Same! ha! The 6 episode drop last week was a grind - as if I had to watch it all right away. I felt like it was too much time in the pods but the latest episodes were a little more interesting. I'm also watching it but I'm not that invested tbh. I enjoyed UK more! UK was so much better!! I saw that Freddie and Ollie are going to be on the next season of The Perfect Match.

Anyone watch Bad Monkeys on Apple TV - hate that it only drops weekly but that is where my impatience shows! Yes! It clicked over after I watched the newest episode of Slow Horses and I found myself sucked in. Love the author whose books the show is based on. the guy who plays the captain and narrates the show is the actor who narrates the audiobooks.

We tried to watch Kaos on Netflix. Jeff Goldblum is Zeus. It was described as a comedy but it turned dark quickly. Some gruesome scenes. After the third episode we gave up. Disappointing because it got good reviews.

Just highlighting a different type of series, if you are interested in volcanoes then check out this new BBC series, Expedition Volcano. It's fascinating with amazing scenes. The link has other small clips which hopefully can be viewed outside the UK. This reminded me of the documentary The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari on Netflix we watched a while ago. Really good and a story I knew nothing about. I just finished watching "Getting Gotti" on Netflix. I'll look for this. It also reminded me of Under the Bridge on Hulu, a dramatized account of the real 1997 murder of 14 year old Reena Virk in my hometown. One of the girls involved was a huge Gotti fan, which sounds weird and is. There is definitely parts of the series that are completely made up, but Reena's story and most of the investigation part is true to what happened. I've been binging Netflix shows/docs while I sew. Recently I have watched: Love on the Run. 2022 real life story of the Alabama prison guard (Vicky White) who helps inmate Casey White escape and they're on the run Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez StoryInto the Fire: The Lost Daughter. Cathy gives up her birth daughter and learns of her disappearance in 2010. A shocking suspect is revealed. Pretty wild. DD & I watched Love on the Run and also found it so sad, but our kind of story. I started watching Into the Fire while DH was finishing something, planning to watch Slow Horses on Apple when he was done. Ha, I ended up starting it over for him and we watched both episodes. It has haunted me a bit. I just can't stop thinking about it. I'll probaby watch Monsters. The Menedez brothers are like Ted Bundy and Scott Peterson for me. I need to watch all versions of their stories. Into the Fire... I've started watching it this morning and it's SO tough. 😢

It was gruesome and dark but that's my thing!
We're watching season 2 of Gyeongseong Creature, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, there's been a massive timeskip and a lot of the old characters are gone.
I'm watching Heartstopper on Netflix, I've read all the graphic novels and I put it off in case I hated how Nick and Charlie were portrayed. Oh my god, I love it so much.

I just started Disclaimer on AppleTV+. It's very good and extremely graphic (sex) but its in an appropriate fashion and central to the story line. It stars Cate Blanchett and Sasha Baron Cohen in a serious role. He's actually a really good actor.
It's on Friday nights and I recommend it.

The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer was fantastic!
I have watched a few lately. Don't Move. This was decent.
Escape at Dannemora. Patricia Arquette is absolutely brilliant in this. Wow! And that ending. Whew.
Average Joe was also great!

Finished Nobody Wants This - loved it and also looking forward to Season 2 Finished recent season of The Lincoln Lawyer - still love Mickey and what a cliff hanger so can't wait for Season 4 Just started Territory with Robert Taylor (from Longmire) last night. I'm loving it so far. It is like Yellowstone but in Australia. Definitely thankful for closed captioning though because the accents are thick so they make understanding the conversations easier. It is pretty brutal in several scenes so far. We watched first 2 episodes last night.
My daughter just finished The Estate and The Perfect Couple - she recommended both to me. I have them on my list but haven't watched yet.

Enjoyed watching all of them as well.

We just finished "Loudermilk" and loved it. I love dark comedy and quirky characters. Sad that it was only 3 seasons. We loved Loudermilk as well. It’s one of those shows that caught on more afterwards than it did while filming. I wish they’d go back and continue it, but I guess the actors have mostly moved on. I agree - loved the character mix and wish this one would continue.

Loved Nbody Wants This. Can’t wait for season 2.
Currently watching all the Halloween baking competitions and Outrageous Pumpkins.
I also am watching the Gokden Bachelorette and sometimes DWTS. I love Ilona Maher.

I just discovered Hoopla free through my library. I watched Thelma the other day and tonight watching The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. I haven’t finished yet but I would recommend both. They are October movies of the month - not entirely sure what that means not sure if they will stick around or not. They also have “binge” passes for a few interesting streaming services- Hallmark +, curiosity stream and the great courses and there is a magazine binge.

Today I watched #seacabō - It’s all over; The Kiss That Changed Spanish Football. Even if you know nothing about Women’s Football (soccer) this is worth watching. Last year, Spain won the Women’s World Cup for the first time. At the medal presentation, the president of the Spanish Football Association kissed one of the players on the lips, right there in front of everyone on the podium and all the cameras filming this historic moment. This documentary was filmed a year later, and looks into the lead up to this happening, the immediate reaction and what followed. Is is really powerful viewing - I was almost in tears at times.

I watched these movies on Netflix:
Woman of the Hour - it's based on a true story. It was good but I felt like there was something of a disconnect somewhere I can't quite place. Don't Move - I enjoyed. I was all stressed out watching but in a good way for a thriller. Would recommend.

Dh and I have been watching The Sopranos. We missed it when it originally aired. If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching. It's quite enjoyable.
I watched Woman of the Hour and also felt like I was dropped into a story. It was good, but it was also missing something.
I've watched 2 episodes of Nobody Wants This and I'm enjoying it.

I started watching The Perfect Couple last night, but I'm going to have to pause. I'm liking it, but on Sunday I started a new book, Murder on Lake Garda. Oh yes, it's also about a family wedding on an island. In both, there is a pregnant woman, connected to the wedding party, called Abigail, and both the mothers of the grooms are uptight, obsessive, snobs. No one has died yet in the book, but given the title, it must be about to happen. I just don't think I can keep the stories straight, watching and reading simultaneously!

They mentioned the court case at the end - the player in question, Jenni Hermoso, is suing him - but didn't give any outcome. He was also arrested on charges of corruption, about the decision to hold the Spanish Super Cup (winner of La Liga vs Cup winner) in Saudi Arabia.

I just finished Disclaimer on AppleTV+ and it was so good. It'e very graphic but there is a twist that I didn't see coming. Kevin Kline is excellent and I didn't even know it was him. Sasha Baron Cohen plays a serious role and he's very good.
I'm watching Before on AppleTV+ and again it's got a comedian (Billy Crystal) in a serious role. This is a supernatural type series and I'm enjoying it.
Finally, I'm rewatching Bad Sisters on AppleTV+ in anticipation of the new season. I'm not sure why I never finished this because it's really good.
Anything to take my mind off of the events of the past week!
