These are the Pink Paislee Bloom Street cards I just finished up. I'm putting away these cheerful supplies for now (with one exception, to be shared soon) and moving on to something else, mostly because I'm running out of embellishments and I love these colors so much that I want to come back to them with more supplies when I'm feeling more inspired by them. This LO is for the April Journaling challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to do a LO titled "Life Right Now" and journal about a moment in time, using at least 200 words. I used the 'Seasons in the Sun' and 'Happy Life' kits by NK Designs. Did you start a thread with all these on line challenges you are doing this month? (For the points, ya know?) Thanks for the reminder, I've put up my thread now.

KikiPea, "you are my sunshine" - a fabulous 2 pager, I think might be one of my favourite pages I've ever seen from you, and I've loved all your layouts! I love the surprising yellow and grey and gold. I love how the embellies are layered and echo your shirt. It's glorious! Your "family" layout photo gave me a chuckle. Love the background choice, goes perfectly with his hat! And again, your layers are amazing! joblackford, I think you've found your calling in bloom street cards. Love how your big layers let the colours and pps take centre stage, and your bold "hello" still stands out. I finished two (2!) layouts yesterday. I'm quite pleased with myself. Except that my past six layouts are solely about my DD, and I need to find more family or boy focused pictures because I'm beginning to feel guilty! I don't recommend reading the journaling on the 2nd layout unless you want my covid-induced honesty I'm usually never that "sour" on a pretty layout! layout head over heels by kirstendrew, on Flickr layout mrs lyndes unfortunate hat by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Comments on the sharing on the last half of page ONE: Linda, I can't believe the number of postcards you are turning out! And I love the happy patterns and colours. Your stash is definitely beautiful, and being put to good use! gmcwife1, I love how you took a couple of basic card designs and some pretty papers and created such professional looking cards! Love the purples, and they go so well with the darker pp whatever design you use. Your pages are a delight to look at, teacherlisa. Bet your family loves to see them. Great detail in your photos and I love the background provided in your journaling. So glad you are scrapping again.

Comments on the sharing on Page TWO: More awesome pages, teacherlisa! Using the stencil and white paint on plain cb for your cover is the PERFECT way to introduce Keep it Simple! And it is so pretty! The "There is no greater story" page is beautiful. What an amazing photo. Love your EYES! And the purple gives the page weight and authority. Again, I love your travel and road trip pages: so many details in the photos (love the close-ups of the FOOD) and the journaling that really SHARES the experience. lynnek, I love your responses to the on line challenges. The baseball page is great on its own, great balance between photos and other elements that capture the FEELING of baseball. But I also love that you even lifted some of the green from the original. And your page with the watercolour background is AMAZING! That painted background is so pretty! You are really making progress with your Disney album, Linda. Love the primary colours for all the character pages. And, as always, those small touches that finish your pages off perfectly: the character stickers, and the flowers on the floral arrangement pages. And another awesome page with that sweet little cowboy, KikiPea. Love the barnboard background and all the hearts and stars. Slowly trying to catch up. Think I got the rest on Flickr.

Finally getting some scrapping done this month. Still spending WAY too much time just staring at a screen when I get home from work - I guess you'd call it relaxing? - but my hobby is supposed to be relaxing too? Kept this one simple. Used my newly organized "blue" drawer of ancient embellishments that I'm pleased to see in the light of day again. The photos are from a film point-and-shoot camera (ie. awful pictures!) from 2002. I feel terrible that my sons have such awful pictures of fun times and it's why I've never scrapped them. Once I went digital, I just couldn't bring myself to scrap these. layout how I roll by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Thanks to 2kendramage and msliz who hosted Hangout sessions today, I managed to create two cards and two pages. This first card is for my dgs who turns 17 next week. I couldn't figure out what to do for his card--they are usually hockey themed, but that is a sore point at the moment with all the arenas closed. I was looking through Pinterest and saw a card with a gamer theme and the punch line. Got up this morning and dug out my Bella Blvd Alex collection, and this one went together quickly: Level 17 front by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Level 17 inside by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then I started on ds's card. Suddenly realized that he turns 40 this year. justjac suggested the scrabble score twist, so I took a photo of the tiles I needed and the card went together quickly. 40th outside by Gramma Dee, on Flickr 40th inside by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: two cards created & shared (4). #1 Tuesday card challenge 21-04-20 to create inside & outside of a card (2), #4 four candles(1), #16 old supplies (2), #28 handwriting (2), #30 rectangles (2), #44 edging--inking and outlining (2). Total: 15. Then I was in the mood to scrap at least a couple of pages. This started out as a lift of kitbop 's page from earlier in the week. When my dgs saw her page on my computer screen, he told me HE wanted a page like that. So the first of the two pages has his bike riding from last July. The facing page has pic's of his cousins riding THEIR bikes last June. Got to use BOTH CocoVanilla Legendary and Vicki Boutin Let's Wander on these pages. Those two lines work REALLY well together! how we roll by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). #4 four sided (11), #11 four pp's on each page (8), #13 four pic's on page one (4) and three on page two (1), #25 brand new CV Legendary (10), #28 handwriting (2), #30 rectangles (2), #31 Squares (2), #34 fun colours (2), #35 two pages for last summer's album (2), #42 two fonts in title (1), #54 outdoor biking (2), #59 circles (2), #60 scraplift (1), #69 cut out shapes (2). Total: 56

Comments mostly from the 2nd half of page 3 and page 4: (sorry I'm way behind... ) lynnek I'm loving your cards! The techniques you're learning sound really fun and it seems like it's encouraging you to experiment and stretch what you've got. The florals are so pretty and the embossing technique sounds very interesting. And how cheerful are those bright rainbow backgrounds?! teacherlisa I love how real and honest your pages are, and you seem to be getting a lot done. Hopefully it's good therapy when you're not at work, a bit of balance. I'm sure your colleagues appreciated the lovely cards you made. KikiPea that bright yellow page is wonderful and I love the gold details facing, and all your lovely floral clusters. The sibling glamour shot is amazing - "this made me laugh" is absolutely perfect for that picture. Your "marty b's" pages are very celebratory, fun pages. kitbop I enjoyed both your cheerful rainbow page (love the grass layer) and your covid induced honesty! It made be a little more "sour" than you usually are but it seemed pretty reasonable to me! I'm not sure what that hat was all about but I loved the title and it give me a giggle. Hopefully your family agrees. The blue page is great. It is harder working with older photos but the truth is most non-scrapbookers don't really notice. I'm always apologizing for color casts and shadows but some of my family members don't even notice, or don't much care. The cute faces and the story are the main thing, and I love how the blues and the bright yellow/green work with the older photos. AussieMeg I need to catch up on more of your pages - you get a lot done! Sorry I'm behind on commenting but I love to see what you're up to. For now let me just say that the "sweet" layout for the Pinkfresh challenge is lovely. So simple, but lots of lovely color (always) and texture, it's delightful. grammadee I like the clever birthday cards you came up with - very personalized and fun. Level 17 is great - I can imagine he's missing his hockey a lot. I think this situation is especially hard on that age group. And the scrabble card idea is very clever. I love that your dgs saw a page that he wanted you to lift! I'm sure he'll be thrilled with the result. That background is so cheery and bold. I like all the movement and the mirroring of the paper and the boys in the middle.

I've been reworking some pages I made last year for my digital book and trying to stretch myself a bit, adding a bit more embellishment to my pages when I can. Sometimes it's working, sometimes not quite! I really struggled with these these Japanese theme park pages from last spring because I'd tried to restrict how many photos/pages I was including and I didn't actually have a lot of great photos that I loved. Add to that, I didn't actually have a very good time - I tried to enjoy myself but found myself wishing I was at the parks with different people. Sorry, family. Obviously I'm not going to put that observation in these albums!! So here's what I came up with after a lot of messing around. I shared half of this page before but figured out what to do with the right side - once I remembered my bag of ephemera. I took a photo of the map and then digitally softened the edges so it didn't overwhelm the page. I may add the real train passes to this page after it’s printed but for now I’ve created digital versions (and learned how to extract them from a background and move them around - yay! Skillz!) 12 DisneySea by jo.blackford, on Flickr This page has a lot more photos than the original and I was able to use some of the IACB elements I'd bought. I wished I had space for "here for the butterbeer" too. 12 HP WizardingWorld by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I finished this page yesterday while hanging out with fellow peas They kept me on task - otherwise I'm up/down and getting distracted every hour! Old 2002 pictures. I'm not used to using primary colours anymore. It makes me feel like a layout is "dated"! I used the same sketch I posted last sketchy saturday with the diagonal pp and 3 photos, but different proportions. layout ball cap cutie by kirstendrew, on Flickr
