Back when we could shop freely there was this horrible clown with long pink curly hair I really wanted to buy to scare friends and relatives when I went to their house, but I was too scared to touch him lest he grab me like the doll in Poltergeist! I was planning on putting it in their pantry or some such place for them to find when I was there so I could take it home and do it next house I went to visit. That little mo' fo' would make it's way to the trash. I'd triple bag that evil SOB and tie him up to avoid escaping.
I hate clowns.

hahahahaha, omg this is great.
I'm going to have to find a picture of the weird vintage clown lemon juicer thing I'm going to have to sell for my FIL soon. I could hide that in the cupboards or peering through the windows.
My husband loved the Doll in the Hall concept. I'm going to show him all of these pictures...

Remember how I said I ordered the DCWV Ghost Stories pad? Well, the store I ordered from refunded me for it, but sent the rest of my order without contacting me! I only ordered the other stuff because I had a huge shipping charge...sigh. Do you think they should have emailed and asked what I wanted to do before they sent the order?

Since I just made a DD w/some plain TN journals, I'll be doing that. Not going to do OD this year, but it's fun to watch you all. I did make 2 Halloween mini books several years ago w/the kids' Halloween costumes over the years. It was a blast to make and I still love to look at them.

Here are a few more that would have come home with me if I weren’t such a scardey cat. I love that this one is wearing a shirt that says “Little Lady” because she looks anything but! We took the kids to a 1950s exhibit at the local museum and they had a 1950s living room, w/TV playing 1950s ads. This one creeped the kids out. DD would talk about it for years later! And couldn't imagine anyone wanting a creepy doll playground filled w/creepy life-sized dolls.

The graveyard hero scape kit from Hero Arts is now available at scrapbook.com for anyone interested. www.scrapbook.com/store/hro-cm478.htmlI ordered mine from Hero Arts and got it today. I love the scene with the zombie and skeleton. It’ll be a fun stamp set for fall. Thought I’d share in case anyone missed the Hero Arts offering!

Me upon seeing the clown and Little Lady dolls shared in this thread: "They need some serious toner for their hair, jussayin'." Clearly, my brain does not care about the creepy factor as much as the blonde-gone-wrong-ness. joblackford He is... Something else. That smile is Pee-Wee Hermanesque!

I'm stuck in a busy period on the work front. I thought with everything going on this year things would slow down but eh, not for me apparently. My October month will very much be a regular one as we enter confinement-like measures all around and the virus is back to spreading like crazy around here. Oy freakin' vey. No special outings or weekend trips for us, alas. I think the furthest we'll go is to the cemetery and my mother's garden. impearia Sorry about that shitty sale. I'd definitely complain. I found my pad on my national Amazon website from an American vendor. Shipping was included in the very reasonable price. Maybe that's an option for you?

So sorry to hear that Covid is spreading again where you are. I hope things are looking up for you soon. We have been under a very strict lockdown here in Melbourne, so I feel your pain. Best to be safe though, and we are finally starting to turn our numbers around! And I keep trying to remind myself I have more time to craft these days.
I emailed the place I bought the pad and they never got back to me...they already sent it too. At least it is MOAR Shimelle papers, which I obviously need to pad my stash, but the shipping hurt for stash padding papers. I did see another site that had the pad and would shipping to Australia...kind of pricey overall but I am thinking about it. I think I looked on Amazon without any luck...but I will look again, thank you.

Yeah, that's a massive HELL NO with those clowns and dolls for me When I was about eight or nine, my mum bought me a collection of short horror stories (aimed at kids) for us to read together. The first story she read was about a doll given to a girl by an "aunt" who then proceeded to kill her mother (because the aunt was in love with their dad or something). It freaked me out so much, I couldn't sleep for weeks after that, I don't think my mum realised just how sensitive I was at the time. Didn't help that she really gets into reading these stories, she should have been an actor! (You should hear her Gollum)
Quite how I've managed to marry someone who not only loves horror, but runs a Lovecraftian LARP I'll never know*...
(* I do know. He's awesome.)

Skellinton while I do love (and collect dolls!) some of those are pretty scary! And since I have coulrophobia clowns are a no! This isn't actually Halloween related but awhile ago I scrapped this photo of myself with clowns. I collect brooches too, and Halloween are among my faves, so I should do a page about them for my October Daily...see the photo for a photo of my creepy ventriloquist dummy brooch. My daughter says he looks like Slappy from Goosebumps.

That is an amazing brooch, impearia ! Is that Erstwilder? (and have you seen the Bone Brigade collection from them?) Charwee, it is an Australian company called Deer Arrow. He is one of my favourites. I used to go around and take weird selfies while wearing him for awhile. I have seen the Erstwilder Bone Brigade brooches, but I don't have any myself. I do have some lovely Erstwilder brooches but no Halloween themed ones. I should take a photo of my Halloween brooches to show on this thread. Do you have any Halloween brooches or jewelry?

A quick share before lunch: found an easy DIY idea on a German website that uses dry pine cones, felt, fake fur, wooden pearls and a hot glue gun to make autumn gnomes.

Has anyone been following along watching Krystal Iduñate prepping her Oct Daily on YT? She has done a lot of planning! It’s interesting to see her process. I’ve gotten some ideas about things I’d like to do and document. Especially Día de los Muertos related.
Just watched half of that, WOAH is she organised! I'm seriously impressed. Don't think I could do that, I'd lose half the month before I even start..

Would love to see your brooches! I love staring at pretty things. I've got a few pairs of halloween earrings here and there, just from a few sellers on Etsy. DesignosaurYEAH and AcrylicCocoFrankie are both fun shops.

I only ordered the other stuff because I had a huge shipping charge...sigh. Do you think they should have emailed and asked what I wanted to do before they sent the order? Oh no! Yes, especially for international shipping, if I were the shop owner I would’ve emailed to ask if you still wanted to go through with the order. I did the same thing, maybe from the same shop, justifying the shipping cost by buying a bunch of extra “stash padding.” I would’ve been pissed off if the Ghost Stories pad wasn’t in my order, since I could’ve bought it and all the other stuff elsewhere instead. Shop owners don’t know what the key thing we’re buying is, so they should really ask if they have to cancel part of the order.

Charwee she is that organized for all her projects! She’s already got a spreadsheet of December events and stories ready to fill in which products to use with which pages. She was switching between her OD and DD planning on her IG Stories last night. But all I could think was You think you’re having parties in December?? I can’t imagine a scenario where I’ll be getting together with people in October, let alone December. Maybe her definition of “party” is different from mine, maybe her “bubble” is bigger, but it felt a little delusional to me. Or at least naïve. Maybe I’m just a pessimist. Planning 2-3 months out this year is just not realistic for me.

I’m busy planning the scheduling gymnastics that I need to have 2 weeks between DS coming home & the holidays to have ANY hope of going to see my family that week. I won’t go if I can’t schedule 2 weeks work without contact because I won’t feel safe not bringing something with me. The risk to myself seeing them is another story that I have to think about. But I just might take that risk to myself. We will see. I may just be pretending that it can happen to avoid despair.

I don't think flexibility is one of the strong points of the hyper planners and hyper organisers... She said she's an accountant, which helps make sense of the spreadsheets. And who knows, maybe all of her events are socially distant or in-bubble or whatever. I'm not that kind of planner. I'm not someone who feels confident that plans will happen until they're actually happening, which served me well when we canceled our trip home 2 days before leaving in March - I was ready to go, but not quite believing it was going to happen until we were actually leaving. I did like that she was planning Hallmark movie dates and themes for days that had no events, and some of her "events" were at home things with the kiddos, which is not my life, but I could schedule baking something with myself if I wanted to! I'll schedule my Beetlejuice night and Nightmare Before Christmas day.

Big temperature drop and full-on autumn weather here, brr! I already miss summer... Socks, Chelsea boots, duvet and wooly blankets! The first Hallmark Fall Harvest 2020 movies are out and we have an interracial lead couple (I can't believe we're celebrating this in 2020 but here we are): Netflix has released Enola Holmes for those looking for something a little different: 5 days until October!
