thanks nylene - well done kellyr21 - that's awesome! I'm back to typing up some of mum's handwritten memories - it's so interesting to read what she's written...less fun to try and decipher her handwriting. So far today I've typed up one about Snow and Ice, one about her grandfather, and now one about an old friend of hers (who I'm still in contact with). |

Oh my gosh! kellyr21 that's so awesome!! I'm not surprised though, you are a very talented artist! Congrats!! I feel so bad that I'm so far behind on leaving love in the gallery and on the sharing thread. Things are *fingers crossed* seeming to slow down at work so I'm hoping for an active and productive August. I really need to get out of the house though, I realized how few photos I have of anything outside of this apartment this year! nylene, I may have Rudy tomorrow night, it's still up in the air, but I will definitely be popping in to say hi to everyone! Good Friday morning, Pokeys... Congrats, kellyr21, on being featured at SB.c That LO is gorgeous! Love "seeing" you so active and creative! and I love seeing you joining in on the challenges sharing thread. Maybe you need to sign up for an August team? Sign ups open until this evening... Here's to some down time, joyfulnana, although having--to quote you--"the Rude boy"--overnight, does not sound like down time! But I bet you will have fun! I will have a couple of dgd's here for a week. The 3 girls used to spend at least a week every summer at the farm, the older two more than the youngest, but not for a few years. Hoping they will enjoy their time here. Enjoy your time going through your mum's writing, @homeschoomum. Such a wonderful experience for you, and I am sure it will be appreciated by the rest of the family when they see what you have done with her story. I have very little of my mother's, except for a table centre she embroidered and crocheted a lace border for and the simple wedding dress she sewed for herself. Today I need to put together one more LO: about the PEAS! I tried doing some cutting on the Silhouette last night, but I don't like the results. I either need to choose different colours for the layers (I thought I could be smart and just ink in sections of a piece of white cs, but the cut pieces did not look right at all) or decide to give up on that and do something else for my title block. Other than scrapping, I hope to pick some berries, do a little more laundry, make some beds upstairs with the just washed sheets, and go to town for groceries and the mail. Tomorrow I need to do the rest of the cleaning up there, bleaching down everything in the bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming. I hope to drop into the Hangout Saturday evening, maybe just to chat. Hope to see some or all of you there. May be able to drop in Sunday as well if there is one. Okay... Time to get off my butt and get moving if I want to accomplish ANYTHING on my To-Do list... |
