We just happened to run across this huge back hoe on our walk, and he looked right at it. The title came to my mind immediately. I scraplifted a LO from a Paper Issues DT member, Jacqie. I love it so much, I will likely use it again!
Also, I’mma need to buy more Vicki embellishments! 😉 All this scrappin’, and I’mma run out! LOL

I made some cards yesterday and forgot to share (and then I made more cards today but forgot to photograph them). I made some more Wolf Pack cards now that I have the bear paper to fussy cut and use as embellishment April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I tried out a new stamp I bought recently deeply discounted and turned them into one layer sympathy cards. April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I experimented with gold watercolors which I bought from a Pea (thanks baylorgrad) and layered them up with the goldenest cardstocks I had and found that I actually have the perfect sentiment to pull it all together. Two pictures because it’s hard to catch the colors properly in still pictures. April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I like the way you echoed the Epcot dome shape with your choice of paper, and that sunny yellow is perfect for a sunny blue sky picture. Love me a good b&w striped border stripe too. All around fun and cheerful page

KikiPea - Yes, that was the absolute perfect title!! And I really love all those great embellishments tucked in around the photo and the long strip. Great layout! joblackford - Your cards are so great, as always. Every time I see you playing with the HS line I just feel like I need to buy it. And your sympathy card is so perfect! I love the stamp. I always tend to think I have to color things like that in, but you prove that it can be perfect in black and white. But your Heart of Gold Card is just stunning and I am sure even better in real life. I am going to check into those gold watercolors, very interesting and beautiful. And of course, the card topped with the perfect saying. wow!

A friend of mine lost her husband this week and I just feel so bad! Obviously, never an easy time, but this just seems a cruel time to lose a loved one. I got this perfect stamp in a give away at my LSS.

Heehee I was so excited when the Jacqui said there was a challenge for using a Dr. Seuss quote. I probably don't NEED anymore diecuts, but I'm a Vicki junkie now. LOL

KikiPea, I love your Are You My Mother page. That is such a clever title and I love that book. So cute. I love the clusters surrounding the photo. The title is done in such a cute way. Love this! lynnek, I am so sorry for your loss. These cards are beautiful and I love that sentiment. I find sympathy cards hard to make. This is such a beautiful design. I love the tiny flowers too. Just perfect. christinec68 and joblackford, I left love in the gallery. Great way to start the month, Scrappers!

These are the paints I used for the gold card - they’re really fun! Gold watercolor paints by jo.blackford, on Flickr Yesterday’s HS Wolf Pack cards. I’m starting to run out of supplies but I’m working in a few more today before I call the collection used up. (Normally I keep going until use it ALL up but this collection has some really nice neutrals I think I will save for other projects). Beautiful page, KikiPea! Yes. You definitely need to get you some more VB! You are ROCKIN' it! BTW was the scraplift for a challenge at Paper Issues? Check out challenge #57 I just dropped into our team challenge thread: you may have earned some points you didn't even know about! lynnek, big ((((HUGS)))) to you and your friend. So sad to lose someone that close any time, but especially now when we can't express comfort in the normal healing ways. Your cards are beautiful. The sentiment is beautiful, and having it embossed in gold gives it the weight it deserves. Heading off to Flickr now to leave some love for christinec68 and joblackford.

I got this perfect stamp in a give away at my LSS. Oh, your poor friend, what a horrible time to go through a horrible thing. The cards are gorgeous though. So many beautiful details, they’ll be much appreciated and treasured.

joblackford - I love all your cards - the gold is lush, the sympathy cards are lovely (and so hard to make, imo), and the Wolf Pack cards always make me want to pull out my paper pad. lynnek - I'm so very sorry. Beautiful card - I hope it gave you comfort to make it and will bring comfort.

One more bunch of Wolf Pack cards (scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point) and then I tossed the tiny scraps, put away the big ones, and moved onto something totally different. I’ll have to count up and see how many cards I got out of this paper pad. April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Shimelle sunshine and rainbow cards from 1 sheet of Never Grow Up paper. The happy birthday is for a friend. They’re not quite as dark as the look - the matting on the sentiments is purple. April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Another Never Grow Up paper. I might have to get more sheets of this floral. I made my usual 7 simple notecards from one sheet. I love the navy background of this paper and it looked quite nice with dark purple cardstock. April cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I have the new Pink Paislee stuff out for my next crafty session - totally the opposite of the Wolf Pack collection!

This is my layout for the April sketch challenge. I used the 'Seek Magic' kit by Becca Bonneville, floral paper from the 'March Documented' kit by Dunia Designs, which I recoloured. And this one is for the April sketch challenge. I used the 'My Passion' kit by Joyce Paul.

joblackford - more awesome cards!! AussieMeg - wow - love the bright colours with just enough white on Seek Magic! I like the more subdued shades on the family layout and the festive fun of the birthay layout - and that cake! YUM! kitbop - love those strong diagonal lines! finished up another sixty postcards to send to the nursing home residents - nothing fancy.
