But I have a great suggestion: All Creatures Great and Small (the new one, not the one from the 70s with its shitty cinematography) on PBS. Utterly charming. We are totally loving this show.

The Night Stalker literally gave me nightmares, and I watch crime shows just for relaxation. I had no idea he was so truly terrible and so prolific. I mean, obviously he's terrible if he's a serial killer, but he makes Ted Bundy feel like someone you'd run to if this guy was after you. I vaguely remember when they were looking for him back in the 80s. Didn't know the whole story until now. Many things made me pretty angry. One of the survivors interviewed must be the mentally strongest person on earth. So much to say--never saw a better case for vigilante justice but alas this monster got to die in jail instead of ripped apart by an angry mob. And there are no words for the women who wrote him in prison and worshipped him. Broken individuals I guess. Now I'm watching Hotel Cecil, which is another Netflix crime show. Still on episode one so not sure what I think about this one. Just watched both and was surprised to see there is a connection. We are on a crime kick and also watched The Ripper about a serial killer active in the late 70s in England. Another sad, but well done, story. The Trial of the Chicago 7 is really good. On Prime, Breaking the Silence and Code of Silence are both really good and follow the story of child sex abuse in the Australian Orthodox Jewish community. This was the first true crime story I really was aware of as a child, and I can remember at the age of ten or so avidly reading the newspaper headlines and being fascinated by those now very familiar photos of the victims. It was an absolutely massive story, no less because of the complete and utter mess made of the investigation because the detectives got completely fixated on going in one direction.

I can't with this level of stupid. I came for a documentary, not a conspiracy theory. We did slog through the whole thing but got more and more annoyed by the sleuths and attempts to make something more than the sad, tragic story of Elisa's death. I'm not sure if you got far enough to hear the bit about Richard Ramirez (Night Stalker) being a regular guest/tenant at the Cecil. We started CB Striker (Prime HBO) last night and are really enjoying it. It's a British PI series.

Hi I am late to the game but does The Miller’s turn out ok on Netflix. I tried to watch but have had a steady panicky feeling and I am scared for Rachel (from Friends). I have never had a reaction to a movie like this before.

My sense of humour apparently does not work. Thank you. Very much.

We're catching up on FARGO. I'm really enjoying it. We're a few years late to the party, but I'm glad we finally dove in to this show.

I can vividly remember her telling me about Sam's accident in Thailand and the medical repatriation etc.

I loved that they showed pictures of the real people and magpie at the end.

I am very late to the game here, but I just started watching LUCIFER on Netflix yesterday, and I am loving it! It’s a creative idea, and the main actor is really fun to watch.

Beyond Her Eyes really good on Netflix I think it's Behind Her Eyes but it is really good. It seemed so familiar to me and then I realized I had read the book not too long ago. Very suspenseful psychological thriller.

Okay, so we gave up on the old clunker Prison Break series and started watching Behind Her Eyes last night. Loving it! I tried watching Prison Break a couple of years ago, and I don’t think I even made it through the first season. It just didn’t hold my attention. I really wanted to love it, but I couldn’t really get into it. Interestingly enough, I’ve recently been watching The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, and the 2 actors from PB are on these shows - Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell).

Somebody on Reddit described what we felt perfectly: “Almost halfway through I paused the movie to get a snack and told my wife, “This movie is really good.” Less than a half hour later I turn to her and dejectedly said, “This movie sucks.” Haven’t had this kind of 180 watching a movie in a long time.”

We started watching Netflix series Crash Landing on You. Loved it right from the start and I hope all 16 episodes are as good as the first one. It is a Korean show so it has English subtitles.

Big Sky on Hulu. We really like it. I rewatched the first episode with my parents and I asked them the next day of they liked it. They were already on episode 5.

Might need to watch again to sort out my feelings on the whole thing. Read an article today where the director was asked if this kind of thing happens in real life (Marla's occupation) and he said, sadly it does. Scary!
