photo. Looks like someone just scared the shit out of her. She also does this fake smile where she shows every single one of her teeth. You know, like she's about to bite the person who just scared the shit out of her. I don't get it. She looks like a normal human being IRL, but if you saw her on social media, you'd think she was nutters.
