I guess you could say my morning was "for the birds" ! The LOAD prompt today had to do with birds and feathers, so I snapped a pic of a wood burning that dd made for me a couple of years ago, to go with all my goose ornaments, and put this quick page together: Flight by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then I finished a Christmas card with a cardinal on it. I have cut 9 more of these birds and holly branches, and will take them to the crop this coming weekend. Not sure if they will all look like this one, but they will all have the gold and the bird and a blue backing.
Points: one card and one page @17 points each for a total of 34.

You PEA's have been BUSY! Leaving some love for everything shared on Page THREE: scrappyrabbit, your Halloween cards are fun! Love all the different designs. Glad you can add some joy to so many people's lives this time of year! Linda, I love your truck card! Great use of the fall colours. Your ds will love it. In fact, I love all the different truck images I am seeing lately, for all seasons. Ordered the Carta Bella die for the Christmas version and can't wait to get it! joblackford, I love your idea of turning the calendar pages into cards. With YOUR card making skills, even the most abstract ones will find the perfect home as well I am sure. And your October book is AMAZING!!! Love all the creepy photos, the backgrounds you chose, EVERYTHING! schroema, you are KILLIN' those sketches! Love how you have blocked so many photos together, so have left lots of room for embellishing &/or white space. Your choice of colours is amazing. Love what you did with the ribbons! I like working with Allison's sketches, too. I have a couple of her collections, and they really work for scrapping busy boys! I have left love for some of your creations on Flickr, and am heading over there now to get a closer look at the others. See ya over there, gramma and joblackford!

joblackford your Halloween book is looking amazing! I rarely document much about the season, but I love all the details you are including. Thank you. This is my first time doing an album for October and I almost called it quits over the weekend because Halloween just isn't that big of a deal to me! It's fun, but it's not my favorite holiday or anything. I caught enthusiasm from other people but then questioned whether it was actually something I wanted to do. But I figured it would help me pay attention to time passing this year, and it gives me something to do with all the photos I like to take of pumpkins and decorations.

I’ve never done an album for October either. It’s just not a big holiday for me. I love the focus on the day to day moments though. Maybe I need to try one again for December. Do you print your photos at home? I usually order mine so that makes it harder to stay current on something like that.

Finally getting to this thread, I can’t believe the month is over half gone! For pages one and two - OMG @coffecrafter! Those minis are amazing! I love those little butterflies on the sheet load cards, very pretty cards. And the Christmas mini would be perfect for an easy peasy DD. I LOVE that pink and green combo with the embossed background. Those sunburst strips are so eye catching and I love the simplicity and the colors of “love is what makes us family” lynnek I love this LO of your daughter and her BF. Such pretty colors and I especially love those hearts, it’s gorgeous! I love what you did with those VB crayons! This whole page just rocks, all the patterned strips and starts. Lovely! Linda I love your “random” halloween cards, they are so cute! There’s love in the gallery for everyone who posts there. grammadee your journaling on “Recreating Christmas” is so heartfelt and lovely. So much awesome inspiration!

I apologized for disappearing last month in the joyfulnana September chat thread, but thought I'd say it here, too. I know this is all just for fun, but I was on a team, and didn't fulfill my part. I'm sorry. There's just been so much ugly everywhere that I took a bit of a break. I have been scrapping, though, and have the big event She Loves Color coming up this weekend, so I will have lots to share next week. Anyway, here are a few things I have done this month... These photos were taken in NM on the trip celebrating my dad and nephew's birthdays. This LO was made using the sketch below Metamorphosis: a photo shoot and LO about my fitness journey using Vicki Boutin's new Storyteller collection. I LOVE it SO much! I created this background using Vicki’s art crayons. I hope you all are doing well. I will catch up on this thread, and your beautiful creations hopefully next Monday!

KikiPea, these are all GORGEOUS pages! Love all the fall colours and textures on those first two--woodgrain & burlap & houndstooth, oh my! And thanks for the sketch. That one is going into my sketch file for sure. That metamorphosis page is AMAZING!!! I don't think there is a more perfect way to use that VB collection! So much to look at and love, but I think my fav part are the photo captions "Been there; Did that" The artsy background and use of the strips and layers on the second page are wonderful, too. Congrats on your success, and WTG documenting it and sharing it here.

KikiPea - thanks for sharing! I will take your sketch there and pretend you posted it as your monthly sketch challenge I have yet to use the new VB line and I love what you did with yours, especially the rainbow pp (which is my favourite of the line). The textured maple leaves - adore!!! Your story is also very motivational and I appreciate you sharing it. With regards to "letting a team down" - please don't feel that way. My favourite part of the teams is the community and feeling that we are scrapbooking "together", not how much you create in a month. I also love having the layouts shared here and the comments - that is important to me to. No one should NOT join a team just because they don't feel like they are contributing enough, it's not the point.

I'm working through my piles of unfinished projects. So many ideas and supplies, so little time and energy. But I have some Halloween cards done! I used the offcuts from making my October book plus a sheet of cut aparts (all DCWV Ghost Stories paper pad). They're simple but the holographic elements are designs are pretty cool. joblackford- What fun cards you made! grammadee- Wow! Your card and layouts are terrific! I love the dolphin hand shake!!! How exciting that must of been. grammadee I love your pages - I would want to meet a dolphin too! And I love the page about you and horses. I learned that my grandparents and their families were very good horse-people recently and I was so surprised. They had never mentioned riding horses when I knew them, but I think that was just everyday life when they were young. Or maybe it wasn't! They never talked about it. So I think it's great that you're including this kind of thing in your book The copper card is beautiful. Such lovely intricate shapes.

Posting something in this thread finally. I'm still playing with the Sketchember sketches. This was kitbop's- #23 Love your page and your stacks of books! I miss browsing books, although I stopped doing it quite a while before the pandemic - too much to read, not enough time! I love the Starbucks green of your title. And all the lovely warm fall colors of your papers. Makes me want to turn off my laptop and sit down with a good book right now.
