I just finished “The Last Thing He Told Me” on Apple TV. I read the book when it first came out & liked it, but actually thought the series was much better. It was more suspenseful than then book was, at least IMO. I just watched this on Monday. I thought it was really good and I liked the fact that I couldn't figure out the plot until late in the series. From what I've read, there will be a season 2 at some point.

I watched The Perfect Couple (Netflix) over the past 3 days which is based on an Elin Hildebrand book which I haven't read. I really enjoyed it. It was quick paced, lots of interesting characters and only 6 episodes.

I don't think it's a chick flick- it's a murder mystery set in Nantucket.

I watched Wolfs last night on Apple TV+ with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. I enjoyed it a lot and it's good to see them acting together again.

We're rewatching All of us are Dead, it's so good.
I'm on episode 4 of Nobody Wants This and really enjoying it. I finally watched season 3 of Happy Valley and was slightly disappointed in the ending.

I've been binging Netflix shows/docs while I sew. Recently I have watched: Love on the Run. 2022 real life story of the Alabama prison guard (Vicky White) who helps inmate Casey White escape and they're on the run Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez StoryInto the Fire: The Lost Daughter. Cathy gives up her birth daughter and learns of her disappearance in 2010. A shocking suspect is revealed. Pretty wild. I have also watched all 4 episodes of Worst Ex Ever.I am clearly on a murder-doc-binge. I am just starting The Perfect Couple.

We just finished the first season of Ridley on Prime. A retired detective returns to help catch a killer. British crime of course because they do it best!

I've been watching the really good shows from the 90's/early 2000's, Dexter and now The Sopranos. I really enjoyed Dexter and I am loving The Sopranos.
On a recent trip I watched Monsters, the Menedez Brothers. It makes you wonder who's really telling the truth. It's sort of campy, but interesting stuff.

About halfway through, I was convinced that they were molested after that show stealing monologue in episode 5 but by the end, I had doubts. It was super hard to watch but I'm glad I did.

I find myself going back to some of the series I never watched the first time around or couldn't get into them at the time in between new shows. Recently finished How I Met Your Mother, Ugly Betty, Jane the Virgin, Breaking Bad. I'm in the middle of Better Call Saul and Orange is the New Black.

I finished The Perfect Couple during the week. I really enjoyed it. cadoodlebug I know others have said that it's not "chick-flick" but it's verging on it.... I think it would appeal more to women than men, and yes that's a huge generalisation! I doubt my DSO would have enjoyed it. Maybe "chick flick-ish murder mystery"? I just started The Resident on Netflix. I've only watched two episodes, and I'm not loving it. It's like a compilation of every medical drama ever, full of tropes, nurse having a secret relationship with the brilliant but abrasive doctor blah blah blah..... I think it will be one of those shows that I will watch an episode here and there when I have nothing else to watch.

We anxiously waited for the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy. Such a huge disappointment. I'm still angry about it.
We finally finished Royal Pains. Fun but a couple seasons too long.
We watched the latest season of Cobra Kai. Only 5 episodes until the 2nd part starts (not sure when).

Probably because we loved so many of the cast. We were crushed when it ended. I've never seen The Gilmore Girls and just started it last night. I still have Breaking Bad, One Tree Hill, The Sopranos, Dexter, Schitt's Creek etc that I haven't seen either lol. I'm always behind! I loved every one of those shows! And my inner teenage self loved Dawson's Creek too.

I was a huge fan of Felicity and watched it when it first came out and I rewatched it several times since then. I always imagine Dawson's Creek is like that?!

Teenage angst at its finest!

Ohh medical errors in movies/TV are like catnip to me. I might have to watch an episode just so I have something to complain about! After I posted here, I went and read some reviews, so see if I was alone in my disdain. I found a Reddit thread where everyone was saying how bad it was, and the medical people on the thread were saying that it is the most unrealistic medical show ever. That sort of thing doesn't usually bother me too much, because I don't have any medical training, so for the most part I wouldn't have any idea if it is realistic or not. But I can imagine it would drive you nuts! Just curious whether you would ever have an ongoing secret relationship with an abrasive, cocky but brilliant doctor? If so, you might like it.

I would never date a doctor, personally, but I know nurses who have. Blecch, I don't poop where I work! And they're usually married. Also, there's only room for one cocky abrasive personality in this relationship, and that's me. "Brilliant", depends on the definition. 😉

I loved Adrian Dunbar in Line of Duty, and Blood. Maybe it's just he seems morose--the whole show seems morose.
