No, we can't get it in Canada except by buying it by the season, which we might do at some point. I have seen her in Scott & Bailey though and really like her. That's a shame. How about Touching Evil? We watched it on Prime but I see it is available on Fawesome which I have never heard of but we have access to it! And we enjoyed Scott and Bailey too!

New Tricks on Prime is another good show. Light hearted British police/crime show - oldie but a goodie-pun intended There are a lot of seasons. Only half way through and it hasn't gotten stale.

Not Netflix or Prime but I'm loving The Luminaries on Starz. Kind of a mystery and there is literally never a dull moment. Something is always happening. I never even feel the urge to pick up my phone while it's on, unlike with most other shows I try to watch. I like the setting, I like the acting, I'm down for whatever happens with the storyline.
We're also watching Raised By Wolves on hbo go max or whatever it's called. It's, well, not sure if it's good or not but I keep watching. Some things are silly but some are interesting. Kind of a post apocalyptic android-filled future war of the atheists vs religious believers who are not exactly Christians but similar, and attempts to colonize a new planet.

We just finished season 5 of Shetland. We don't have Brit Box but I found the DVDs at our library. Love the cast and just read there is a season 6 that should start shooting soon.

I watched A Fall From Grace recently and really liked it. It was a little slow in the middle but the ending was good.

I'm sure it's been mentioned a time or two in this almost year-old thread. Mindhunter on Netflix is so good. We're two episodes into season 2. Sadly, there won't be more seasons anytime soon, if ever. David Fincher (Mank) is the executive producer and he has said maybe in five years but not likely.

I recently discovered our public library allows us to stream Video , music, and audio books thru the app Hoopla. You can download or stream. Ten borrows a month whether an episode, movie, or book. Listened to Hamilton soundtrack, downloaded and listening to the first Maisie Dobbs book, and watching Inspector Lewis Masterpiece Series. Check your local library and see if they offer! Hoopla Digital is an app that allows you to stream movies, televisions shows, audiobooks, music and read eBooks and comics for free. ... Just as they pay money for physical books, DVDs and music, they also pay for access to these titles. So, while nothing is truly free in life, this is free for you to use.

Somebody on Reddit described what we felt perfectly: “Almost halfway through I paused the movie to get a snack and told my wife, “This movie is really good.” Less than a half hour later I turn to her and dejectedly said, “This movie sucks.” Haven’t had this kind of 180 watching a movie in a long time.” I think I felt the same way as well, it did take a bit of a turn at that point, but I also felt the ending redeemed it. Might need to watch again to sort out my feelings on the whole thing. Read an article today where the director was asked if this kind of thing happens in real life (Marla's occupation) and he said, sadly it does. Scary! I got about halfway through and wasn't sure I could finish because of Marla. I then cheated and looked up the ending on wiki to see if I approved of the ending. I did and so I finished watching it. And yes, there was a recent local news story about this type of thing happening. ETA-This for I Care A Lot.

Who's watching Clarice? I watched the first two episodes and while it didn't blow me away, I didn't start doing other things or turn it off either. It's not as arty/odd as Hannibal was but the storylines haven't been particularly good so far...so I'm hoping that improves. At this point I feel like I'll keep watching. A friend suggested I watch Behind Her Eyes, but it sounded a bit weird...is it one of those odd/disjointed shows? For those watching, the female lead is Bono's daughter (U2) I'm on my final season of my ER re-watch (331 episodes!) and I've really enjoyed it. I also started re-watching Nip/Tuck, I'd forgotten how 'out there' it was. I'm enjoying some Julian McMahon eye candy along the way. I have the paramount plus subscription right now and started watching Clarice because I am a huge fan of the whole Hannibal series and books. I am on the fence. I just don't see Clarice being this neurotic.

Netflix’s The One by John Marrs starts today, Friday 3/12. All 8 episodes are released; about 45 minutes each.
I hear it’s very different than the book. I’m giving it a shot tonight. We’ll see.

We watched the first episode of season one of Imposters on Netflix and enjoyed it! I watched Imposters on Bravo a few years ago when it originally aired. I liked it and was disappointed there wasn’t a season 3. Enjoy !

Sadly, there won't be more seasons anytime soon, if ever. David Fincher (Mank) is the executive producer and he has said maybe in five years but not likely. I really struggled with the first episode or two of the first series as the actor playing the killer (Edmund Kemper) was just so like the real person, the crimes were horrific and described in such detail (and based on real transcripts, I believe) and it seemed like such relatively recent history. I kept thinking of all the victims’ relatives who might still be alive and watching and found it too disturbing. However, when the second series was released, I kept hearing such good things about it, so I went back and watched the rest of the episodes. I didn’t find any of the other episodes as hard to watch and I thought it was a brilliant series but it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted.

I just watched the latest (5th?) episode of Clarice...and I'm done. Silly & boring. And for the record in case anyone is interested...no, medical professionals do NOT ever inject drugs into anyone's neck. I don't know where that came from and made it's way into TV shows but I wish it would stop. It's completely ridiculous.

I finished the Netfix series, The One (by John Marrs) over the weekend. I gave it 3 stars. I read the book just over a year ago and gave it 5 Stars.
They both have the same subject matter, finding your soulmate thru your dna. The book concentrated more on “matches” and their different storylines along with a serial killer in the midst. The series concentrated more on the creator of this “matching” company and her wrong doings, thru lots of flashbacks and only 2 “matches”, one being the police detective investigating the company.
Big disappointment for me.

We just finished season 5 of Shetland. We don't have Brit Box but I found the DVDs at our library. Love the cast and just read there is a season 6 that should start shooting soon. Thank you so much for mentioning that season 6 of Shetland is in the works. It just made me go and check which seasons we had watched (on Netflix) and I realized that we've only seen 1 through 3. We have seasons 4 and 5 on Britbox! So excited for this nice surprise! It's like Christmas morning! Thank you again!

cadoodlebug - Glad you liked The Imposters. I loved it and was sad when it was over. I just finished watching a good series if you like scary and horror. INTO THE DARK (‘18-19 Hulu) Season 1 & 2 - 12 Episodes each - 90 minutes each. Season 3 is due in 2022. Each episode is a different story and different actors. A good fill-in if you don’t have a lot of time.

Hi All !
There was a post earlier today about a movie called The Perfect Host (‘11) with David Hyde Pierce. I wanted to refresh me memory what the poster said about it. Watching now but just wondering why the poster took it down. Strange.
@cadoodebug - did you happen to see the post?

I started watching the newly released Operation Varsity Blues about the college admission scandal and WOW. Eye-opening.
They use real conversations from federal wire-tapped phone calls of Rick Singer among others.
Money, money, money.

Movie plot based on mental health issues, self-harming & hallucinations.
