This LO is for the Sketchy Saturday April 4 challenge, and is my take on the first sketch. I used papers and elements from several Joyce Paul kits, and styles by NBK Designs. Please excuse the Wild Man from Borneo in the photos, he was about 5 months into growing his "yeard".

This LO is for the April Photography Challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to capture an image that represents something in your life that has changed. The photos are of me at a company update meeting on Teams - instead of sitting in a conference room at work, I "attended" the meeting on my outdoor lounge via Microsoft Teams. I used a 'Sparkle & Shine' template by Fiddle Dee Dee, the 'My Happy Place' kit by Becca Bonneville and styles by Mommyish for the title.

I was so happy that I started, and finished, a layout in 1 day yesterrday! The paper line is "journey", an old crate paper line. "copines" means friends/pals in french. My original plan was to call the layout "3 amigos", but since these 3 are all in French Immersion, this seemed more fitting! layout 3 copines by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I finished DS14's wall collage, still need to take a photo. It has his grades K-7 in the frame. The matching frames for his older siblings are their HS senior photos. The only scrapbooking I've managed to do in the last week or so was completing K & Company Ready Made pages for grade school photos. I've included their school photo and class photos when they've had them. I also added the professional sports photos to the appropriate grades. It took a few hours to organize them all, but I have 26 total 12 x 12 pages done. They are all very similar to the ones I did for DS20 last month. To be honest, it's been very difficult to have crafting mojo with all that is going on in our home. I am thankful that the weather is better so the gardening prep outside can begin. It's not really safe to plant any non-frost resistant plants until after June 1st and even then it's a bit chancy. Perhaps when I am less emotionally fatigued I can get my mojo back.

I made some cards! I've been slogging - I might need to put these supplies away for a few days and work on something different. A fresh start might help. I like the cards (and I've had fun mixing these supplies with my Mom die cut supplies) but I haven't gotten into a groove/I ran out of mojo at the end of the week. These 4 were from the last couple of days. The Mom one will go in my shop, the rest are for Bring Smiles to Seniors (or maybe for friends). April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr and these were today's small effort, the one on the right is a Sheetload sketch and Kristie Marcotte's card challenge this week was polka dots. Yesterdays completed cards.
Hmmm, I wish I would have scaled down the layers for the size of the sentiment. Note for next time!

joblackford - love those colours and the way you put together the bloom st collection. You deserve many kudos for bringing smiles to people you don't even know! teacherlisa - you motivate to write/photograph more of my covid life! It's grounding to document it, yes? @gmcwife - I love your layers, I dont think they are too big at all! Love how you anchored the layers by bringing one element just past the edge. gramma - Love in the gallery, but wanted to add that the flip up flap is so charming the way you angled the photos! My quick creation last night. Started with a busy background pp and then I didn't have to do as much to jazz it up! layout a day to play by kirstendrew, on Flickr

This LO is for a style challenge at The Lilypad. We had to use a photo then crop part of that photo to use elsewhere on the page. I used a Scrapbook Generation sketch, and the 'Superhero' kit by Kristin Aagard.

This LO is for the April Journaling challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to do a LO titled "Life Right Now" and journal about a moment in time, using at least 200 words. I used the 'Seasons in the Sun' and 'Happy Life' kits by NK Designs.

If you did, I didn't see it, but then I have been doing more skimming than reading this past couple of weeks with dgs here. You have so many wonderful pages in response to these challenges this month. I don't do digi scrapping, but when I get some time to scrap again, I would like to try to lift at least one of your pages with paper & glue.

A very productive weekend for you ladies! KikiPea - I just love your sheriff layout! The design is great with the photo in the middle and the words and title "stuff" on the side. The baby shower layout looks like a great day!! When I see your daughter's layouts, I think our girls would get along nicely. I see she is a dancer and seems to really love her dance friends! My daughter is a dancer too with all sorts of sweet dance friends! And again, in your 2 Copines layout - my daughter studies French along with some of her best friend. I love this layout and all the embellishments! Finally your Summer Afternoon Layout - I love it with those slide frames on it! I have those and never quite can find a way to use them and like them. I love what you did!! That sure inspires me! gramma - Love all your cards with all the circles and layers! And Your Gabi layout is so sweet! Love the flip up component! @christinas68 - Night with Donovans - Love the colors on this! Also I like how you did the title and then echoed the same shape hanging under the photos! teacherlisa - I love all your Tombstone pages! We were just talking about Tombstone. My kids really want to go back there. I love all the details and ephemera you included on the pages! Your Covid Page is a great way to document this crazy time! I love your Joel's Heart page and how you matched older photos and journaled about them but then brought it around to be about how he is today! And your pages about your two boys are great too! joblackford - Still knocking out the awesome cards!! That mmom one is beautiful and is perfect timing gearing up for Mother's Day. grammadee - What a great Easter card! Love the cut apaert on the front and then the pop out eggs inside! Very fun! AussieMeg - Your Life Right Now pages is such a great capture of, well, life right now! Great journaling! Strike A Pose is a wonderful layout! Love the cute circles. Your Home Office page is great - I need to do something similar documenting working from home. Tough Guys - What a fun and different challenge to crop and use the pictures twice. And the Facetime Layout is another great capture of life these day! gmcwife1 - Love those star birthday cards! So bright and festive! And your cards with the layers and the round sentiments look great as they are! angel97701 - Sounds like you have been getting so much done! Good for you!

I decided to join the class by Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner called Spring Card Camp. I am not a great card maker, but I have been doing it a lot lately, so I thought a few more techniques would be great! The first day was to repeatedly emboss a design until it was very thick then use that to emboss a different paper. I didn’t love the embossed second pieces, but I really liked the first one and may try that technique again. The purple one is the first one.

Spring Card Camp Day 3 Cards. Today we stamped a background stamp in several colors, cut it apart and assembled back together to make a colorful background. The things in the front are all parts of exclusive sets that my LSS dies each year.
