Good morning! It's a new month so I figure we need a new thread. What's everyone's plans for quarantine April?
I am expecting an order from WoolWarehouse either today or tomorrow. I order sStylecraft Wondersoft Stardust in Silver for my Lost Souls Shawl. I plan to make this one huge and cozy and keep it for sure.
I am still working away at the Daisyboo Palmyra Diamonds wrap too. But I just can't get enthusiastic about that one. I'm working it basically whenever I have time without another project on my hook so it's slow going.
What's everyone else up to?

I am working on reducing my WIPs pile. At the moment, I have 3 pair of socks, 2 shawls and a summer Tee on the needles. I have so many other projects in my queue that I want to get to, and a request from DS2 for socks, because 'I haven't had new socks since the baby was born', but I need to free some needles first.

I have some Valentine’s cards that I made in 2017 that just need the inside finished. I bought some foil and I want to use 3 different colors. Initially I didn’t finish because I had to go to an office store and print the insides on a laser printer. The. I bought a laser printer, and promptly forgot that it would work. So, they’ve just been sitting there. I’ve never used foil before so it’ll be fun.
And I have some Christmas Cards from possibly the same year, maybe just 2018. Lots of coloring by hands on them and I just have to finish that. IIRC the rest of the card is complete, just waiting to be put together.
My bday was yesterday and after watching a video I decided I needed to buy some alcohol ink supplies, with the new alloys, and make card fronts out of them. What cards? Dunno. But I need to, the only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger is because I haven’t decided on a die-cut to Putin the front of my cards.
Lots of other WIPs and HNSs in my craft room; scrapbooking, knitting, crochet, card making, jewelry making...I’m just not feeling them right now so they’ll sit and wait and they’ll like it!

Please know I’m not judging at all as I have at least a dozen projects with yarn, needles and instructions purchased and in my queue Also, at least half a dozen of them are (gorgeous) scarves for myself. I love the cold. My house is 63 degrees right now and I comfortably buck naked. I live in Texas. I literally do not even own a coat. My fave is round and fat and scarves are not flattering. But I have many, many hundreds of dollars of scarf making supplies at the ready! I’m just curious how you end up with so many on the needles at the same time. Do you start and get bored?

I’m just curious how you end up with so many on the needles at the same time. Do you start and get bored? A bit is that I start and get bored, but it is also that I like to have different projects for different times. Sometimes, I am up for a challenging knit, and then there are times I want something I don't have to concentrate on, like at knit night or watching subtitled TV.

Hello everyone. I finally started knitting again last night after nearly getting to the end of some business problems. If I keep going I might finish this current shawl in a few days and go back to the crochet jacket. I’m turning a blind eye to all my WIPs at the moment. lainey you know you were spotted yesterday. you will be welcomed back with open arms if you feel up to posting again. Hope you are keeping well.

I’m not good enough that any of it is very mindless for me. If I get going for a while, but I’m always starting, stopping and don’t get much of a rhythm going. But now I have to say this is making me think of the last thing on my needles and want to work on it. It’s a super, super easy pattern. Hmmm, maybe I’ll pick it back up this evening. It’s the Gathered Scarf, this is the colorway I have also. Never could resist a pretty purple. Damn squirrels, they’re everywhere.

I worked very hard in 2019 to get all my WIPs done. I sorted out all my bins and I made donations to charitable yarn crafters. I'm currently down to my diamond wrap and a blanket. And then when my yarn comes I will do lost souls. I've even started using up my scraps on Christmas ornaments. So I've been doing fabulous with not getting distracted and going the distance lately.

Thank you I'm very well, feeling much lighter and positive than I did a few weeks ago (even in the midst of you know what!) My husband is in his third week working from home so I'm loving the company I hope everyone is well and coping with the current situation.
I've been busy knitting socks
The top are Dotty socks, middle the Austin socks and bottom are Favourite Vanilla socks. I have one sock of another pair finished.

Well he's 3 and a half (!!) and I have no time excuses so now's the time! lainey - great to see you again

That is seriously impressive. Is that across all crafts? After starting up with scrapbooking and going crazy each time I picked up a new craft I told myself I would only buy things for a specific project and I would mostly keep up with them. Ha! I had obviously never been into a real yarn store at that point in my life. Or a room full of stones & gems. Comparatively speaking I guess I’ve done well. Sort of. I got rid of a lot too, most of it yarn I purchased to make things for other people

lainey! Great to see you back! I'm in isolation for 7 days as from yesterday - fever, chesty - so I'm planning to get some crochet and cards done if I'm not called on to do some working from home. And today I feel better, only 99* fever. Typical. lol

I got rid of a lot too, most of it yarn I purchased to make things for other people I restarted paper scrapbooking in 2016 but I made a commitment to myself to keep it simple. I do one kit. And I throw paper away!!!! I know, sacreligious. But I cannot keep every scrap. And I have no mixed media type stuff. And my stamps and inks are very minimal. I have held really tight to the idea of my scrap space not being a store. So yes, I've been living much more simply. But, I am much more about process than product. I give most of my crochet makes away. I enjoy doing it. Actually it kind of helps me relax. I have a lot of nervous energy and keeping my hands busy helps me. So even though I produce beautiful things, it's much more about fiddling with the yarn. For scrapbooking it is much more about capturing the memory. But even there too I have cut back. There are a lot less pictures being taken on my end. I'm doing more of just enjoying the moment.

They are great socks lainey! I’m glad you are feeling a little better. I’ve never had a desire to make socks. I admit to raising one eyebrow at those of you who enjoy it. I just don’t get it, even though everyone’s work is lovely. However, these three pairs are telling me that one day I might just succumb. gar come and join in! My knitting has only been set aside for a few weeks so it’s nice to get back to it.

I am a failure at life jeremysgirl I always said I’d keep it simple, but it never works out that way for me. If Club Scrap kits weren’t so theme-y I could keep it simple with those. The papers are so dang gorgeous they need very little embellishment. Plus the layouts always ease my rigid mind as they’re very structured. What kit do you get? Not that I need one, I have more paper and paper collections than I could ever use. My embellishment collection isn’t that large though, compared to most scrappers. And I save mixed media for cards for the most part.

dewryce I get The Scraproom kit. I love it. It's just a little taste of current product. I make two layouts with each of the four mini kits and then throw stuff away. I figure I got my money's worth.
