I am really bummed, her last release is her last with AC. I know a lot of people found it hard to work with her designs, but I love her stuff and typically bought it all.
I wonder if she will design for anyone else, and if so, who? Her lines are the only ones at AC that didn’t like exactly the same each time. Her color palettes were consistent, and stuff went together, but they were all distinct collections and mostly lacking pink!!!
I have no doubt she will keep scrapping and doing classes, but I am going to miss her products if she doesn’t have a physical collection anymore.

No!!! I saw this on Facebook and wondered if anyone had more information here. Did she announce it in one of her videos?

No way. I'm shocked.
Would love to hear the reasons behind why she, or perhaps AC, decided not to continue the partnership.

She posted this on the Scrapbook like a Superhero page:
Is it just me or does it really sound like AC ended the partnership with her? I've bolded the line in which it sounds like the ball wasn't in her court?

peachiceteas that's how I read it also. Actually, it was this statement that made me think it was all AC "I was not included in the NSD activities from AC". It's a real shame - it seemed like she filled a unique niche and has a strong presence in the scrapbooking world with her classes & Facebook lives. I wonder if another company will scoop her up?

I really hope that another company will scoop her up, or that she'll do her own thing and continue to make physical products independently. It sounds like AC ended the partnership. I wonder why that happened. Shimelle is so sweet and she makes fun stuff.... I don't get it

Sorry, I had to run and get my grocery pick up.
I saw it on her Facebook live video, but I am glad she released a written statement. It totally sound like they dropped her to me as well, which seems nuts. Her stuff must have sold, right? I wonder if Dear a Lizzy and AT and MH are still “designing” for AC?
Granted she was the only designer I still buy pretty much all of the line from and I don’t buy any AT, DL or MH so I am biased, but it still seems to me she fit a market no one else does.
I hope someone else scoops her up, who dies Geralyn Sy design for? She is the other one I will buy pretty much all of. Maybe Shimelle can work for them?

I found out this morning during the Live as well and I am so disappointed! Her collections are my favorite to work with and I love how easily they work with boy themes and photos. I hope she continues to design in some capacity.
Considering her autumn collection was finished, it really does make me wonder what happened.

I'm so shocked and saddened by this! I've been head over heels for all of her collections since Box of Crayons.
If she doesn't get picked up by a paper company really quick, I hope she'll consider designing digital products under her own brand. I really like her stuff. I need her papers!
Whoever is making the decisions over at AC is an idiot.

Wow, this really makes me sad. I am a huge Shimelle fan from back in the 2Ps days, before she started designing with AC, and picked up most of her lines because they were so different from much of the other stuff out there, and her colors and themes were always so fresh and fun. I hope she teams up with another company in future. I guess I will try to pick up duplicates of my favorites, and some pieces I may have missed, before they are gone

Such a major bummer. I love Shimelle and her products. People are seriously buying Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy? They don’t even scrapbook anymore. Totally agree with msliz Whoever makes decisions at AC are idiots.

I wonder if she would be more suited to the likes of Carta Bella or even Echo Park. Gosh Shimelle designing for Echo Park would be great.

It is true that they are not the same style, but I was just trying to think of someone not owned by AC. Geralyn’s Pinkfresh is the only Pinkfresh I can use. I see her more Carta Bella, you are right on that. I hope they pick her up. Echo Park would be fine too, are they the same company? I just hope someone hires her!!!

That would be awesome if she gets picked up by someone else! I emailed American Crafts and told them that this isn’t going over well. This is a questionable decision.

Her collections were the only AC things I had picked up recently.
My LSS rarely brought her stuff in and that was always a disappointment, but the few times they did it never sold. So maybe while we loved it. It wasn't specific enough for the general population of scrapbookers. Or girly enough.
I'm going to go hunt down the most recent collection which I hadn't bought yet, but I want to support Shimelle's collections as much as possible.

This distresses me- yesterday I was using her last two collections to scrapbook. I loved a lot of her more recent stuff because I scrapbook boys and Box of Crayons, Never Grow Up, and Field Trip were perfect for doing boy pages.
I can't believe AC dropped her- her stuff was wonderful and she is wonderful. Ugh.

I still buy Amy Tangerine's products.... I like her designs a lot and she does still scrapbook. Maybe not as often, but she posts videos.
I hope that Shimelle's doing okay. She seems like she's keeping her chin up and will be fine, and I'm sure she will be fine of course, but I can't imagine she's not a little bummed out about it.

This makes me so sad. Shimelle is lovely and so talented. She's an ambassador for scrapping in the world. She's one of my favorites to watch and I've taken a few classes over the years even though her style is very different than mine. I still learned tons and her enthusiasm for the hobby is encouraging and refreshing. AC missed a real opportunity to expand her role into something beyond just being a name on collections like several other of their designers. Even if her collections in particular weren't selling as well as they would have liked, there are tons of things she could do to help promote the hobby.

So disappointing! They keep the almost-twin offerings of MH and DL, but drop the unique and engaging Shimelle collections. AC is the pits. Sorry, bad day and this makes it worse.

I wonder if its because she is more vocal about what SHE wants to see in a scrapbook line? Seems to me I read somewhere that she had to fight to put a certain color scheme or design idea into a collection. Maybe Dear Lizzy is content with being a yes girl and just having her name on something no matter what it is.

Wow, I'm shocked, sad and mad! Shimelle seems to be one of the few left that actually loves to scrapbook still and I love to see her use her product. I'm now glad my recent scrappy order included the paper pads of never grow up and field trip. I was kinda kicking myself thinking maybe it was too much paper cause it had doubles but now I'm glad I got it. Wow, bad move AC! Cause I sure as heck didn't spend tons of money on MH, or DL!! Looks like Simple Stories will be getting most of my money from now on!

After hearing the news this morning I ran to Joann Fabrics and picked up duplicates of her Never Grow Up collection (I already have all of it), plus her new stamp set. I tried to buy her project pad but my store was out. I may try to order it online.

So I am under the impression that the AC "celebrity" scrapbookers don't actually do the designing, they just provide direction/input? In-house designers do the actual designing. Is that not true of Shimelle?
Not that it makes any difference, I am sad to see them drop her. She truly is scrapbooking, unlike the ones that are just names.
