Looking ahead to fall and winter I've already picked up certain cleaning supplies and some food items. I've been working on my list of what else we need. This is by no means going to tide us over for months and months, but I would like to have a healthy stash of our most used and consumed items. I'd really like to stay out of the grocery stores as much as possible not only for health reasons, but to limit all the extra crap that usually finds its way into my cart. Update: I'm slowly adding extra to our pantry/freezer and just this morning DH and I committed to buying a 1/2 cow from a local rancher that will be processed in October.

I replenish more often than I did before. For instance, we have one pretty full bottle of dishwashing soap. I will buy more next time I get stuff. Previously I would have waited until it was half to a quarter full.
Other than that, I've always kept a healthy stash of regularly used items.

No. Never did. Nothing except yeast and rubbing alcohol were ever difficult to find here. I’m someone who believes that stockpiling causes problems for people who can’t afford to stockpile.

I still can’t find any cleaning supplies here.
Haven’t seen wipes or any kind of all purpose disinfecting spray since March.
Just went looking today.

I have and that’s not like me really but for some reason I have. In the UK we’re tending to see local lockdowns now when areas see a spike so in reality unless things get really bad again and a full lockdown comes into force, shortages shouldn’t really be an issue. Nevertheless I have hand gel, soap, dettol wipes, surgical spirit (rubbing alcohol) rice, pasta, paracetamol and loo roll. I tried baking bread but I’m hopeless at it so I’ll leave the yeast and flour for others 😉

I am a little bit .... I did buy a can of Lysol spray last week. I have never used Lysol for any type of cleaning but picked it up anyway. Do you just spray it each room?
I also bought a few packages of Lysol wipes the last time i was at Home Depot. Can't remember the last time I saw Clorox wipes...
I also bought the 2lb. package of yeast at Costco. Seems like overkill as I rarely make bread but it was pretty inexpensive and I figured I could share some with my neighbors or family members. I was at the grocery store this week and they had plenty of jars of yeast in stock but it seemed liked the price has really gone up.

We are in hurricane country so are always stocked up well this time of year. I just replenish as I open/use up something. Haven’t seen wipes or any kind of all purpose disinfecting spray since March. Just went looking today. Do you have a Central Market in your area? I've managed to find the Tru Grit wipes twice in the past month. I've also seen that brand disinfecting spray at HEB in the past couple of weeks.

I do always check the cleaning supply aisle and if by chance they have wipes or our usual cleaners I'll grab one even if we don't need it. I used to take for granted that whatever I need will be on the shelf right when I run out.....I've had to change my mindset on that and buy things before we actually *need* them or else be ready to live without said item.

In a way yes.
I bought a 12 can pack of Libby's pure pumpkin puree as my stores have been out for months. Will need it for fall and holidays.
I am stocking up on cranberry sauce for holidays. I make whole berry but prefer canned jellied cranberry.
And now when I open an item, I purchase a new one same week when I grocery shop.
I am found clorox wipes, scrubbing bubbles in back in stock, and have been able to pick up cleaning sprays.
Just not 409 🤷♀️ 409 is my favorite. Oh well.

That stuff went out of stock and that was the end of it. I’ve found most things that were hard to find in the spring are back in the stores now. Often with limits, not necessarily the brand I want, and definitely not on sale. But I haven’t laid eyes on disinfecting spray in six months. And my supermarket has been out of both Method hand soap and Method dish liquid for months. Maybe I should try Target instead.

I never stopped, really. We had started a 'Brexit shelf' to be prepared, partly for shortages and partly in case prices go up. The lockdown showed us what we needed to add to that, and now I reckon we could go a couple of months if we needed to. It wouldn't be fun and we'd eat a lot of beans, but we'd be ok. All the things we've bought are things we use anyway, so as long as we keep up with stock rotation there's no harm done.
Apart from anything else, the ferries here were massively disrupted in lockdown and we are totally reliant on them. I am aware that we are very privileged to be able to afford to stock up on a few things.

I’ve been adding an extra $5 worth of miscellaneous groceries to my order each week to gradually add to our stockpile. I only buy things that we use, have a good shelf life, and that I can easily store. I actually got yeast In my last order for the first time since March!
I’ve been able to pick up disinfecting wipes every week at Target. One pack per customer of ANY disinfecting product, but since I’m there, I grab them. I have a kid heading to college next weekend so I packed some with him and I’ve shared with my parents. Plus, I work in a school and I know they’ll get used. I just can’t find my favorite wipes...the Kirkland disinfecting wipes from Costco.
I am the person that ALWAYS has one or two bulk packs of TP from Costco stashed away. Always. We have a ton of storage and live 40 minutes away, so I usually grab one when I’m there. I always have a hefty supply of cleaning supplies and paper gods at all times too. I have just always maintained a stash, but I will also share with anyone that is in need or can’t find any.

I haven't stock piled but I've started Christmas shopping LOL. I'm worried that there might be shipping issues and I don't want to shop at the malls or in crowds. I will still visit local mom-and-pop stores in November.

I am trying to stock up on the things we use most. (Peanut butter, veinna sausages/sardines in oil for rescue dog, hand soap,Bar S hot dogs for the dogs, etc). Don't do it all at once. For example if we need 5 packages of hot dogs, I will get 6. (We go through about 5 packages in 10 days).

Yes, it’s just built into my DNA (daughter of a doomsday prepper ). But it’s not crazy overboard. I just pick up an extra here and there of things we eat all the time. I’ve been stocking up on more freeze dried vegetables and soup mixes because we can always eat soup. I’ve also been getting freeze dried fruit to put in oatmeal, and just some extra staples and condiments. I have a back up of soap and detergent, bleach, and alcohol. It all still fits in my pantry so I’m not to hoarding-levels yet.

No. Just like before, I always have one extra so that when I run out I have something waiting for me. But many supplies should not be hoarded because they’re only good for a certain amount of time. I’m sure I have enough toilet paper and paper towels, but that’s something I’ve always had enough of.

Nah. I did buy a crap ton of groceries on Friday and made a joke about stocking up for the hurricane, but really, it was just time for a massive shop. I'd been getting by with small orders here and there and we were running low on a lot of things.

Wipes, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and paper products - we're good for awhile. I made a Costco run in June when we moved to green and that was intended to get us into fall. We've used less than expected but my husband still wants me to go again soon because he thinks the fall is going to be bad.
I really don't know what to do about food. Some things were hard to get but on the whole, grocery pick up and delivery worked well for us. We put in a meat order in late April that I predicted would get us through the end of June but it's still going strong. Apparently we eat less meat than I thought too. I do not think I'm going to stock up on frozen vegetables or things like that again unless grocery stores start to have significant stock shortages again. Our local farmer's market stepped up in a big way during the worst of the crisis and they always had fresh vegetables, eggs and milk so for now, we'll continue to support them and hope they'll be able to meet the need if things go south again.

I’m trying to grab stuff and have more on hand than normal. No wipes here. I want to grab some paper plates to. It seems like every week there is something that’s out of stock but at least it seems to change vs taking months to get stuff back in. It’s amazing to me though how many items are missing in the store. I actually went into Walmart hoping to grab a few things that I needed to pick up vs doing curbside. They didn’t have most of them. I was hoping for a few pairs of fall leggings but they didn’t have any. They usually start showing up in July. I wanted some oils for my diffuser and nope nothing and Hobby Lobby was also pretty wiped out and didn’t have any I wanted . Seeds, The whole display was filled with okra seeds a big display but all okra except two packs of summer squash lol. You still need to plan way ahead it seems. I’m trying to think ahead to the holidays and adding a few things for that. I just added Whole berry cranberry as I use that in a recipe. I’ll get a few cans of pumpkin to. Trying to come up with some things to keep us busy if it gets bad here again. I grabbed a puzzle at Walmart. I need to double check our vitamins and we have cold meds.

I haven't stockpiled anything, but I do have a decent supply of toilet paper. I am not going to get caught worrying if I will run out again. LOL If I ever again see Clorox Cleaner with Bleach, I may stockpile that. That has been my favorite cleaner for years. I use it to clean bathrooms and my kitchen, and I have rarely seen it since March. I did find it a couple of weeks ago, and I bought one bottle. That is the one thing I look for every time I go to a store.

In my area there are plenty of paper products, but the cleaning products are still bare. I haven't seen Fantastick (saw it on Amazon for $12, when it is usually $3) or Scrubbing Bubbles or Soft scrub. Still no wipes anyplace. Maybe its a regional issue on the stock.

If you’re looking for wipes or cleaning products check PrimeNow or Amazon Fresh. I have had better luck with primenow but have seen them in both places.
This morning I was able to order Lysol and Clorox cleaning products. They had Lysol and Clorox wipes but I didn’t need them.

I have a Covid closet. I keep a few extra supplies in there. Mostly Clorox wipes, tp, hand sanitizer, and paper towels. Everything else I will have to forage for like in March.

I have read several times that Clorox wipes will be missing from most shelves until 2021. Not sure why. I have purchased some extra paper towels (to cut in half) and a plastic jug-like container from the Dollar store. With some Clorox bleach, I can make my own Clorox wipes if needed. Not the same, but will work in a pinch.

Started stocking up in February before I left for NYC and pretty much continued through the present. We won't go hungry or dirty for the rest of the year.
Fall worries me because there is posturing about the covid situation and a lot of is based on political expediency not science. What will happen to the non mask non social distancing states when infections are compounded by seasonal flu?
